The Mistake
The Mistake is an opposites-attract, accidental pregnancy romance about a woman obsessed with success and burdened by impossible standards, and the man that makes her realize that living life to the fullest is the greatest accomplishment of all.

I place the stick on my marble bathroom counter and step back, looking at it with contempt.

That’s all it took to irrevocably change my life in an instant. My life has been a fast track of goals and markers to get me where I am today. I graduated early before turning 17, fast-tracked my degree in engineering by 20, completed law school and the bar before I turned 23, and by 25, I was certified in the highest paying law specialty in the nation – patent law. Now, at 28, I am well respected and highly sought out in my field.
This can’t be happening.
I'm going to be a mother.
Should I even tell him?
I barely even like the guy. He was a fun escape, a distraction from my mundane life. Sex on a stick and pretty to look at, the opposite of every guy I’ve ever entertained as a possible suitable life partner. A mistake.
A huge mistake.
No, I'm not ready to pull the pin on my life just yet.
I make my own way. Always have, always will - for both of us now.

Never have I felt so consumed by the thought of a woman. Never would I have thought it would be someone like her to catch my eye. So proper, uptight, closed-off, but so hot. And for one night she was mine.

Oakwood Park Girls - Elyse meets Theo
This story centers around Elyse, whose parents are constantly trying to set her up. She a go-getter. She’s always strived to be the best and has always sacrificed herself for everyone else including her job. Theo is the man candy, bad boy, playboy that people think less of because that’s the front he puts up. He’s always surrounded with flings but nothing tying him down. Elyse is so sick of being setup she decides to have a steamy one night stand with Theo. She didn’t know what it would change her life. She finds she’s pregnant. Both question the others motives mostly in silence not knowing if it’s love or duty the other feels. You will be nicely surprised with Theo. There is more than meets the eye. I like Theo’s assistant. He has a lively personality. Another steamy romance. Can’t wait for book 4 coming later this month.

struggling to add an image (if someone could help thatd be great) but if somehow u can see it ^^ that is a representation of Theo - absolutely too green to be green - greener than an alien - because my dream rn is to have a theo and yes I KNOW he doesn't exist but
if i had someone who was as green of a flag as theo, then id be happy for life (and the fact hes SMART?!?!!? extra bonus)

Oh mistakes will be made! But as I always like to remind myself, there is no such thing as a bad mistake. Elyse and Theo's journey is rough and wild and full of passion and laughter, just as life should be. I really wanted this book to show that we all have reasons that we are who we are. We are formed by circumstances out of our control and no matter how we deal with those circumstances, we are all just trying to find happiness in the end. Some people decide that they will live an existence in absolute control, carving their own path with strength and a boss babe attitude. Some people accept that they have no control and just try to live life to the fullest while they are on this earth. And sometimes, the universe decides that your opinions don't matter and it throws you a curveball that turns everything you thought you knew or wanted, upside down. Regardless, I believe true love can shoulder anything the universe throws at us. It may make us question ourselves, it may complicate things even further at first, but in the end, true love really does conquer all.
