He’s not just the man who ruined me. He’s the monster I can’t stop wanting.

Alex

They say we know our mates the moment we see them. I knew she was mine the night we danced. One moment—then I let her go. Too young. Too human. Too innocent for a Born Immortal vampire like me.

But now she’s back: older, shattered, and still the only thing I crave.

I let her walk away once. Never again.

Julia
Fifteen years ago, I thought Alex Staithes was just a man. Handsome, sexy, but way too old for me.

Now I’m grieving, divorced, and carrying pain no mother should know. The last thing I expected was him—watching, waiting, caring for me in my hour of need.

When I take a job at his company, I find out what he really is.

Vampire. Monster. Mine.

His touch burns. His bite ruins. And I’m not sure I want to be saved.

Bitten and Bound is book one in the Night Movers Vampire Series—perfect for fans of brooding immortals, fated mates, slow-burn spice, small-town tension, and second-chance love that bites.

Vampire meets the modern world.

I’m not sure what I was expecting from this but Alex our vampire has adjusted to the modern world easily. He owns a company which works at night and overall his lifestyle is simply to the mundane.

Alex meet Julia when she was young. He’d always had a soft spot for her but wants her to live her life. Unfortunately, he didn’t realise she might fall for someone else. After a traumatic event, Alex finds Julia back in need of his help. He wants her close. Could this be their chance?

This book sets-up a family business. Humans and vampires work together and have long-standing relationships. This is the first book in a series and it’s told from multiple points of view.

It doesn’t follow the traditional Vampire runs but offers something different.

I love Paranormal Romance. It was my introduction back into the Romance genre. My favorite was, and still is, Vampires. Then something happened with this sub-genre and it just got carried away and it started sounding the same so I moved on to other sub-genres. Fast forward several years and a friend told me about this series, ‘The Night Movers’ by Helen Bright. She told me that it was different and that I should try it. I missed my sexy vamps so I picked up this first book, ‘My Love Forever.’ It was instant love for me. It is different. Ms. Bright gives us all the sexiness of Vamps, but it is primarily a touching love story, and I loved that about this book. Don’t be mistaken. It is not an easy love story, with hearts and flowers and pink unicorns. I’m not a fluffy Romance reader. This one has some angst, and twists and turns, and I am a sucker for surprises, especially if the author can fool me, and Helen Bright did just that. She got me good.

This book revolves around a group of people, both vampires and humans, living and working together, and, when it happens, falling in love. Neither race is trying to exterminate the others. They live and work in harmony together. The humans help the vamps, and in return, they take care of the humans by keeping them from aging or getting sick. These vamps are not cold and heartless, pun intended. They are caring and generous and HOT! The vampire traits provide a very steamy eroticism when they ‘get together.’ I loved the dynamic of involving the entire group. The author pulls this off flawlessly with her excellent character development. The focus is not just on one couple, but two couples that work together and know each other.

This book is written is first person with dual POVs with a secondary character, or two, thrown in occasionally. I loved the writing. The primary characters are well developed, as are the thesecondary characters, to the point that leaves you wanting more from them. The plot is well developed and flows effortlessly. The dialogue was great, and never caused confusion. You have to take in account that the author is British, so you can expect a few cultural difference, both in language and dialogue, but it never affects the flow. The writing is such that the reader is put in the story, making you feel everything. There is love, steamy scenes, humor that had me laughing hysterically, and angst.

This is the first book of the series, and as such, it does go back in time a few times to give us some history. I found it interesting and it’s done in a way that does not affect the flow. It is also necessary as part of the plot development for not only this series in general, but for this book specifically. I REALLY wish I could explain more, but I never give out content or spoilers, so you will have to one-click now. I really recommend that you one-click this book now. It is part of a series of stand alones where the characters are related in a variety of ways. There is a HFN, and you will see these characters again. There is no cliffy. You can trust me on that because I hate them.

And surprise! This is a brand new author. ‘My Love Forever’ is her debut novel, but I would have never guessed it. She is very talented, as you will soon discover, as soon as you hit that one-click button. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. Did I mention that this is a brand new author? We all love finding new authors and reading new and different perspectives on topics, so, yeah, you should totally one-click.

A lovely novel, full of emotion, warmth and plenty of hot passionate scenes! I enjoyed all the details of their life in Barrowfield and also Alex's (and Freya's and Josh's) past. The characters were clearly drawn and I enjoyed the humour derived from their foibles. The men were possessive but not overly domineering and the women were strong. If you enjoy erotic vampire novels, you'll love this!

I wasn't to sure about this book in the beginning but it started to grow on me and I ended up reading it in one sitting. I enjoyed reading about Alex & Julia & I am looking forward to reading about the rest of the characters in The Night Movers Series. I am interested to see where Helen Bright is going to take her characters.

My Love Forever is Alex & Julia's story. Alex is a centuries old vampire, Julia is the human daughter of one of Alex's employees. Alex first saw Julia when she was 14 years old. He hadn't realised how much she had grown & changed until seeing her at the Christmas party with her father, where she was 18 years old & about to head off to university. Alex has one dance with Julia then leaves the party due to the feelings that dancing with her caused & knowing that she is too young to bring into his world.

Julia leaves for university & announces a year later that she is engaged. 14 years pass & Alex has been sneakily watching from time to time. Then something happens & Julia's world is turned upside down. Her father turns to the one person he knows can help her... Alex.

Now that their paths have crossed again will Julia finally learn the truth about Alex & his family? Will she accept it?

This is Helen's debut novel & I think that it's a really good start. I loved that it is set in the UK in places that I know of. My Love Forever has set the scene for this series well. It has enough background information that you don't become lost or confused & you could feel as though you know the area it's set in even if you don't.

The characters are easy to relate to, their emotions are so real & convincing. Alex & Julia are the main two but there's also Nik, Josh, Gina & Freya to name just a few. They all play key parts & add more to the story. Each chapter clearly states whose POV we are reading as it does change throughout, but it's never confusing.

The book has some delicate issues as a result of certain events & I believe that Helen handles these with the appropriate level of care & sensitivity, only mentioning them in as much detail as is necessary. Helen writing style works well too. She describes things clearly & in such a way that it is easy to picture where the characters are as well as what they are doing. The story has a smooth even pace that pulls you in & takes you along for the ride.

I've thoroughly enjoyed reading book 1 of this series & I can not wait to continue with book 2 to see where Helen goes next. I'm just lucky that I already have books 2 & 3 to continue with. Overall I think this is a promising start to both the series & this author's writing career. If you like paranormal romance & you haven't yet read My Love Forever I'd suggest grabbing a copy & meeting Alex & Julia for yourself. You never know you to might find yourself hooked on these vamps too! :)

, I love the Anne Rice and Brom Stoker style of classic vampire, so I was a little worried how I would fair with this story right from the beginning but actually I really enjoyed this, the author creates a mythology for her vampires backgrounds, while not exactly an origin tale for the species she begins intertwining a historical element I hope will be revisited and explored later at a further time within the series.

She quickly develops the personalities of the main characters and with the clever use of humour, she allows you to connect with them as individuals. Of course, there are characters you warm to more, and I have to say that I am looking forward to reading the rest of the series in the hope the character and plot development continues and we see each of the vampires receive their own lead role in a book. I love the setting, again I was nervous about a rural setting for this in terms of the credibility for a vampire living there long term but this is again dealt with plausibly within the plot.

The final thing to discuss is, of course, the adult content, and although I still have a few personal reservations about vampires having sex, the scenes themselves are incredibly well written and realistically written also, the only possible worry is certain scenes are so well written that it makes you wonder if the author is writing from personal experience which is fine with an author you are never likely to meet and slightly different with one you are seeing in a few weeks.

So I think you can tell I loved this book, despite all my reservations, the facts that counted against it before I started reading it, I thoroughly enjoyed it, I recommended it to my daughter and downloaded the rest via Kindle Unlimited. I am going to start leaving links for the books of fellow Indie Authors after the scores to make it easier for you if you want to check them out after. So I guess we need a score, I could hardly put this down so it gets the full 5 out of 5 stars and a hearty recommendation for anyone looking for a great paranormal romance to read.

I’ll admit it I love a good vampire series and I’ve read a few – The Black Dagger Brotherhood, The Sookie Stackhouse series, The Vampire Diaries, even the Twilight series), but I’ve also been disappointed by other series when authors jumped on the vampire bandwagon. Helen Bright has renewed by love of this genre.
My Love Forever, the first book in The Night Movers Vampire Series was published in 2015, but I didn’t start reading it until a few days ago even though I purchased it last year. My only regret is that I waited so long to read it.
As soon as I started reading My Love Forever I was transported to my happy place. No, it was not all flowers and candy, but it was populated by characters, both vampire and human, who I fell in love with or disliked intensely. How they interacted fascinated me. The story of the two main characters, Julie and Alex, captured my heart and I wanted them to have a HEA. Their journey, and it wasn’t a smooth ride, kept me awake when I should have been doing housework or sleeping.
When I finished this book, I immediately bought the next book in the series, Blood & Secrets.

This was an interesting start to a new series. I mean, you have turned vamps and born vamps. Then you have the humans. Seems like the Immortal men like the human women. And the women in the story are lifted up and personified as strong characters. That does appeal to me. And while Alex and Julia’s relationship seems at the forefront of this book, you get a good look at Gina and Nik as well. In fact, there are several points of view. They are separated out by chapter but it still occasionally threw me. And other than a few things that were pretty easy to predict, it was a sweet and very spicy read.

Absolutely loved this book. I don't usually read vampire novels but thought this one looked different - and it was! The main characters, Alex and Julia, were great, and there was a host of other secondary characters who really brought the story to life. I was rooting for Alex and Julia all the way through as they both coped with loss and heartbreak which actually made me cry as I was reading the story. The storyline was original and the book was written with sensitivity and humour, which I loved!

Lovely, sexy read. He's and ageless vampire and he's waited for her for years... I absolutely love this trope and I loved Julia and her vamp. The book as multiple POVs (there's another couple in the book) but they're very skillfully done (I loved Gina's spunkiness. She's a great foil to ladylike Julia). It also has long, fascinating glimpses of the vampires' past with a lot of historical detail. This series reminds of Anne Rice's Interview with the Vampire...but sexier. ;)

This book is an easy 4-star review. The couples are realistic…maybe a little too real in how they relate to one another. My favorite part was the cookie scene. You will understand why I call it the cookie scene when you read it. Why not 5-stars, for me, I would have liked more detail concerning the Yorkshire and the plot was very predictable. “My Love Forever,” is a no-risk purchase.

What a series! So well written. Great characters. Loved the story lines. And the series just gets better as it goes along. I can't wait for the next book to come out.

An interesting Vampire tale I am embarrassed to say I grabbed as a free read years ago and forgot about.
Though not a smooth ride to a HEA I really enjoyed all the characters and the road this went along.
Felt sorry for Alex missing his chance and thought he was honourable enough to let Julia get on with her life and marry someone else. Though if he had just said something or asked Julia for a date, things may have been different.
Sad that Julia had to go through what she did though.
I enjoyed this enough to grab the rest of the series through KU.

I was gifted a copy, direct from the author, in exchange for my review.

Alex fell in love with Julia 15 years ago, when she was 18 yrs old. He knew she would be his, he just had to bide his time. He never thought, or wanted, that Julia would go through such heartbreak to find herself in his arms. But Alex has a long history, and it catches up with him, putting Julia in danger.

I made some points as I was reading. This book has a lot, I mean a HUGE amount of dialogue, and sometimes monologue, that goes on for pages. It was far too much for me. It could also use editing a bit. Not for the spelling or use of words (although the use of "lady parts" drove me a little nuts!) just for the speech marks, at points there were multiple contributions to the conversation and I wasn't always certain who was talking.

THAT SAID!!!

I quite enjoyed it! I actualy liked the changing POV, even if it was in the first person. We got to hear from Julia and Alex, but also from Alex' brothers, Joshua and Nik, and Gina, Julia's friend. I liked that Julia and Gina had ordinary lives, everyday problems and unfortunately, every day heartbreak.

It was nice to read a book set in places I knew about, could find them on a map. I've even been to Whitby, on the side street that has all the jewellers!

Some difficult subjects dealt with, a still born, a loveless marriage, family feuds, all dealt with well and with compassion.

Who's next?? I've no idea, but Joshua needs a story. I saw him going off in one direction and then all of a sudden, a single act changes everything. And Freya, Alex' sister, she needs to find love after being alone for so long. And the Russians! Who doesn't love a Russian Vampire!

A good start for a first time author, Well done, Ms Bright, and thank you for my copy.

3.5 stars.

**UPDATE**

I was gifted a second copy, after this book had been edited. Its obvious, the editing, and I am increasing my star rating to 4, but the long winded monologue is still there. Granted its broken up by a comment of two, but its still there.

The editing has improved this, and the lady parts are lacking (thank you!) hence the upgrade from 3.5 to 4 stars.

**same worded review will appear on Goodreads, Amazon.com and Amazon.co.uk**

A slightly new and different take on vampire romance, but hindered with a lot or historic background information. Set in England and written by an English author, which usually is not a problem for me. However long portions of the book are very hard to read due to an archaic tone and sentence structure. Maybe that was on purpose but it considerably slowed things down for me. At times, Alex, this passionate vampire who has been waiting 15 years for his love, seems detached as he describes his history to Julia.

Interesting supporting characters and loved the sense of family they have created and work hard to foster. Many steamy scenes. I’ll read the next one because I like the characters so much. Now that Alex explaining his history to Julia covers the world building, I’m sure the rest of the series will be compelling.

Warning, deals with the serious issue of miscarriage.

Edited after reviewing latest version of the book: Great news! All the editing issues are fixed! The wonderful story now shines. Warning, each book in the series gets better & better! The amazing characters and their stories will hook you and have you anxiously awaiting the next book!

Free download. This was a sweet twist on vampire lore, with romance thrown in. Alex has been alone for a very long time. He runs his business Night Movers with his friends and family, some human others, vampires like him although these immortals are not like the usual we see in the books. Alex knew the moment he saw Julia at a Christmas party that he wanted everything with her but she was young so he let her grow into a strong woman, watching her over the years but tragedy strikes Julia splintering everything she's known. Will she let Alex help her heal and will he finally find the love he's always wanted with Julia.
This was a sweet read, nice story and plot, the characters were great and I really enjoyed the story written from different character perspectives. The writing was ok but sometimes didn't feel realistic. This has a lovely romantic story, but there are lots of sexy intimate moments. The angst is there so we get the heart wrenching moments too. Overall a nice read and we get a glimpse of the next in the series which does make you want to read on.

**Copy received from author in exchange for honest review**
EARLY REVIEW: There are two different kinds of vampires. The made and the born. Almost a hierarchal placed system, the born withhold the powers that are quite unimaginable. They are able to walk in the sun and have incredible strength as well as bond with females of the living. The made are unfortunate and cannot walk in the sun without burning from their souls inside and out.

Julia had a heartbreaking story. (Sorry, you'll have to 1-click the crap out of this book to know what happened) and only Alex is able to mend her heart to what it was.

Lots of different perspectives in this book but you just kind of have to fall in love with it. Crazy but lovable.

I can safely rate this book a 4 out of 5 stars and there is currently a giveaway happening on my Facebook blog page at http://www.facebook.com/amysreviewobs... where you can win books 1 and 2. The giveaway is happening until February 13th, 2016 at 12:00am MST.

Alex has wanted Julia since she was 18 and their first dance together. Life got in the way and she left to college, got married and started her mortal life. When everything came crashing down for her he was there to piece her back together again. Now he finally has his shot with her but someone from the past is trying to take it away.

Julia lost everything. The worst day of her life is constantly plaguing her but Alex has a way of helping ease her pain. But her life is in danger and she could lose it all again.

I thought the story was sweet. Your typical vampire read is dark with a touch of sweet but this was not like that. The vampires in this story, even though there were a few gruesome scenes were like normal men. They were kind, thoughtful and hardly showed their undead side. However, I felt like maybe the writer could have used a few other words similar to the word whilst. It was used too much that it was sort of annoying.

He's been in love with her for years and knows she's his bonded, yet he waits. She has know idea what he is or how he feels. Until one night when her world came crashing down. A horrible car accident takes her unborn baby and she looses her husband. Still, he's there to help her heal and overcome it all. She begins to fall in love with him and finds out just who he really is. Can they both push their past behind them for love?
I really enjoyed reading this book. It gives just enough back round to let the story flow and understand the characters. It's a pretty fast-paced book that keeps you turning pages. Looking forward to more in the series. Four fangs for this love story!

I got this book in exchange for an honest review. I really liked the beginning. Actually, I liked a lot of the book, but for me there was just something missing. Maybe it was too cliche or maybe it just wasn't enough to keep me addicted to the story. Anyway, unfortunately I can't rate this as high as I'd like to. I do have to say though that this was a refreshing look on vampires. I love vampire books and never really got over them when the craze faded away. I especially enjoyed this book because it wasn't YA. It was more in the adult category and it's hard to find good adult vampire books. I recommend this book to anyone who is looking for an adult vampire book.

A GREAT love story! Definitely recommend!!

I LOVE reading ANYTHING paranormal, especially about vampires. This storyline kept me captivated and the title for this book is definitely fitting. Alex a vampire/immortal has been in love with Julia ever since she was a young girl but wanted her to experience life, go to University and hope that one day she would be his love forever. I really enjoyed learning about Alex, Julia, Freya and Joshua's past stories especially and how everything came about in their lives. I don't want to give away any spoilers so I'll just end this by saying that, I look forward to reading the next book in this series!!
