She was a jilted bride, he was a hothead, and they were both in the wrong story.

POWER: I took my job as the CSO, Chief Security Officer of Clover Root, highly seriously. Without a hitch, we’d transported thousands of dollars directly to the Federal Reserve for several years.

However, after a slip up with a security breach, I realized I needed to take some time off. After grabbing my backpack and lid, I hit the road with nothing but freedom on my mind.

Until a runaway bride in Vegas jumped on my bike and demanded my lid and my heart.

Right when I needed someone to protect.

ASPEN: I was a jilted bride. The dirty bum informed me by text an hour before the wedding was supposed to start. When our mothers threw their purses on the ground to fight each other, I knew I had to escape that place.

Running with no plan in mind, I hiked up my dress and hopped on a man's motorcycle sitting at the light.

I needed a hero to save me, even if only for one night.

Even though we were on the same frequency, I thought I’d never see him again.

But now, our stories were intertwined.

Growing up in a toxic environment and moving from one unhealthy relationship to another taught me that life was far from a fairytale. But books gave me solace and hope. Among the turmoil, I found refuge in reading. Engaging in stories allowed me to experience different worlds, feel deeply without judgment, and escape my reality.

This sparked my passion for fiction writing. Combining my own experiences with those of others, I create stories filled with emotion and depth that readers can relate to and escape within when necessary. My goal is to ensure everyone feels seen and heard, no matter their background, by weaving universal struggles into purposeful story arcs. I aim to show readers what resilience looks like and that there is always light ahead if you hold onto your courage.

Join me on a journey of personal truth and fictional adventures that offer comfort during tough times.

"Power: The Billionaire Bae" by Amber Ghe

My Assessment:

'Power' was The Billionaire Bae third series featuring Power and Aspen. What will happen when these two meet up? It will seem like a dream for both of them until it all comes down to what Aspen had been up to before they met. The story is sweet but also severe in all that had happened because of Aspen as she was trying to help her father's situation. Yes, what Aspen had done was ... well, let me stop here and say for you to pick up 'Power' to see how it all comes out for these two. The forgiveness for this family was indeed something else, giving the reader a good read in the end.

The heart wants what the heart want.

Cute, well written book that focused on Power and Aspen and the way that that they ended up together. Aspen was caught in a situation that she was willing to do anything in her power to save her dad. Her actions caused a breakdown in she and Power’s relationship, but in the end, love won out. Loving this series so far.

Three and counting

The third story was meh... I liked it; it was cutesy and sort of mild. The plot was good, and the execution was a little choppy. Overall, the story was 3.25 stars.

Good read!

I love the connection between Power and Aspen. Aspen did what she did for her dad, but someone could have been hurt when they did that robbery. But it's good that Power was willing to help, and they ultimately came together. I am enjoying this series.
