While Buffalo goes to New Mexico and buys a ranch, Shorty finishes off the outlaws in Wyoming. Not only is Shorty now a U.S. Marshal, he’s also one of the richest ranchers in New Mexico Territory.

Not quite
Shorty is not very smart . For a cowboy to be so precise is cleaning and
Providing proper maintenance formula weapons . I cannot believe that a man as attuned to an arena full of wild Indians that he would start out a cross the country without enough ammunition . The main character doesn't banks man my smarts to out himself in such a compromising situation . Then the missing Indian . Shorty looked every where but up In the tree .I would question shorties lifespan theuncom?ing stories because he is not that smart education or otherwise.

The Saint Of New Mexico
Another excellent Shorty Thompson western novel! Well written and full of action, shootouts, rustlers, stampedes, and kidnappings. And just for good measure, a little romance as well. I would definitely recommend it!

Shorty is a jewel in the rough!
Absolutely a wonderful read. Young Shorty is absolutely himself ... not static, but evolving as he sorts out the bad guys that are guilty of past/present crimes.

Loved this story!
This is a new author for me, I really enjoyed his style of telling a story! It well be fun reading the rest of Shorty's stories! Dun colored horse's are among my favorite, buckskin's, red dun, mouse dun, claybank, smoky duns. Great writing!

Very good relaxing read
A little slow on the uptake and almost tooooo good to be believable, but once I got into the swing it was all good.
