Emotions run high when a Dublin language school becomes the focus of a murder inquiry
A young woman’s lifeless body is found in an old shed on the banks of Dublin’s Royal Canal.
When detectives find out that the victim is Spanish, attention falls on the language schools in the area.
With her superior DI Aidan Burke under investigation for a previous case, and in a foul mood, DS Fiona Moore is left to do the leg work.
She butts heads with the evasive and detached school principal, Edith Walker, and struggles to get the victim’s fellow students to talk.
Has some depraved individual got an eye for pretty young women from overseas or is something else afoot? More importantly, can Moore catch the killer before they strike again?
PASSION FOR MURDER is the sixth standalone mystery in a series of titles set in Dublin by bestselling author of The Galway Homicides, David Pearson.
A delicious mystery with all the best ingredients! I’ve been looking forward to the next instalment in the Dublin Homicides, and it was fantastic! Couldn’t put it down. A must read for mystery fans!
David never disappoints. He grabs you right from the beginning with his engaging characters and storyline, making for an enjoyable read. Keep them coming.
Another great story in the Dublin Homicides series with all the usual Cards characters. A well crafted story which moved at a fast pace and a very good read. Looking forward to reading more.
I have read all of Pearson’s books and have enjoyed them immensely. Pearson conjured up a lively cast of characters in his books that pull you into the story with them. The settings are well researched. 👍
Yet another really enjoyable book in the series. A mix of murder and a dodgy language school, what more could you want. I love that although the books are all stand alone I feel as if I have got to know the main characters. So I was concerned for Burke at the beginning.
This novel was well put together and a flowing thrilling procedural. The characters worked well to a great success in their investigation. The whole series I would recommend.😎
A complex and fast moving plot with many facets to the investigation of missing and murdered students. Suspects aplenty and sharp Gardai as evidence gathers. I like complicated characters and plots and this book has both.
The 6° of separation definitely applied in this storyline. As multiple situations unfolded linking people together. Very interesting! I really enjoyed this book!
I thought this was one of the better books in this series - good mystery and character development. This is currently the last one in the series - would definitely read more if it continues.
