This book has it all. I found myself laughing out loud, crying actual tears, and wanting more.
Riley is a strong-willed, stubborn, Okie that doesn't take any shit from anyone. She's in search of a family she wasn't sure she wanted but knew she needed. She's tough as nails, but can be vulnerable a times. She does what she says and means it. She has a bat to take care of her and she knows how to use it, she doesn't need a man.
In walks Cowboy aka Waylon. He's the town playboy, he's the lovem' and leavem' guy of the BlackByrd outfit and everyone knows it. He doesn't need a woman except for one thing. He's a charmer from Texas and loves women. When he meets Riley, well...things get interesting.
This is a great story, it could be a RomCom with suspense added in. You can't have a BlackByrd book without suspense. This is by far my favorite book of the series and I loved every one of the books.

Best BlackByrd book yet!
I love this series and I love this author! She brings out emotions and you feel like you're there.
Riley is a stubborn, head strong, tough Okie who doesn't take shit from anyone. She's lost, looking for family, wanting something she's not sure what. In walks the cocky as hell Cowboy from Texas. Their a match made in heaven. He's an ass, but when she's in danger, he sees he needs her even more.
This by far is my favorite BlackByrd story to date, and I love them all. This could be a RomCom with suspense thrown in.
I can't wait for the next book.

There is no way you can prepare yourself for the suspense, the mystery, the angst, the heartache, or the earth defying love this story is filled with. Waylon and Riley find comfort, healing, acceptance, and a chance at the kind of family neither of them have ever truly had together in this intense, nerve-wracking tale! You'll fall in love with these characters and their menagerie of friends! See y'all on another page!

Another great one.
I really loved this series and I can't wait to tear into the next. I have questions that need to be answered. This book shares the ongoing mystery of whose the mole and brings in more with Riley. Ms Miley's anything but predictable with unseen twists and turns.
