She’s determined to prove her parents wrong. But he’s the one thing she didn’t expect.
When Brooke Lockhart made up her mind to start an animal sanctuary in the small town of True Love, she knew she had a lot to prove. Her parents had incredibly high standards—and a “charity project” was not part of their plan for her. Especially not when it’s over a thousand miles away from home and her last relationship had just ended poorly.
Kyle Pressler had a rough go at life. A decade ago, his father passed, and then two years later, he lost his wife as well. After taking over the family business, he settled into a humdrum life—a far cry from his dream of being a husband and a veterinarian. But once he met Brooke and saw her sanctuary come to fruition, he knew he had to be a part of it.
At first, it was for the animals. Now? Now, it’s for her. And when sparks fly, Brooke wants Kyle to be a part of it too.
However, when Brooke’s parents arrive in True Love unannounced, all plans go out the window. Brooke puts her head down, throws her walls up, and focuses on her main priority: animal rescue and showing her parents she can do this. Kyle wants nothing more than to help, but as he falls for her more and more, it feels like every move he makes is the wrong one.
Will Brooke and Kyle end before they can even start? Or can they overcome the obstacles and fall over the moon in love?
Eliza Boyd is a clean and Christian contemporary romance and women's fiction author. Born and raised in Northern Illinois, she now lives in sunny Arizona.
When she's not reading, writing, spending time with her husband, or serving at church, she can be found with her nose in her Bible, walking around her neighborhood (for exercise, not for stalking), taking photos of her pets, or cheering on her favorite BattleBot.
Feel free to contact her on any of her social media sites. She spends too much time on her computer, so she'll probably get back to you right away.
Definitely a great way to end this series! After watching Brooke start and care for the True Love Animal Sanctuary, which is the catalyst to bring together several couples throughout the series, it was so nice to finally see her story be told. I guess since she started the sanctuary after which the series is named, it seems fitting to end with a bang with Brooke’s story. While you don’t necessarily need to read the other two books to understand Over the Moon in Love, you can definitely get some more background on all the key players if you start with book number 1. Bonus, they’re currently on Kindle Unlimited if you use KU.
Kyle and Brooke really did have some ups and downs, which is certainly typical and believable for two people trying to make a relationship work. But I did really feel for them as Brooke struggled with her feelings of insecurity. She had a lot to learn and overcome to either face her parents head on, confronting their lack of belief in her, or to just learn to do what she knows is right for her, even if they don’t necessarily agree. And Kyle really wants to be with Brooke but knows how important her family is to her, so when it feels like they don’t approve, how can it possibly work?
Over the Moon in Love was a sweet clean read set in a small town with plenty of fun animal hijinks and some of the typical romance novel tricks we’ve come to love and adore (and okay, slightly get frustrated with. Like come on. Communication people! Am I right??). I’ve read several series by Eliza Boyd now and have enjoyed them so if you’re looking for your next read, I encourage giving this one a try.

While this is a part of a series, you don't have to read the prior ones to fully understand and enjoy this one.
This book is written in a dual POV format. Getting that glimpse into the character's thoughts really helped me to better understand and connect to them both. This was especially true with Brooke. There were several times when I would not have been able to understand her actions if I hadn't read her inner thoughts and struggles.
Brooke has left Illinois to move to Arizona to start an animal sanctuary. When Kyle, a local who owns the ice cream shop in town and helps the sanctuary, asks her for a date, Brooke is getting ready to say yes when her parents show up. All of the doubts and insecurity that Brooke has with her parents, come to the forefront. Brooke is conflicted on so many fronts that she asks Kyle for a temporary delay until her parents leave. Kyle not wanting to add to her burden agrees even though he gets hurt along the way several times.
Can Brooke and her parents come to an agreement that the sanctuary is her calling? Can Kyle set aside his disappointment to support Brooke? What misunderstandings will abound with the miscommunication that is afoot? Will the town's magic work it's magic on Brooke and Kyle?
This is a sweet, clean romance that anyone could enjoy.
Brooks relationship did not work out so she leaves IL to start an animal sanctuary in the town of True Love. Once there she meets a group of people who become her wonderful squad of friends. They all choose to take time to help her out with the sanctuary when they have time. The help is essential for the sake of the animals and although Brook does most of the work her friends are vital to its success. One of the friends is the owner of the town ice cream store and loves spending his time there with the animals. It comes out in the story that he is actually a veterinarian but due to some circumstances he came home to run the family business. Now we are introduced to Brooks parents and this is where it really starts getting good with all the different personalities and history throwing emotions and situations right and left. I really enjoyed the book. It is an easy read and would be great to read on the beach or curled up in a big comfortable chair.

Brooke and Kyle are finally willing to admit their feelings for each other and date when her parents show up. Brooke spends so much time worrying about what they think of her animal sanctuary and that they'll disapprove of Kyle that it puts a strain on their budding romantic relationship. If she had only spoke with them instead of continuing to assume what they were feeling she could have dealt with things instead of letting them fester. But then that adds to the drama in the book. I loved hearing about all her animals. That is definitely a full-time year-round commitment, and it helps that Kyle is a former veterinarian. I wonder if he'll go back to in the future since it is not an easy nor inexpensive degree to obtain and he loves working with animals. This was a nice conclusion to a sweet series.
Even though Brooke is on her own, she still thinks her parents are critical of her animal sanctuary rescue project. When they suddenly show up on her doorstep, she feels she has to prove herself once again. She & Kyle like each other but she feels she can't develop a relationship with him with her parents around, ready to criticize her on this also. So, can she finally break free & feel accepted? This is a good example of leaving your parents as an adult & cleaving to a relationship that is God-honoring.
Brooke and Kyle finally take a chance on romance but with her parents unexpected visit they are forced to put a hold on things. Lots of miscommunication and interference cause some unexpected results but luckily we still get a happy ever after. I enjoyed the characters and the animals and the friendliness of the residents of True Love. I liked the whole series and recommend it to anyone looking for a sweet, small town romance.
Over the Moon in Love is a clean, heartwarming, small town romance. I love Brooke , her sanctuary, the animals and the small town support she receives - especially from Kyle. This series has been a delight and it is great to finally get Brooke's story. This well written book captured my interest and kept me engaged as I raced to the finish. When I got to the end, I wanted to start at the beginning again!
This is my voluntary review of a copy I received from Booksprout.co. The story was good.
Brooke worked her butt off, was super responsible, but she was immature when dealing with her parents. Kyle is a lot more complicated and accomplished than she knew.
They are not dating... but their feelings for each other are growing.
This is a sweet clean small-town romance that was a joy to read. This book is full of wonderful characters, small-town charm and an animal rescue. It will keep you turning the pages and I hated to see it end. Loved it!! I received a complimentary copy and was not required to write a review. All opinions expressed are my own.

This book is so cute and sweet. The romance is a slow burn with a HEA for several characters. It was a sweet book that makes even the most cynical of us remember that love happens when you least expect it!!.

this was a great series and a great book. you can definitely read it as a stand alone. there is so much misunderstanding in this storyline but I loved how the triple wedding came together. It makes you want to be a part of the town and community.
