For Spring Graviston, Earth was more heartache than happiness, but how could Mars be any better?
She has no choice. With no family on Earth and her few friends scattered with the wind, she has one viable option forward, and that ticket leads to Mars.
But why does the colony at Way PointStation want her? Is it her destiny to help Earth take root on Mars, or is something pulling her farther?
To find out, she must take her first bold step on the rocky, red planet.
I tried my first book in Grade 2. It was too much pencil-pushing, but then came word processors. Hurray! Even with good old pencils, I've been a lifelong storyteller and writer.
It's a learning process, especially when writing was not always at the top of the career list. Thankfully, most of my jobs benefited from writing, too. There must be a million things to master about writing, and I'm still polishing a handful of them. Wouldn't have it any other way. The challenge to reach the top of that mountain is a rewarding endeavor.
Find me in my old favorites, historical fiction, and science fiction. Once I clear my to-write list, I will tack on a new pursuit--stories of suspense. No blood thirsty thrillers though, just edge of your seat worry that the hero might not make it over the next hurdle.

As a lover of science fiction I enjoyed Spring Unbound. We follow Sping Graviston as she emigrates from Earth to become a member of the Mars Colony Way Point Station. Her adventures of finding her place in her new world are full of mystery and excitement. I ended up reading in the wee hours of the night.
Spring is a almost forty new psychiatrist and geologist first assignment Mars
Spring is a late blooming psychiatrist and geologist. She went back to graduate school after her marriage failed. But she had gleaned a lot of experience in isolated systems during that marriage and that would come in very handy during her internship on Mars. She at times feels very much over her head but manages to hide it and carry on. Her past gives her the insight to handle the hardships thrown at her right away and she make friends easier here than she ever did on Earth. Spring loves Mars and plans to stay in spit of the hardships put in her way.
Beautifully written. This story has all the suspense and surprises one could wish for, as well as wonderful characters and an excellent plot. I look forward to the next one!
The worldbuilding is believable, and the characters are very interesting. There is a sad body count but no graphic violence. I'm looking forward to Spring and Ray's further adventures.
