A nerd without direction, a tribe without a man, and a world in need of a hero...
Dragged to another world by a scheming trio of goddesses, Daniel has found a home in the Ast'a tribe. Named their king, and possessing the powers of a Sorcera, his place is an honored one, but there are those who still don't trust the blue-eyed demon and his strange ideas. One of those is a goddess with designs on seeing our young hero and his humans crushed.
With his knowledge of engineering, our hero can lift the tribes out of their primitive lifestyle, but not everyone is ready for the changes he brings. With the Hirsute an ever present threat, Daniel can't afford to fail in his mission to take the people down from their mountain home, and out into the greater world. All while reconciling with the odd cultural traditions of a people composed of mostly women.
Tribe contains harem elements, violence, magic, explicit action, sexy tribes women, and the first steps toward civilization building on a primitive world.
This was a good continuation of the series. There is a lot of sex in the book but that worked really well with the situation that was presented. In this tribal community there is a severe lack of men. Children are the most important thing to make the clan grow so women wanted to be breeded constantly makes sense. Food, water, shelter, safety and procreation. The 4 main things in this story so having 1/4 of the book being about sex makes a lot of sense. The magic system, the tribal politics are all very interesting. Overall a simple but decent story. Everything that happened was believable within the context of this being a fantasy world and none of this could actually happen.
4.5 stars, graded on the "harem" curve. Sexy bits weren't (too) overdone and the story is moving along well, so no major complaints. Again we have a 21st Century guy who has to realize that he's in a world very much unlike where he came from.
This MC has some legitimate concerns about stretching himself too thin emotionally, which is a reasonable hang-up under the circumstances. He does, however, need to accept that if his "main girls" want him to knock up the tribe's baby-factories, that's one he really should take for the team. It is literally less trouble than fighting it.
I like this story and wouldn't have given 3 stars except for the huge amount of inconsistencies in the story.
The author har.odly spent any time with the MC using his engineering knowledge to help make carts or armor or weapons The first book the goddesses promised he would learn to enchant and we didn't see Daniel attempt that.
The the first battle against the dog like men was disappointing. The MC got powers from 3 goddesses yet still gets beat by low level enemies. The first book Daniel took out 12 enemies alone yet in this book he is weaker. Where did his super strength go? The last book he punched a spear through a shield and held the body up in the air. That was before the Goddesses blessings yet in this book he appears to be normal except his magic. How does the MC go from tearing open enemies and breaking their bones bare handed to being able to barely kill one at a time? Bad storytelling is how.
A great sequel and looking for more. The sexy scenes are fun, but everything else is quite intriguing and I can’t help but want more from this author’s world, like there is much that can be done with it. I hope for more than a trilogy. I like the ladies and hope for more interpersonal relationship growth and character development for them all.
Im enjoying this story more and more if you like fighting and underdog from weak to strong and magic in its raw form its like dances with wolves fighting all manner of lord of the rings, i can not wait till he invents gun powder and modern things for the tribe and finds his way with all his tribes women and gives all the goddesses a good sorting as well.
Some of the best world building,I have ever read!!! Characters you will cheer for, wish a terrible death on and others that will confound you!!! Lot and lots of adult fantasy activities throughout the story but by no means is this all this series gas to offer!!!!
Alternate universe, magic, harem adult situations, world building, politics MC Daniel continues with adventures with the Ast'a tribe. A lot to unpack here, with a lot of hinted background, and a fractured pantheon. Still needs a decent editor. Will probably buy book 3, though yet again it ends on a cliffhanger.
To me this book was fascinating for the most part, but very complex in others. The characters are fantastic, even the monsters. However a lot of the book was quite confusing. I would like for a lot of it to be better fleshed out for those of us that don't read much science fiction. Now I'm hooked, so on to the next episode. 😀
The world building and the characters in this series are just amazing. I knew going into it that there were only two books published but I really couldn't put it down. I think the concept is really novel and I wish there was more. I hope the author at least starts writing again even if it's another series.
Really great read with an awesome MC and an incredible cast of females that aren’t idiots. They keep him grounded and help him to be better. Really great book and can’t wait for book 3
This is a good book. You shouldy read it. I like the story. The characters are fun. The book is a good read. i enjoyed it alot.. Download or buy it today. why not?
This was an adequate read. Concerning world building the series continues to shine but the experience was marked with spelling errors and the odd poorly written sentence that didn’t make sense.
Still if you read the first novel you will be happy with this sequel.
Not as good as the first one. The story was slow and hard to follow at times. WAY TOO MUCH SEX! It's a good idea of a storyline but you can cut down on the descriptive part in the sex acts in the future. I will still get the future stories to see how this works out.
Keep them coming as quickly as possible to good for delays. No matter what others say trying to stifle your creativity don’t give up. Thoroughly enjoying your creativity.
