Five books, over 2,000 pages of urban fantasy epic adventure, slow-burn romance, and magic and mayhem fill this dark academy box set.
Witches, wizards, and one judgmental, talking cat. Welcome to my new life.
I'm Clementine Cole. I thought I was a normal nineteen-year-old with anger issues, but I was wrong. I’m not angry, I'm just a witch. After my cat started talking to me one night, I made a few
First, magic is real and nightmares aren’t just in your dreams. Second, I'm the last witch in the world. Third, there's an academy for magic users just like me.
Trouble is, I don't quite fit in at the academy. Witches get a bad rap, and everyone thinks we're destined to turn evil. Okay, maybe I've been in a few fights and speak my mind, but I'm no villain.
"Good witches don't lie," my teachers tell me. If I don't want to get kicked out of the academy, I have to follow the rules. No fighting, no lying, and definitely no secrets.
But what if I'm not the one keeping the secrets?
Welcome to the Academy of Shadowed Magic.
All five books are included in one low-priced set!
Academy of Shadowed Magic, Year Good Witches Don't Lie Academy of Shadowed Magic, Year Good Witches Don't Cheat Academy of Shadowed Magic, Year Good Witches Don't Curse Academy of Shadowed Magic, Year Good Witches Don't Steal Academy of Shadowed Magic, Year Good Witches Don't Die
The Academy of Shadowed Magic series is a new adult urban fantasy featuring a snarky heroine who swears, a slow-burn romance, mild violence, and all the magic and mayhem you'd expect from the last witch in the world.
Love that I got to read this series all at one time. Follow this story set with supernaturals at an Academy Follow Clem as she learns her way and trys to make friends and keep secrets.

These stories are a lot of fun! Loved the description of the school, and I really appreciated the author’s take on air magic. It is commonly, and unfairly, seen as a lesser type of magic, since it tends to be more subtle than fire, water, and even earth magic, even though all of those other types of magic are deeply affected by air. As I got through each of the books, I really found myself absorbed by the story and I couldn’t get free until I finished it. It is written pretty well and I appreciated the characters and the strength of Clementine and Eva, most especially. While there are some minor mistakes, there wasn’t anything I thought couldn’t be overlooked.
5 ⭐️s= Perfect story, exciting, engrossing, well developed complex characters, solid plot with few to no holes, descriptive environments and place settings, great mystery elements, realistic dialogue, believable reactions and behaviors, loved this story so much I’d buy it.
4 ⭐️s= Great story, highly entertaining and enjoyable, exciting storyline, well developed characters and settings, a few discrepancies but nothing that can’t be overlooked. Believable actions and reactions, realistic dialogue, a book I would consider buying.
3 ⭐️s= Good but not great story, noticeable discrepancies, grammatical and or spelling errors, undeveloped characters or unbelievable behaviors but still readable. Nothing majorly wrong with the story, just not interesting enough for me to continue. Would not buy the book.
2 ⭐️s= Not offended by the story, but not interested enough to finish. Unbelievable characters, poor writing, many mistakes, big holes or discrepancies, many spelling or grammatical errors, characters not believable, unlikeable or TSTL.
1 ⭐️= Offensive, extremely poor writing, horrible characters, victimization, gaslighting, blatant abuse, unnecessary violence, child endangerment, or any other highly objectionable behaviors by Main characters. Would never buy this book, and do not recommend it to anyone.

It is not easy to fit in to a new school, but that gets even more complicated when our heroine discovers that not only is she a witch, but the last of her kind. Guess she has some catching up to do.
This is the complete five book series in one handy collection.
This is an urban fantasy series with an academy setting. The stories are well written, easy to read and rather addictive. I have read a lot of academy stories and after a while they tend to blend together. This series, however, grabbed my attention right away and did not let go. Perhaps it was our snarky heroine who is trying to be good and fit it, even though the rest of the folks make it tough. I really loved her character, in case that was not obvious. The setting was well done and the story was very engaging. Overall, this was a highly enjoyable series and I am definitely looking forward to more from this author.
Highly recommended.

The Academy of Shadowed Magic series is a thoroughly engaging fantasy journey from start to finish. Across the books, the series builds a richly imagined world full of mystery, magic, and intricate political intrigue, all centered around a cast of well-developed characters whose growth feels natural and compelling.
The magic system is clever and layered, with rules that make conflicts and challenges feel earned rather than convenient. Each installment balances action, suspense, and character development, keeping the story moving while deepening the reader’s connection to the world.
The series also shines in its ability to mix darker, high-stakes themes with moments of levity and emotional resonance, making it accessible yet layered. For readers who love immersive fantasy with strong character arcs, clever worldbuilding, and a story that steadily escalates toward a satisfying conclusion, Academy of Shadowed Magic is a must-read.
This is the first series I have read from this author. The characters are well written and show a lot of growth throughout the series . Each have different strengths they bring to their friendship group, and I particularly liked Liara and Clems progression. The headmistress is secretive and reluctant to help Clem with information on her past, so Clem is constantly on a magical mission to find the answers. I enjoyed Loki, the snarky familiar who is constantly focussed on food. Noir, the gorgeous black stallion who gallops like the wind and the will o wisps who seem benign but have a much more sinister purpose. It has been a long time since I liked a series about witches based in an academy.
Being attacked by kreechers never before seen by you in this town is a surprise no one needs for their eighteenth birthday. Being saved by a middle aged woman with unknown powers is remarkable. Now she finds out she is a witch, but has never used the power on purpose. Discovering you are a witch at 18 is a shock to your system, finding out Fae are real and magic can be used by many people with witch blood along with the Fae. Now she has to learn to live in a world where a imprisoned dangerous wreath is getting stronger and each year gets closer to escape. Good Read.
I liked having this whole collection together in one set so I could just continue through the whole adventure. I liked the world and the story over all. And I liked that feeling like I was learning the world and getting more comfortable along with Clem. She definitely starts out a mess and is slow to grow over the books but it was a good journey and nice to see book 5 Clem compared to book 1 Clem.
Sometimes the characters felt young for their age. But I think this is mostly due to the setting.

Read the entire series back to back. I would have gone crazy if I had to wait for each book to be released. It's such a great series. I did struggle at times with words I had never seen before. But it was a quick and easy solution to look it up and find the context it was used it. Helps improve my vocabulary and speech. I did wish for a better epilog , but maybe 🤔 another book could be added for just how their lives become in their 30s?? I was so invested in all the characters 😭.
Surprised that this hasn’t had more attention. It’s a great series, I was invested the entire time which is rare for me. I didn’t always like Clem, but I liked the storyline and the other characters well enough that it got me through those moments. I was worried that the book had such a delightful rhythm and crescendo that the climax would be disappointment, but it was not.
I really enjoyed this series but had to stop on occasion because of the horrible test Clem was constantly exposed to. I have been married to a wonderful lady for 55 years and she has endured many similar experiences and come through them with grace and determination. I can only say that I was there for her much like Loki was for Clem. This is a series that will challenge your approach to life and the women in it.
Clementine is suddenly thrust into a world of fae, magic and evil galore. She finds out she is a fire witch and feared by most magic users. As the years progress she becomes stronger and faces a destiny to save the world from rule by a ruler of the underwold.
This series is fantastic S.W. Clarke l just discovered this author. Excellent work, l luved the characters and action. Making friends, learning magic and falling in luv every thing you wish in a series. I hope there is more for Clementine and friends.
One of the best magical school stories I have read. It kept the interest in all five books leading to a satisfying conclusion. Normally with these long tales I skip read the less interesting bits. With these they were so compelling i read every word. I enjoyed this story. I recommend the books to anyone who likes something a bit different.
The main story line follows the main characters through 5 years of a magic academy to fight against darkness with light. Friendships are forged, magic growth realized, and ends with the battle. Who will win? I never saw it coming...maybe you will. Great read!!! 💯
Love the whole concept. The world the underworld and deeper - Hell. Maybe there will be another series like this but wow I have spent long nights enjoying this story or collection of stories Read and enjoy it like I did , the concept is simple but the whole,e is complex. Excellent
I loved this series! I was glad it was available as a full set! I breezed through it! I loved clem and her growth through the series! Highly recommend!!.

This was a mystery and action . Clementine is a young woman went through so much. This series was exciting and action packed. I recommend reading it you won't be disappointed.
I have to admit that I almost stopped reading after the first book because I really only liked the cat. I'm glad that I continued because there was so much development for the characters and some interesting plot twists. Come get hexed.
Ms Clarke has woven a tale that will capture you attention, and send your emotions on a wild ride! Intrigue will drive you to the last chapter. She leaves saying,"Wow, I didn't see that coming!"
Very good read. Characters were developed nicely. They slowly learned their talents. Good job on interacting with each other also and how they grew together. Plenty of action and suspense. Recommended
Okay loved this series it was en captivating, good main characters, her familiar was rather entertaining and just funny, I feel it was rather unique at times and I just thoroughly enjoyed it, wish there was a bit more from the epilogue at the very end.
The complete series. By S. W. Clarke. I so enjoyed reading this series. I hope there will be more of this series in the future. It's not finished yet. There is too much to still do.
…such books, solutions are convenient but the story itself is quite poignant—magic or no. Well written and full of interesting characters as well as ideas, this story is worth the read…
Well this was a brilliant read from start to finish. Absolutely loved all the main( very strong) characters, adored the strong sarcasm that was used plus the wit and humour. A big thumbs up to S.W. Clarke. Good flow throughout all . .
This is an amazing series. These are my first stories from S.W.Clarke and I’m so impressed. I was right in the books with Clem and her friends and my heart is just now settling. Excellent series.
Academy of Shadowed Magic by S. W. Clarke is an amazing series!! The characters are conflicted and grow to their fullest potential! The storyline surprises us with all of the twists and turns!!
I really enjoyed this complete series. I don’t usually read academy books but as Clem was a bit older I thought I’d try it out. I became hooked! I have devoured this story.
Amazing series that pulls you in and holds you through the ride
Really enjoyed the world building, all the details put into the magic, the characters, the plot twists and turns. The story is an amazing adventure that you won't regret reading.
