i thought i couldn’t possibly love another book of this series as much as i loved the first book and then i read the second and yeeeeeah. this the one.
when i think about luca all i can say is “my man. my man. my man!”
let me tell you, if i go out on a date and it ends with a shooting, i’m never answering your calls ever again but luca ?! yeahhhh, i see why galina was ready for action about that one. he’s so smooth and protective you have no choice but to go to war over him. not to mention, he would go to war for galina without so much as a second thought.
galina story tugged at my heartstrings. her storyline was well written and beautifully fleshed out. i teared up a couple times when she talked about her childhood and her feelings about her mother’s death. i loved that she based her life around trying to save the lives that are often looked over.
i wanna say this book was my favorite but i know i’m going to keep reading the series and fall in love with every story so i’m not even going to play myself. i’ll just say i love all of them equally.

I thought I liked Enzo but that Luca!! I LOVED the way he loved her, the way they loved each other!! I am enjoying this series!!

Book one definitely pulled me in, but this is the one that has me fully locked into the series.
The chemistry between Luca and Galina was undeniable and what started as pure lust slowly, beautifully turned into love. I felt every bit of it.
Can’t wait to see where the story goes next!

3.5 stars for me, this was too much mafia and not enough romance, and I wanted more showing rather than telling in terms of relationship development.

Luca is definitely a man!!
First off there are too many G names in this series 😩. But Galina and Luca were the perfect match! Both can be hot-headed and both were super caring for others. Honestly how they met by chance was super cute because it makes them having so much in common add to them being fated mates. Galina being secretly raised by her aunt and uncle and wanting to know more about her birth father intrigued me because I guessed this completely wrong and what a surprise that was! I thought there would be more connection between Galina’s struggles and Luca’s struggle but I also appreciated the dual plot of solving who was after Luca while discovering who Galina’s birth father was. I loved the energy between Luca and Galina and KNEW a baby was inevitable with how they were going at it. Will not confirm if they did end up conceiving but whew the way Luca constantly had her wide open I wouldn’t have been shocked lol! The back storylines have me intrigued because Gianna (Enzo’s sister) has an interesting ring tattoo in Irish writing.🤔 Jaz and Dante? Erica and Benji? Loved the updates from Enzo and Lucia! And I also want more on the hacker cousin Gaia! This book was unrealistic at times but the type of unreal that leaves you wanting more lol! I definitely recommend this book and am ready for what’s next in this series!

I love mafia romances but what I don't like in mafia romances (this happened in the previous book as well) is when characters are given a savior complex. I didn't like that at all... Like we love morally grey characters but why are they explaining that they're not good people but they give back to the community 😒, like bro just do what you want cause you want to don't be outchea justifying everything because we don really wanna hear that. I don't need pages of you justifying your criminal ways.
Otherwise if you want a soft mafia romance with spice this one is for you. The girlies are not disappointing at aaaaall honey. They are giving.

I can’t really say I enjoyed this one, it just fell flat for me. It wasn’t terrible just blah kinna. I didn’t feel like these were characters that I wanted to read about and it didn’t seem in line with book one. There felt like less mafia stuff and more randomness. I was hoping one of the girls from her team would come before this one if anything . Idk I don’t feel moved to finish the series though so idk if I will.

Asia has done it again!! How is this possible! How! I need answers! I thought I loved Enzo from the first book in this series, but Luca! Luca came through and let me know who my man was in this universe. He has my heart and other things too!
This story starts off with Galina Whitlock, the niece to the Russian mafia leader that no one in their circle knows their connection, following her dreams and working at a hospital in the labor and deliver department as an OBGYN. She's worked so hard to right a wrong she done to her mother years ago and as she's getting closer to her end goal, things about her past doesn't seem to make sense any more and it's getting harder to keep her family history and lifestyle away from her career. When she is asked to fill in for her boss at a Gala, she comes face to face with a man she needs to stay far away from, Luca Moretti, the next Don in line to run the Moretti mafia empire. Will she be able to stay away from him or will her family secrets push her into Luca's arms?
Listen I don't know what Asia put into this book, but it's crack!! I had the opportunity to beta read this book but when she sent me the final copy, I still read it word for word just to experience this love story unfold again. Luca and Lina has my whole heart! It's been months since I read this book and I think about them all the time. From the way Luca made sure he was there for Lina's every need, even the ones she didn't articulate verbally, to the way Lina let Luca know that she excepts all of him, even the beast he tries to keep hidden, was pure gold. Falling in love with Luca is like the first hit of a drug I didn't know I needed and I'm trying to figure out how I lived this long without him. Black love intertwin with money, status, passion, danger, mafia lifestyle, family, and "I got you no matter what" energy is what this book is!

I really enjoyed the first book, but the second was a slow burner. It was at like 58% it’s finally got going. I’m not going to read the rest of the series because I could feel a pattern and I can’t be arsed reading the same books in different fonts.
Overall though I did enjoy the book, but I wouldn’t put myself through it twice. I love Luca and I want a man like that in my life 🤣 him and Enzo have my on a chokehold that’s for sure

Not my usual trope
Although this is not my usual book journey. I will say, this Mafia story was an interesting ride. Galina and Luca's story had so many facets and messages to uncover, and I look forward to watching Galina's new relationship with family members. The Mafia storyline was fascinating. 4.75 stars...

In Sinful vow you didn’t get to know much about Luca besides he was Lucia’s twin and next in line to take over the Moretti Family. You find that Luca loves hard and when it come to Galina he would end the world to protect her. He took claim on her and she was has perfect match. She wanted the monster that lived in him. She could handle him. Can’t wait for who’s up next.

This was different from book 1 I think the vibe of the book match this couple well. Luca seems mysterious and a man of little words. Galina is more than what meets the eye it’s like the more you read about her the more you know. Seeing Lucia and Lucas sibling relationship was so cute. Galina and Luca understood each other and catered to one another needs. Just the cute things they would say to each other had me smiling form ear to ear. I want that Gianna TEA.

OMG this was so good! Just when I thought the first book was amazing, this one topped it. I absolutely love Luca and Galina. There’s nothing Luca wouldn’t do for her. Their love for each other is admirable 😭😭😭😭 On to book 3 I go!

Idk man...I feel like reading these books is like a rapper trying to catch the beat. I feel like I'm missing a lot and I hope it get so solved throughout. Also why are there so many characters?! Like who tf is Benji?! My other bone to pick is why are all the women bad ass bitches that have to get pregnant at the end...why? Why can't they just ride off into the sunset on their motorcycles and take over the world? Hmm keep pushing brought tho. K bye 💋

I see you Asia girl! Loving this series! I was so interested in seeing what was up with Luca after book 1, and he did not disappoint! He is so much more than meets the eye! He is definitely every bit of a mafia underboss; but he has a soft spot for helping people, and is loved by many. However, he has a dark side, that no one wants to cross! Galina! My heart broke for her, after learning of what happened on the day of her birth, and having to live with that pain! Luca meeting Galina was a match made in heaven! The attraction was immediate, their connection swift and their lives just melded together so perfectly! Luca found that Galina understood him, and wanted to know, see and feel all that was Luca Moretti! Even the ugly parts. Galina found strength, support and encouragement in Luca when she was beginning to think her life's plan wouldn't come to fruition! Galina surprised me with the fire, that she has hidden! The village that these two have is insane, and I can't wait to learn more about them all! Anxiously waiting on book 3! Great job! 👍👍👍

Like I said in my previous review this series is feeding into my delusion of wanting to be a mafia wife….lol. And I am loving every bit of it. This was not only a romance but a side of violence that is very questionable to be turned on about. Like getting shot at on your first date?!? Like in no other world would a man get a call back after that but Luca Moretti yeah it was a wrap. I would’ve been folded like a pretzel right along with Galina.
Unrelated but related this book reminded me of a quote Jill Scott said “If you can tell me what to do then you can tell me what do to but if you can’t tell me what to do then you can’t tell me what to do” and baby Luca Moretti can tell me what to do!!!
I can’t wait to read the rest of Luca and Galina’s story considering it’s still some unfinished business.
Overall I enjoyed this book as much as I enjoyed the first. Maybe a tiny bit more. 10/10 would recommend.

Having really enjoyed book 1, I came into this book with high expectations and it didn’t disappoint. It is clearly dark romance and there are a lot of moral ambiguities that one finds when reading mafia romance and supporting the criminal protagonists, but what the author does with creating a sense of emotional vulnerability even within these very violent, macho spaces is fantastic. The sub-themes of maternal health and increased risk of maternal mortality in Black women and the impacts on surviving children was timely and important and really well-handled. I loved the love Galina and Luca had for each other and how no matter what dramas were going on, their love and their relationship were their safe place, never a battleground. I’m obsessed with this series now and find it difficult to put down the books when I start. I can’t wait to start Book 3.

The plot in itself is very interesting, and I like the characters. Each character that makes a guest appearance makes me wish that the next book in the series would be about them. They're all loving and have depth that is worthy of an individual book, in my opinion.
sadly, I'm not loving the execution of the plot and flow of the story. The romance that plays a big part in this book/series doesn't flow as nicely as I would like, which is an issue I faced with the first book. *spoiler ish* the proclamations of love and attraction didn't make sense to me because of their reasonings for said adoration and attraction. Also the big turning point in Gianna's story felt surface level for the impact that it should have had in my opinion.
All that considered its a nice book with lovable characters and a nice plot, but it could have more depth and a nicer flow.

This is one of my favorite romances of all time . The first installment of this series, “sinful vow” was good because it did some world building and set the tone for the series . I enjoyed that one and gave it 4 stars . I decided to continue with the series the next day and I’m SO glad I did . The second book , this book ate and left no crumbs . The stakes were higher , the romance was more intense and the spicy scenes were perfect . It had the right amount of plot, suspense, and action that made the plot addicting. This author has solidified as a fan and I cannot wait to read more from her !

this was the perfect sequel to the first book in the series. it felt more flushed out as the author got more comfortable within the mafia genre. i appreciated how the story developed the dynamics and connections presented on the previous prologue as the plot progressed. there's an underlying arch linking all the characters, and therefore, each respective book adds a piece to the bigger picture. just like last time, i absolutely adored the fmc and all the female duos and friendships; it sets this series apart from so many other mafia ones.

A very cute & spicy mafia romance. I loved Luca and Galina's ride or die romance. Even with it being a bit of a insta love, it was still a great read. My only gripe with the writing is you had no clue what any of the characters looked like. The only detail I got was Luca had umber colored skin and that was it. It was seriously lacking details on the characters, setting, places they were and that annoyed me a bit. Overall, it was a cute read and I can see why Luca is a top book boyfriend. He stood on big business the entire story.

I love how Lina had thoughts about how quickly their relationship progressed then said welp, I’ve found my person. They really understood each other so well and didn’t hesitate to provide comfort when in need. I was giggling and grinning like the Cheshire cat.

Absolutely loved the ending, it was super sweet. Niko was so cute. I love their dynamic, how good they were to each other, and how sure they were of each other. I was happy to get to see some of the Russian mafia in this one. Loving this entire premise. Can’t wait for the third one later this month.
