The book goes into some examples of ghost sightings and some things that don't actually involve ghosts. There's a ghost in England, emails from the other side, a hotel with the ghost of Marilyn Monroe, the Paris Catacombs, an occult museum, EVPs, Amityville, shapeshifting and other things.
One story is about an evil doll which caused me to wonder why the people who had it didn't just burn the thing to ashes. They had material about haunted artwork which is something I hadn't run across before. Electronic Voice Phenomena are interesting but almost always seem to be very open to interpretation on just what is actually being said, if anything.
This is a great selection of bite sized stories that make you wonder about what's out there and out of site and how many of the stories come about through tragedy or cruelty of time gone by. My favourites would have to be the catacombs which both fascinates and scares me if I were to go down, then there is the tormented Sarah Winchester then lets not forget the poor doggies who go near the Overtoun Bridge.
