Stella O'Neil is on Cloud 9 when her favorite author, Alicia Beewater, wants to buy a house with Stella as her agent. Once the sale goes through, Alicia is anxious to get moved in. Unfortunately, Stella gets a late night phone call informing her that Alicia was found dead in the house while waiting for her furniture to be delivered. It seems that one of Alicia's biggest fans was also one of her biggest critical. To complicate matters more, the previous owner of the house was very unpopular in the neighborhood and many of her neighbors were happy to see her leave.
When Stella gets another listing in the same neighborhood, she wonders if she might be able to get more information into Alicia's death.
Who killed Alicia? Why was she killed? Was her death deliberate or a mistake? Can Stella unmask the culprit?
CeeCee James has another great mystery with her latest story. She uses everyday situations with plenty of twists, turns, and red herrings to keep the reader engaged clear to the end. I hope to see many more stories in this wonderful series.
I have read every book in this series and I am very disappointed in this one. In the beginning of the book it is very confusing about flowers. Stella sends some, but there isn't any reference to other flowers until later in the story, not where they came from or the type of flowers that they were. The ones that Stella sent were referenced as "evil" by Sally. The part about Sally and her friends in the garden does not make sense. Also, why wasn't Oscar's lady friend at the "wedding". And why didn't Oscar call Peanut "Bear" even once? I think the author was rushing to get this book finished without the quality her other books have in this series.
It's always a great day when there's another Flamingo Realty adventure!
And this one is a page-turner!
Stella sells a house to her favourite author and has visions of becoming the writer's number-one fan and bestie. Reality has other plans, though, when said author's body is found lifeless in her new home! But never fear, Stella is on the case and soon researching all aspects of it. That she gets herself and Georgie into hot water is no surprise. That she does finally find the villain is also no surprise.
With characters that have become good friends, and intriguing tales of mayhem, Moving Day Malice is yet another great addition to this series. I'm already looking forward to the next instalment.
[I was fortunate to receive an Advanced Reader Copy of the book from the author, with no obligation to review. The opinions expressed herein are given freely and are entirely my own.]
CeeCee James Never Fails to give a Perfect Mystery
Book twelve and Stella's still finding bodies and solving mysteries. As usual the characters are fantastic and some definitely have some serious problems. But that's what makes the story so intense. I think that Stella's personal life may be headed somewhere, finally. Carlson is very important to her so I think I can see a future and maybe even that date he keeps mentioning😉.
Love how the two series got interwined and Stella and Georgie are roommates! The plot was good. Didn't care for the stalker guy and it was never explained how he knew Stella was researching him and her location. Oscar always ornery lol Congratulations on the wedding!
Enjoy this series; however, this one wasn't as good. The story felt rushed and once again poorly edited. The storyline was very good but there were parts that didn't mesh and felt like it ended abruptly.
Despite all that, I will still continue to read the series
Another great addition to the Flamingo Realty Mystery series starring Stella and her family and friends. An intriguing mystery with a twist I didn’t see coming. Loved the glimpses of the depending relationship between Stella and Carlson and loved the brief appearances of Georgie Tanner from the Baker Street Mystery series. A great read!
This book was very filled with Stella trying to figure out who killed her favorite author and selling houses. Her mom and dad were in Poland and renewing their vows. The client that she now had was in the middle of selling her house. You need to read this book to find out killed the author and was it really the person he meant to kill.
I enjoyed the characters in this book. They’re always so believable and fun. The book was a quick read but fun to figure out whodunit and why. I loved the ending -no spoilers though.
Moving Day Malice is the 12th book in the Flamingos Realty series by CeeCee James with lots mystery, mistaken identity, selling, and a wedding. What a great book.
