The beating of the Dokkaebi was so satisfying

- joonghyuk left, they had a rest around a campfire.
- got drunk, dionysus came and pulled some shit, dokja almost kissed sangah.
- dionysus is persephone's son.
- dokja went to the underwold, met namwoon the dude he killed in the train from the first scenario.
- got dropped in tartarus instead of near the god's house.
- hell is building a giant gundam for the gigantomania.
- namwoon repented in hell lmao, he's nice now.
- the hell staff found dokja cuz he's an intruder, they brought him to persephone.
- persephone makes a deal w dokja, he has to 'catch a snake' in the next scenario in exchange for 41st round yoosung's soul.
- people's souls are basically stories, no such thing as souls. also constellations eat these stories.
- dokja says that persephone should like pay attention to him or smthn i kinda forgot, bc his soul would be the best she's ever tasted.
- he left the underwold, next scenario begins.
- kings made an alliance to decide who to send to the next scenario. the scenario is in a different world.
- joonghyuk came and decided the people who'd go but left dokja out lol. bro salty cuz he saw sangah and dokja getting close at the campfire.
- dokja had a talk w his mother, did not go well lol, he borrowed one of her ppl, a grandma who is stronk.
- they got prepared in front of the portal, turns out 2 ppl cant come bc tgeres already 2 extra ppl in the scenario already (sooyoung and pildu).
- heewon and sangah stay back for now. dokja goes in w yoosung.
- in the other world (peace land), they discovered they are the disasters for this world. if they kill the small ppl they get coins.
if u dont kill them or hurt other disasters u get a penalty, u turn small and lose some stats.
- they came across japanese incarnations, they were killing the small ppl, yoosung killed one of them and turned small.
- dokja pretended to not know and saved the other one, they talked and he was led to a trap where some of the japanese ppl were hiding.
- gilyoung, the grandma, hyunsung, jihye alrd turned small and were hostages.
- dokja saved them but was starting to turn small.
- in the novel a japanese incarnation who was like a yakuza or smthn had like a colonialism skill bruv, all korean incarnations are affected by it.
- grandma killed a japanese incarnation who had the skill. turns out she wasnt small yet, she just used like a skill or smthn.
- after she killed the dude she turned small. also they found asuka ren, a japanese incarnation who wrote the world of peace land. she was alrd small, she was in a cage held by the yakuza dude.
- they saved her, dokja turned small, they escaoed the forest. gilyoung and the rest headed to victoria castle, dokja ran into sooyoung and pildu.
- they were treated like gods there lol.
- at victoria castle they decided everyone but dokja, asuka ren, and sooyoung had to guard the castle.
- dokja n the two girls go find kyrgios. a returnee who came from peace land, one of the strongest returnee ever.
- dokja trains w kyrgios only to trick the dude, basically just stealing his skill w bookmark.
- after like a couple of weeks they run away and go back to victoria castle, the japanese ppl are starting to attack. kyrgios mad cuz they ran away.
- the 'snake' (the king of japan cuz they still have the absolute throne) is attacking, joonghyuk arrives w a cool sword that has ties w the snake's constellation.
- dokja attacks the snake w his new bookmark skill from kyrgios, snake almost dead summons otherworld god.
- kyrgios shuts that down, dokja kills the snake.
- at the afterparty dokja makes a new sword from joonghyuk's cool sword. he and joonghyuk each get one. (bro has the grass cutting sword).
- dokja tries joonghyuk's cooking, joonghyul smirked lmao.
- dokja questioned asuka ren about how her work became a scenario, turns out someone sent her an email or smthn, was probably the same person as the one who gave dokja the txt file.
- something happened, asuka ren lost all memories regarding her being the author of peace land. turns out it's bc her work has reched its end and is now out of the author's hand.
- dokja went back to the underwold, got back yoosung's soul, put her soul in a dokkaebi egg. also he told smthn to namwoon.
- when he came back, someone from the 2nd wave from korea came through a portal, shit is happening back in seoul.
- they all went back, he got a new skill to turn into a small person so he can use kyrgios' skill. kyrgios is grateful it seems lol.
- back in seoul he appeared w joonghyuk, there's now a religious cult.
- new ppl from outside of seoul is starting to be put into the scenarios.
- cult leader is called nirvana, bro is a reincarnator, someone who keeps reincarnating as something new but keeps their memories. they knew joonghyuk and is hella obsessed.
- dokja fights nirvana, nirvana escapes. joonghyuk having suicidal thoughts cuz things are progressing not according to plan lol. nirvana was supposed to appear much later in the scenarios.
- joonghyuk got hit w nirvana's skill that relives trauma.
- dokja helps hyunsung save heewon, heewon says sangah is in danger. hyunsung got an upgrade.
- dokja reunites w everyone except heewon and hyunsung.
- new scenario, either half of seoul dies or the strongest incarnation in seoul dies. bro aint letting joonghyuk get that title.

Do you appreciate tear jerkers?
Well, then, fine fellow this one's for you.
what a banger of a volume, beautiful, that's what it was, absolutely stunning, I love Shin Yoosung, Han Sooyoung, and Lee Gilyoung. two of which are kids, Shin young the younger one visible on the cover.
This kids have gotten most adult beaten on the amount of balls they're logging around and that isn't just comparing them to other kids from other series but even in world, they scare the shit out of others and Dokja just cares them around like some obsessive single father, they're basically his hand bags

The world has been at war since before Sak was born, however, thanks to being a core user Sak has lived a relatively safe and even spoiled life at the Academy, a school designed to train core users to eventually assist in the war effort. While Sak's core ability is rather useless it has given him a heightened sense of smell, thanks to this Sak is able to detect a new virus wreaking havoc on the world while still in it's still in the incubation period. After smelling the virus in one of his classmates Sak is finally told the truth by his mentor; core users have a "caller" a person from whom the core user draws energy from to power their abilities and whole core users may be immune to the virus callers are not. Sak sets forth immediately to find his caller before the virus claims them both.
This was much better than I expected it to be! We've got a rampaging virus that creates zombies, weird abilities that don't seem to have any rhyme or reason for existing, what looks like a government cover-up, and a romance!
I really loved both characters in this. While this is an enemies-to-lovers thing it's an interesting take on it, Sak and Lima are complete strangers and while Lima completely distrusts Sak as soon as they meet it's completely understandable. Thanks to whatever this core thing is for Sak it's essentially love at first sight for Lima its random stranger starts stalking me in a world where I was a child soldier. Lima's distrust is 100% reasonable. Sak is also incredibly immature for his age and while part of this is due to being sheltered he just kinda seems to live in his own world. Even without the very weird way they end up meeting, I can totally see Lima disliking Sak almost immediately regardless.
What I really loved about this though is the Academy or the government clearly knows more about the Core Users and the Callers than they are letting on so we've got a good old-fashioned conspiracy. That alone makes it worth the read in my book.
The art is absolutely gorgeous as well. I loved the way that colors are used in this as well, only certain scenes are fully colored with the vast majority of the panels having just color added to certain parts of the characters. This emphasizes what is important in that scene.
I am definitely going to be continuing this series!
