I was a basic bitch. My job was fast-paced, stressful, and a time suck, but I loved it. What I didn’t love was there was little time for the best kind of stress relief.
I was looking for a little D in my life. Okay, I was looking for a big D, but only for a limited time. Because I needed three important things. I needed someone who didn’t know me professionally. I needed nothing but casual, and, most importantly, I needed to come.
That’s where Dominick Reyes comes in. He was nothing like me and was so far removed from my world we might as well live in separate countries. It was perfect, because all I wanted from him was his dick.
R.L. Kenderson is two best friends writing under one name. They met in college and bonded over their love of reading and the TV show Charmed. They write spicy romance that often makes you laugh.
I wasn't sure what to expect going into this book. Can't lie, that cover is what sold me. Blurb or not I was diving in. This was a quick read, but man it did not lack in the hotness department!
Vivian is newly broken up from her long-term relationship. She's a lawyer who is sassy and fierce. Doesn't need a man... well until the toys just aren't cutting it anymore. Needs the real thing. After overhearing a random elevator conversation, she enlists the help of a coworker to help her get some D. Thus the D appointment.
Dom was freaking HOT! That mouth! Could talk dirty, but damn he knew how to use it to. He was attentive to the pleasure he was bringing his partner and always got his, but she got it more!! His relationship with his younger brother was the best!
If you're in the mood for a quick, but super hot read, this is it!! There were a few triggering topics in the book. It wasn't all just Os and rainbows. Can't wait for book 2!
D Appointment is a fun, sexy, and spicy read. You will need a D appointment after reading this book. Did I read this book because of the cover alone? Hell, yes!
Vivian has no time for relationships; it's why her long-term boyfriend broke up with her. She is far from heartbroken and misses having sex. One of her co-workers hooks her up with a D-Appointment.
Now enters Dominick, a tall drink of water. He is tattooed, Cuban, handsome, and confident. He has a tender side to him; you just can't but fall in love with him.
The chemistry between the two is undeniable. I love how Vivian found her power and sexuality.
Overall I really enjoyed this book and looked forward to othee books in the series
The D appointment is sometimes all you need. Vivian is hard working and doesn’t have time for a relationship. When Dom is suggested as a match for her she can’t resist. What starts as fun turns into something deep.
I really enjoyed this. It has a good backstory and the chemistry lights up the page.
I will be honest, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect with this one or how I would like this book, but reading the premise had me intrigued and I had to give it a shot. AND BOY AM I HAPPY THAT I DID!!!!
This was a quick, hot read that I thoroughly enjoyed and can’t wait to read the rest of the series!!
An uptight lawyer, Vivian, is set up with a tatted up sexy, bad boy named Dominic for…YUP you guessed it… a D appointment. And she definitely needed. What she wasn’t expecting was for it to be so, successful? Hot? Orgasmic?! and the chemistry. Geeeeez. It was oozing off the pages and so exciting!
The storyline was surprisingly well done and I couldn’t put it down when I started reading it!!
This book was hot, spicy and I didn’t want it to end. Dominick was made for Vivian and Vivian was made for Dominick, they are perfect for each other! This was my first time reading R.L. Kenderson and it won’t be my last. I actually preordered the next books in this series as I loved those characters so much.
The minute I finished this book, I started to read it again. I love Dominick and his take charge with Vivian attitude. And Vivian is so uptight, that Dominic brings a different side of her out, that was really fun and entertaining to read. This book had so much spice and the heart of the book matched the level of spice exactly. I honestly didn’t know what to expect other than this would be spicy, but the storyline was incredible!
Vivian is a woman on a mission, she is lonely and irritated and needs to be taken care of. So she asks a girl at work who she overheard talking about a “D Appointment,” to hook her up. And let me tell you, she hooked her up alright. From the moment Dominick and Vivian met, sparks flew! But they kept it as just that and nothing more. But as time went on and they learned more about each other personally and intimately, they realized they needed each other which brought a sweetness to this spicy book! It was so good! I didn’t want it to end. I loved the characters and the writing so much. This is an absolutely must read book!
I thought this romance was just plain fun to read! I loved Vivian as she is tough, strong and knows what she wants. Dom Is a sweetheart and I really liked how he makes Vivian a better person in some ways. Their meet cute made me laugh and I couldn't stop giggling when they exchanged phone numbers. I found this story really enjoyable, steamy and just entertaining!.
I received a free advanced reader copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving my fair and honest review.
I have to admit that I started reading this book only because of the excellent cover. That's the only thing I liked and the story was boring even though it had some interesting moments.
Wait why was this actually so good… I needed a quick read to catch up on my reading goal for the year—but I ended up falling in love with the main characters, their stories, and their chemistry! 🔥❤️
Woah!! As soon as Dom speaks to Vivian sparks fly and my kindle caught fire! Dayyyummm. I LOVE a dirty talking, boss in the bedroom guy and Dom is it!!! Viv needed the D and the Os that go with it to relax and blow off some steam. Dom is willing and a master at making her body come alive.
These two are witty and explosive but they also have big hearts. This book gives all the sexy times with witty banter and heartbreaking misfortunes.
I was lucky enough to get an arc and I can’t wait for everyone to read this!
Vivian is a type A career woman, a lawyer looking to become a partner. She broke up with her boyfriend a while ago and after being celibate for some time she finds that the stress is getting to her more. When she overhears some co-workers talking one thing leads to another and Gina hooks her up with Dom, with the understanding that it would be casual sex. However, Dom knows exactly how to press her buttons and it turns into a repeated arrangement and then something else that is harder to define. Dom is a tattooed welder and a process server from a broken home, and he's not Vivian's usual type, but they have strong sexual chemistry. His mother is an addict and his little brother gets in legal trouble that they have to deal with together.
Steam level: I mean, I told you already that their relationship started as a stranger booty call, right?
Series status: This story stands alone but it looks like Vivian's lawyer friends might be getting their own books, and I am looking forward to Preston and ex getting back together.
Verdict: This is not too angsty for full fun fluff status, despite Dom's family troubles.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Vivian & Dominick Spice was hella hot 🥵 these two were explosive together. Loved the banter between them, their text exchanges and even when they come head to head. Minor misunderstanding, but doesn’t take away from the story at all.
Vivian’s a hard working lawyer who’s in desperate need of some D, 😉 When she over hears a coworker discussing a D appointment, she asks for a favor. What she gets is Dominick.
Dominick is a tatted up, bearded, welder who isn’t interested in anything beyond no strings attached sex but when Vivian shows up, everything changes.
The ending left me a little wanting, Would have loved an epilogue for these two. It was a bit abrupt, and ended with a HFN vs HEA. However, this didn’t take away from the overall book, I just want more when I love characters haha
Will read the next books in the series, as they follow the other women from Vivian’s women in Law group!! SO excited!!
Vivian is an attorney married to her job. All she does is work - and all work and no play makes anyone cranky. So when Vivian overhears her co-worker talking about making a "D" Appointment, she decides it's precisely what she needs. Enter Dominick Reyes. He is the opposite of Vivian in every way, but he does things to her that set her entire body ablaze. She feels a little hesitant at first. But once they get into it, he rocks her world and, along with it, her entire foundation in life.
Okay - I was a bit hesitant about this at first because…honestly? The D Appointment? I expected a corny and highly drawn-out erotica chapter from a Penthouse Forum book. But…fool me once. It was SO much more. This book was the complete opposite. It told us a story not only of a woman who works in a testosterone-heavy world that neglects herself on a fundamental level but of a man that, by all accounts, should be something completely different just based on how he looks. Dominic and Vivian are thrown together to satisfy one of our basic hierarchy of needs and find out that opposites really attract.
I read a lot of romance novels. First impressions are what make or break the book for me. If the author can't sell what we're buying, I lose interest fast. I found this passage to be pretty humourous, but it pretty much made the entire book for me.
"The sound of footsteps turned my attention from the living room to the hallway, where a person who had to be Dom stepped out. I held my breath as the dark-haired man grabbed the ends of the white towel wrapped around his neck and stared at me. A glint in his hazel eyes was followed by him licking his bottom lip, which was full and dark pink. The sexiness flowed off of him like it was a tangible thing I could touch, and I was entranced by him. I was also wet.
“You must be Vivian,” he muttered.
Hearing him speak was enough to break me out of my stupor, and I swiftly became aware of the rest of him.
Besides the towel, he only had on a pair of well-worn jeans and a silver chain around his neck with a gold medallion. He had a dark beard that framed his perfect mouth, a nose piercing, an earring, and tattoos that covered not just his arms, but also his chest and his neck. He was the exact opposite of who I would date in real life—from his home to his appearance. I held up a finger. “One moment, please.” Reaching into my purse, I found my phone and pulled it out.
Me: Gina, is this some kind of joke? I’m sure your friend is perfectly nice, but he isn’t my type.
Rather than text me back, Gina called me. “This is Vivian,” I answered.
A deep sigh sounded on the other side. “You are a really hard person to do a favor for. Should I tell him you’ve changed your mind, or are you staying?”
My phone was plucked from my hand from behind me, and I spun around, coming face-to-face with Dom’s chest. A fleeting thought of what he would taste like if I licked him flashed in my head.
“She’s staying,” he said into my phone. He hit End, slipped my bag from my arm, put my cell inside, and set it on the floor.
“How do you know I’m staying?” I asked.
He moved forward, causing me to step back until my butt hit the wall. I swallowed hard.
Dom caged me in with his arms on either side of my head and met my eyes. “Gina said that you need to get laid. That’s why you’re here, are you not?” Heat rose to my cheeks.
“Yes,” I admitted, but I didn’t want him to forget the most important part. “But I need a little more than to just get laid.”
He tilted his head to the side, not picking up on my subtle hint. I cleared my throat. “I need to come.”
He grinned. “Oh, you’ll come all right.” He stepped back and bit his lip as he studied me. Grabbing my hand, he pulled me toward the hall. “Let’s go.””
3.5-4 stars. Vivian Stern is in a rut regarding her sex life having been single for a while and asks to be hooked up with a guy who can deliver through a coworker, hence the title of The D Appointment. Dominick Reyes is his name and he's definitely D all the way and doesn't disappoint. I liked the premise of how these two were not meant to be a long term couple given how polar opposite they were, but simply a fling that extended into multiple meetups. The chemistry was undeniable and Dominick brought out a side of Vivian that she never knew existed. Even better was how Dominick wouldn't settle for her excuses and always found a way to get through to her, which made him even more appealing. While they had physical attraction in spades, I wouldn't have minded a bit more focus on their actual connection as a couple and see them communicate more on a personal level even though Vivian came through for Dominick regarding a serious dilemma. They were very much a zero to sixty type of pace that could've quickly burned out so I wanted more intimacy to keep them tethered away from all the steam.
These two authors have NEVER let me down and this book just is another stellar example. It has everything from humour, romance, chemistry, sizzle, jealousy, self-doubt, worry, angry and all the feels in between. And not just between the two main characters too- there’s lots going on throughout the book which leads to fantastic spin-offs!! Vivian and Dominick have off the charts sparks (did someone call the fire department?? They might need a hosing off) during their first encounter which leads to more D appointments. Can more become of their casual releasing of endorphins?
The reason this is three stars is not because of the fantastic writing. It is because it is a short escape into fantasy land. It does the intended job.
I was lucky enough to Beta read this and y’all are going to lose your minds over how fucking phenomenal this book is!
I FUCKING LOVE DOM!!!
Dom is THE perfect book boyfriend!!! He is sexy AF, gives allll the orgasms, smart, an alpha without being an alphahole, he has a soft side, and he knows how to treat a woman! He might have started off as a D appointment but that’s not all he has to offer. He’s more than eye candy with a big D that he knows how to use. You might need to get ready for this D appointment, he’s going to give you a hell of a ride!
Vivian is a badass bitch and you’ll love her, love to hate her, and love to see her grow. It was refreshing to see a female main character do some growing in the emotional intelligence and relationships capacity for once. While Vivian may be a badass in the professional sense, she’s a hot mess express in the personal sense. Don’t worry she has a crew of kickass women behind her who help her get her shit together, it all starts with a D appointment!
The D Appointment definitely brings the D! It also brings laughter, smiles, amazing secondary characters, drama, oh and did I mention LOTS of sex, and you’ll love every minute of it!
RL Kenderson has once again delivered a fun, witty read in a very saucy book, The D Appointment.
Lawyer Vivian has had a dry spell in her dating life and she just needs to take the edge off. Luckily a co-worker of hers has a line on someone who can deliver some no-strings-attached sex. Dominick is up for good sex any time and is happy to help Vivian out. Of course, once they get into multiple "appointments" it becomes clear that the relationship that is developing between the two is filled with lots of messy and tangled strings.
I like how RL Kenderson moves the story along and creates interesting, realistic characters with flaws. They seem relatable, or at the least realistic, and when the conflict arises in the book, it makes sense.
I've become a fast fan of Kenderson's work. I know when I pick up a book by them, that it will be a quick, fun, and interesting read.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I almost backed out of reading this one when I read the blurb. I’m not one who is impressed by dirty talking. But the idea of a lawyer hooking up with a tattooed bad boy as Dominick Reyes was described could either be something fun or a disaster. Anyway, this was much better than I had anticipated.
Vivian Stern is a lawyer, pushing herself to become a partner, surrounded by men, but maybe not the kind you would want to date. And since these were her co-workers, it was not a good idea to find stress relief in that arena. But getting set up with Dominick promised relief and beyond. So she agreed. From the dialog alone, Dominick is completely confident that he can satisfy her requirements. Will she be happy with a “one and done” event? Or is Vivian about to find something that has been missing in her life for a long time?
I LOVE Dom!!! Thiis book is so hot and spicy 🔥 The first meeting between Dom and Vivian is so HOT! This book is amazing. R.L Kenderson are two amazing writers that never disappoints ❤ cannot wait for more in this series
This is book 1 of 3 in the Rendezvous Series. This book focused on Vivian Stern and Dominick Reyes. Vivian is single but needs to release some stress; Dominick is more than willing to help her with no strings attached. But when being strangers with benefits with a single man almost daily feelings may get in the way.
My rating:☕️☕️☕️☕️☕️(5/5) I love Dom!!! This book was such a fast read if felt like I had just started it when it ended. His relationship with Vivian is simple; they get together whenever the other needs to release some stress. Vivian gets a D appointment while Dom gets a V appointment. But when you spend so much time with someone while ya'll aren't getting to know each other you still grow attached. Seeing both of them try to stay at a distance thinking they can do without one another only to be at each others presence and give into instinct is so cute!!! Seeing Vivian discover things about herself at the hands of Dom is amazing to see. I love happy endings but I feel like this one ended too quick without an epilogue but it sure was an enjoyable read.
🚨🚨Spoilers below read at your own risk🚨🚨
Their relationships prove that you indeed can spend years with one partner and feel nothing and spend barely weeks to months with someone else and feel more than you thought possible. Vivian seems prideful the second she realized she felt more for Dom instead of asking him for clarification she would fall back on the agreement from day 1 and try to distance herself. Only to be in his presence again and give into instinct and desire the moment they were within arms reach of one another. They are both so different yet compliment each other well. Dom goes through a lot in his personal life with his brother and mom and when Vivian sees she wants to help but Dom doesn't want her to think he is using her. With everything he has going on he knows he wants Vivian but misunderstandings she refuses to speak to him about keep her at a distance from him. I loved the second he cleared up all her misunderstandings and practically forced her to see his way was also what she was wanting. I can't wait for the other 2 books in the series.

When I read the synopsis of the ARC, I was ready for a spicy, fun read, but it was more than that. I have not read much by these authors but after this ARC provided by Hidden Gems, I might have to read more by them. This is the story of Vivian, a hardworking lawyer who is on the partner track at her firm. Recently ended a relationship and does not have time for a new one so when she hears co-workers discussing a “D Appointment” she decides that might be the answer. Enter Dominick, a tattooed welder, who answers the call for the appointment and decides there is something there with Vivian. Although it starts as just one night, there is a connection and even though they are fighting it, they seem to be building a relationship. Vivian learns more about Dominick and his background, so when he needs help, she is there for him
This romcom is the first book I’ve read by this author (pair of authors). Vivian Stern is a hard-working lawyer who’s in need of some stress relief with no strings. A colleague sets her up with Dominick—a pierced & tatted guy with a soft interior. I liked that she had a professional career & he had to work two jobs and this was not an issue that was even discussed. Their family backgrounds were different but there was respect between to acknowledge that, no judgment. And between the sheets, these two made the world burn. Loved the secondary characters & hoping Delaney gets a second chance. I did have an issue with the formatting of the text messages in the story—at 11 point font & beyond, the words are impacted with only a letter or two per line, and trying to figure out the words became a bit of a puzzle.
"I forgot to introduce myself. Some people call me D, others call me Dom, but my full name is Dominick. And that’s the only name I want you to call out when I make you come.”- Dom
Y'all this book is so HOTT... like you'll want to read it in the shower to avoid flames hott! And also to cool off because Dom is a cocky dirty talking boss. He just exudes sex appeal; it's no wonder he provides D appointments. Add in his protectiveness over his brother... I was a puddle of swoon.
Vivian is fairly uptight but after meeting Dom we see her loosen up some (which was the point lol) Their explosive chemistry and connection is stronger than either of them expects.
I just love that he caught feelings first!
RL Kenderson is one of my go to authors for a good straight up romance but they took it to another level with this one. I'm excited to see where this new series goes next.
The start of a sexy new series. Vivian is a young attorney a few months out of a long-term relationship and she’s feeling more frustrated than usual. She realizes while she doesn’t miss her ex, she misses the reliable action between the sheets with him (or someone). While at work, she over hears two young women from her law firm in the elevator talking about D appointments. After mulling the idea she decides that what she needs and seeks out her coworker for a favor.
She ends up being sent to the house of an man who is way outside her normal and ends up having an entirely epic evening despite her early reservations over his appearance. When Dominic learns she was smiling at work the next day he shows up at her apartment for a repeat appointment.
These two have quite the unconventional relationship around hook-ups for several months. Despite not having an actual relationship, feelings are caught, misunderstanding occur and each of them end up missing the other.
This is an entertaining and sexy read, and I’m curious to see what the next books in the series will bring. My guess is they will focus on Vivian’s two friends from the Women in Law project.
I received a free ARC from the author and Hidden Gems; I am voluntarily leaving an unbiased review.
