Honestly pissed at myself for picking this up.
I held off for a month, not wanting to read this because I knew that if it was good, I would be depressed at having to wait who knows how long for the actual books to come up. That’s exactly what happened.
Story is fast paced and interesting, and the cliffhanger is a pain in the ass. It accomplishes exactly what it sets out to do, which is to introduce you to the grand conflict and the main characters, and draw you in enough to make you crave the subsequent books.
I already love Zoey as a character and find her to be incredibly strong and inspiring.
I will be suffering the next however many months waiting for the next book. :(

Unseen by Indie Black and B. Livingstone is a dark contemporary romance novella. This is a prequel to the Joker's Wild duet.
I love when Indie and B. Livingstone team up. I was pulled in from the first chapter and couldn't wait to see what was going to happen next.
I can't wait for the first book in the series Midnight Shadows to be released so I can get more of Zoey's story.
I would recommend this book if you like dark romances, reverse harem romances, stalker romances, or contemporary romances.

B. Livingstone in collaboration with Indie Black’s most recent prequel to ‘Joker’s Wild’ was wildly mesmerizing. This story has you on the edge of your seat desperately rooting for Zoey, the FMC, to find peace and freedom. After two years of hiding and running from an abusive husband, Zoey meets three very hot and sexy brothers who seem to make her rethink her plans. But can she really give into her feelings or is her flight instincts too strong? This book has lots of exciting adventure, suspense and steamy situations that are so riveting that I couldn’t put it down until the last page. When I got to the end, I was like ‘OH MAN, REALLY’?!? I can’t wait to see what happens next. Highly recommended and definitely a MUST read!

Oh man!!!!! That ending!!! I need the next book ASAP!!!!!!!!
I loved this book. The authors did a great job capturing us with the storyline. You were hooked from page 1 with Zoey's history and how she obviously is on the run from an abusive relationship. Then those guys....man o man....buy a fan ladies, it was steammmmy!
This quick Novella was a fast-pace, non-stop page turner! I needed to know what was happening next like I need air to breath.
Spade, King, Ace and Noah(4)...I am ready for more! I am so crushing on Spade. ...That tattoo scene....dang! I am wanting more character growth with all of them so much. This book was amazing. I cant wait for the next book!

Okay, I need more of Zoey's story, because this novella was so good!
Zoey, our fistey main character, has been on the run for two years because of an abusive past. She's moved from city to city, never staying in one place for more than six months. Zoey finds herself in San Francisco, and while the stress of her past is constantly lingering, she starts to relax a little. She finds a new job and instantly connects with her tattoo artist and her twin neighbors. Not to mention a fling from her past who shows up out of nowhere. The past always has a way of showing back up though.
I can't wait for Midnight Shadows, the first book in the Joker's Wild series! This novella was the perfect, spicy start to what I know will be an amazing series!

Wow!
This is an amazing novella that serves as an introduction to an upcoming series. It was a quick read but action packed Andy gives you everything you need to know. The characters are wonderful. Zoey is on the run and you can really feel her angst. You can also tell that she is feisty, strong and a survivor. The guys are hot and there are some very spicy scenes. There are some surprising twists, especially the end. I'm completely hooked and can't wait for more from Zoey and her men!

Awesome Novella
I loved this novella. Unseen is a fast paced why choose romance. I loved everything about this novella and I can’t wait to read the next book.
Zoey is running and hiding due to something that happened 2 years ago. She moves frequently to try to stay ahead of the people looking for her. She meets the twins and there is an instant connection. Then she meets Spade and the sparks were also there immediately.
That’s all I’m saying cause I don’t put spoilers in my reviews. I definitely recommend reading this book.

@authorindieblack and @blivingstoneauthor gave us a short and spicy little prequel. It was so fucking good like why did yall do us dirty and only write a short? We want the rest and we want it now. HA! The FMC is super likable and so are most of the men she meets on her hiatus. I am waiting impatiently to see what happens with the searching man. lol I wanna know what his deal is.

I need more!!
I know this was a prequel but I need more!! Zoey is such a great character. She’s on the run from her old life and doing her best to survive. I loved that she didn’t let what happened to her take away her inner shine. She also did everything she could to save herself rather than allowing someone to do it for her. The guys were great too. The tattoo shop scene was 🥵
Can’t wait for the rest of the story and seeing the relationships grow. That ending threw me through a loop and I’m left confused about who is on what side of things.

This is a great introduction to the new series! Zoey is a strong woman running from a monster from her not so distant past, afraid to settle down and trying to do what is best for her and to keep herself safe. When she Gets to her new temporary home she finds that even though she knows she will eventually need to leave to stay ahead of the Monster trying to find her, she really doesn't want to the city is calling to her. She feels as if it's where she is supposed to be.
I can't wait for the next book!

Mercy was this so good. I knew after reading the blurb that this even though it's a hot quick novella was going to pack a punch especially since these 2 ladies were teaming up, and boy was I right. I was hooked from the start to the cliffy end. This is the 1st in the Joker Wild's Duet and phew does it pack a punch, so read the warnings before reading.

This is a prequel novella for a duet that will be out soon.
I know it’s a novella, but I really wanted this story to keep going. I love Zoey and all of her broken pieces. She’s tough, and a survivor, but she still has so much fear and she’s very lonely. Her story just makes me want to wrap her up in blankets and give her hot chocolate and hugs.
I am intrigued by the glimpses we get of the men who, assumedly, will be part of her life in the rest of the story. I’m excited to keep reading about Zoey and the guys!

Who knew a novella could have this much steam?
This sets up the perfect storyline for a girl running from her past only to meet a few tattoo hotties ready to rock her world.
This novella promises heat, drama, danger, and steam. I can’t wait to see this story take off.

This is one of those reads that captures you with the first page and doesn’t let you go until the final. This novella left me wanting more and I am now eagerly waiting for the release of the duet.
A decent amount happened within this novella. Not a lot plot wise but more introducing us to the characters, revealing an abundance of drama and a few mysteries to boot. A great way to get us hooked. The authors even threw in a bit of spice.
Such an impressive introduction to a new series, and I know these authors will keep us just as enthralled throughout.

Man I love B. Livingstone and when she teams up it's not one to miss! I loved everything about this book! Although the ending now has me craving more! I love the introduction into this new series and I love Zoey. This one is worth reading and I am counting down the days until I can read more! LOVE IT

Wow! What a novella!
This book hooks you in from the very beginning. Zoey is on the run and is in hiding. Her husband is a well known senator. She has stopped in San Francisco and is laying low there in The City. I love this part because I’m from the Bay Area and SF is like my home.
Suddenly she meets these 4 guys. 3 are her neighbors. 1 is a guy she knew from her past. This was a fast burn and I’m so excited for this series. This novella definitely sets it up for the series. It leaves you wanting more. It leaves you plagued with questions.

Such an amazing tease filled to the brim with all the angst!! Zoey is a fighter and she is on the run to make a better life for herself. The fear that Zoey has is real and you can feel it like ice in your veins. This woman is always on her toes and has her head on a swivel. Something she never expected was to meet these delicious men whom she feels a connection with each of them and all they want to do is care for her. This prequel will instantly captivate you and have you begging for more especially with the cliffy we are left with.

It was so easy to get pulled into Zoey's story with this steamy novella. The book was fast paced and gives a bit of background into Zoey's past. The steamy bits were absolutely perfect. Despite the cliffy, this book sets you up for what will most certainly be an incredible series!

Okay that ending gave me nothing but more questions. Poor Zoey/Madison and the crap she has endured. King, Ace, and Spade were a nice surprise and I can’t wait to get to know their characters more. Now how does Noah and the other guy fit in? I hope the story comes out soon

Full of anticipation. I was definitely hooked from the first chapter. I was glad that Zoey got out of the situation she was in... but it must auck constantly looking over your shoulder and always being on the move. Definitely like the guys she has met along the way but I really need to know what happens next for her and to see how things are going to move forward. I definitely recommend this book to those who can handle the triggers in the book.

This book is not for the faint hearted with trigger warning for abuse and so much steam!!
Zoey’s path to freedom isn’t easy but I’m glad to be along for the ride. Indie and B gives us suspense with some twisty fun.

This story is only getting started but I can tell you that it will be amazing! Zoey is running to start a better life for herself, but her former husband isn't giving up on finding her to bring her back. Her fear and paranoia are real and felt throughout the entire story, but life throws her twists she didn't expect. Twists that come in the form of sexy men with true morals and a respect for women. The biggest twist, of course, comes near the end of this book and I am not so patiently waiting for the book!
