“I had a dream,” said Edyth, staring at the dust motes floating in the sun-drenched room. “There was a great fire. The ash floated in the air and blanketed the ground like snow.”

There are some books you regret not reading sooner. The Fate of Our Sorrows has been tapping its toes, checking its watch, and glaring at me from my KU top 20 list for ages. "Finally!" It exclaimed, when I opened its digital pages. Finally indeed. A spectacular opening. I'm all in.
What a fantastic prequel to the series. As a fan of medieval fiction, I purchased this and was impressed by the story surrounding young Edyth. Without spoiling it, I'll just say it is definitely worth buying. It absolutely made me want to continue the series!
I loved that I was able to truly meet the characters and the world's design. Truly fell in love with the characters and anticipate further additions to the storyline.
