A cute easy pre-reader book about a clam who wants to have adventures and the shark who surprises him by bringing him along! The illustrations were whimsical and the text was very simple with a strong rhyming pattern.

A first level easy reader with two main characters, one that moves swiftly underwater and one that just sits underwater. Can they be friends and play together? Fun easy reader. Ready to read Adam Lehrhaupt’s easy readers.

I love a good early reader! Let me just make a text to text connection by saying, this is Go Dog Go meets Barnacle is Bored. If kids can rhyme they can figure out the new words in this book.

Shark goes fast while Clam just sits. Right when Clam thinks that Shark is going to eat him, Clam is given a friendly mode of travel. Cute story and illustrations for this story told in short rhyming three- word phrases.
