On the road. On the run. Back to life exactly the way I like it. We may have a few tag-alongs, but for Angus and I, it’s just like old times. For the most part anyway - as long as I can keep the strange sinking feeling threatening to drag me under at bay. I used to know exactly who I was, what I stood for. Yet a recent betrayal has forced me to question everything.
The Monarchs told me their pretty lies and tricked me with their gorgeous bodies. They took the trust I wasn’t willing to give and shattered it into pieces. I made a vow once to teach these bullies a lesson, but instead it’s me who has learnt the hard way deceit can’t be washed away with merely a stick of gum. It’ll take a deep-rooted thirst for vengeance and sweet justice from the Candy Crusher to right the wrongs dealt onto me. But that’s not up to me to pursue. If the Monarchs want me, they’ll have to catch me, and then I’ll make them sorry they ever did.
Trigger Warning: This is book three of the I Love Candy series, featuring a feisty female lead. Candy is spontaneous, impulsive and reckless, which makes this book inappropriate for under 18’s. She gives as good as she gets, causing chaos and leaves you wondering who is bullying who! Expect excessive amounts of steam, violence and cursing throughout. This book concludes the RH trilogy with a HEA! Finally!
Maddison Cole is a married mum of two, and a serial daydreamer. As a huge fan of fantasy romance novels for the past 7 years, she has finally decided to put pen to paper (finger to keyboard doesn't sound as poetic) and begin to write her own.
As a child, life was moving around the UK and a short stint in the Caribbean, before Maddison has found herself back in the south east of England where she is now happily settled. With a double award in applied arts and an A-level in art history, Maddison is just your average musical-loving, Disney-obsessed, jive-dancing woman with a dark passion for steamy fantasy books.
I want the hours I’ve just wasted reading this back. Book 1 had so much promise and then…… unnecessary other woman drama and then “surprise” half sibling reveal and then the whole “he’s dead” things from the prologue of this book….
I just….. *sigh*

My Review on: I Love Candy Series ( books 1-3) Crushin' Candy (Book one) Smashin' Candy (Book two) Friggin' Candy (Book three) By: Maddison Cole
I have to say this series is complete fire 🔥! It will make you laugh, cry, and wanna beat someone's a**. You won't wanna put down this series, It's sexy. It'll make you drip if you know what I mean. This series had my complete attention from start to finish. This was my first time reading anything by Maddison Cole, and I will say she doesn't disappoint. She sure can tell a steamy, hot, suspenseful romance.
This series tells Story of Candy and how she grew up, well skims on it. It helps you get a little back story about how she is the way she is. She's a little crazy with her imaginary gummy friend Angus. She loves her bat and her bubble gum. She is loud, she takes care of herself, and she wants out from the Cheese. (Mafia guy who helps her). She does jobs for him.. How she meets her man (Ace, Spade, Jake, Malik, and Jasper) after they take over a job she butchers for The Cheese as she calls him. You'll love how she has each interaction with each of the five. Their little gang/family is it just what she needs?
This series definitely has a lot of twist and turns. Some of the events you'll be surprised at, others you'll be screaming why! There are a lot of heat and sexy scenes. There are some m/m scenes. This series doesn't disappoint at all, and you'll be glad you read it. So get sucked into Candy's story!
Friggin' Candy by Maddison Cole is a reverse harem dark humor romance. This is the third and final book in the I Love Candy trilogy.
I absolutely love Maddison's books! She did a great job wrapping up the series. I am going to miss the craziness of Candy!
I loved the relationship that bloomed between Candy, Ace, Jack, Spade, Malik, and Jasper. Their relationship was super messy over the course of the series, but you can't help but root for them. I really enjoyed getting Candy, Tanya, Ace, Jack, Spade, Malik, and Jasper's points of view throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.
I would highly recommend this series if you like dark romances, dark humor romances, or reverse harem romances.
First of all — *Friggin Candy*? Absolutely addictive. There were parts of this book I devoured like, well… candy. And then there were parts where I found myself screaming into the void because I just wanted a *little bit more.*
Let’s start with what I loved: The guys? *Chef’s kiss.* They were chaotic, messy, and *perfectly* imperfect. Jasper — oh, Jasper — his unconditional feelings for Candy *wrecked me* in the best way. His love wasn’t neat, it wasn’t easy, but it was real. And Jack? Don’t even get me started. There’s a part of my soul that wishes Jack had found his own happiness (maybe even with Candy’s sister, if we’re being brutally honest). But I get it. I get why it had to go the way it did — even if Jasper lowkey ruined what could have been an *epic* Jack/Candy storyline.
And then there’s Bishop. *My poor chaotic boy.* Getting hurt at every turn, hopelessly in love, and somehow still hilarious about it. Bishop was the kind of character that sneaks up on you, the one you realize you love when you’re not even paying attention. His heart was on full display, right next to Jasper’s, and I adored him for it.
Now… Ace and Malik? I wanted *more.* More Dom energy, more background, more *everything.* Malik especially — he stayed too far in the shadows, and I was desperate to see him take up more space with Candy. Their connection had so much potential, and I would’ve loved to watch it burn a little hotter, a little darker, a little *louder.*
Was it perfect? No. But did I love it? Absolutely. You built a story that pulled me in and kept me up at night thinking about what could’ve been — and honestly, that’s the best kind of book.
Sincerely, A Candy-Craving, Slightly Heartbroken Reader
**P.S.** If Jasper ever needs a support group for guys who loved too hard, sign me up. I’ll bring snacks. 🍬💔
SYNOPSIS (of Trilogy): Damaged FC who is completely psychotic with a hit out on her and 5 MCs trying to get her to fall for them. The story starts with the FC going after the MCs to get her beloved baseball bat back and then they start to fall for her and want to keep her. The story revolves around the MCs trying to get the FC to fall for them and trying to contain her psychosis whilst she is being targeted by a killer. She is very resistant to falling in love but eventually has a HEA
On the whole this is a good story, enjoyable and with a well written and structured plot (if quite OTT). The writing style is out there with Candy being larger than life. There are some humorous and laugh out loud moments. It's not particularly dark but it is violent. The FC is completely psychotic and for me, a bit too much. I found Candy, on occasion, just too psycho in her actions and reactions. She mellows a bit by Book 3 but the result was that I found it hard to believe that one, let alone 5, MCs would be desperate to keep her and chase her to put up with her behaviour. Talk about high maintenance.
The reason that I gave this 4 stars (and considered 3 stars) was that (1) there are a few plot gaps which grated such as which of the 5 beat up Candy at the beginning (because it's hard for me to justify an MC beating up a woman)? How can you gloss over what Malik did and what that says about him? Who killed Sphynx? Why does the author not provide any detail of Candy's backstory? (2) the editing, especially in Books 2 and 3, is appalling. There are sentences that make absolutely no sense and it creates consistent jarring in the story. I find it so annoying that so many authors these days cannot be bothered to properly edit or proof read their stories. It's just lazy and annoying for readers who pay for their books.
If you like completely psychotic ( in a Harlequinesque way) heroines, RH and a thrill ride then you'll enjoy this.
So I love Candy. I love her personality. I hated that it took so much for her to let them in. They absolutely loved her and she just went about doing whatever. I really understood them when she went ahead and licked the pizza that almost killed her. Like she only thinks about her self... and even though that hospital trip finally made her understand that relationships are give and take, she is still the one that controls everything... they can't do anything unless she says... and it's really un fair to the guys. I REALLY would've liked to see some growth in her character where she actually learns to stop fighting and learns to be part of the group... We saw it a little bit more towards the end, but I really don't think it was enough. She is still Candy. Although, being Candy saved their asses lmao.
So I understand the guy's side. They have given her everything of them and she ran. They didn't stop to think about what they did could've caused her. They think she is just happy to live day to day never thinking about how much she actually hurts. But they needed to realize they broke her too when they didn't believe her and locked her up. Yeah she took them back but I think Jack got off easy.
OMG. When it FINALLY got to the part that is shown in the beginning. Where she is crying because she killed him ... I wanted to cry. He was literally the best part of this story. I love Angus. :(

*Possible spoilers ahead*
Friggin Candy is the third and final book in the I Love Candy series by Maddison Cole. Leaving straight off the last book we jump straight back into the crazy world of Candy and her men.
After everything that happened in the last book there is definitely a lot of things that need to be addressed. I do love how all the guys are willing to give up everything to get Candy back, and even if she doesn't show it she definitely cares about them alot. I just love them all, they have all come so far from the first book. Also totally guessed that Cherry was related to her, the twist with their connection I didn't expect though.
The storyline is sometimes all over in this book but I think it is done on purpose to reflect the unpredictability of Candy. The humour in this is just so good. A good example is Chapter 18 then Candy throws a di**o at Jack's face 😂 And the spice 👏 so good in this one. Chapter 15 and 27 🥵 Loved the epilogue at the end as well, even if Angus wasn't there 🥲 After I finished this book I read the novella and after I found out how Angus came about it made me sad when he went but happy that Candy learnt to love again.

Candy’s back to being her chaotically maladjusted tornado self as she struggles to rid herself (and the world) of her malicious, greedy step mom.
Harlequin meets Cinderella to manage a harem in the third and final (thank the holy spirits) instalment of this series.
This wasn’t bad, per se. It just wasn’t that good either. And for some reason, the deeper into the series we went, the less editing the books had. Typos, misused words, and confusion reign in this one.
That said, we were left with a mushy and feel-good happy ending, so I doubt I’ll be thinking much of this book beyond closing its last page.
Disappearing Angus, though, was a step too far into domesticity, in my opinion… alas, the writer’s idea of a happy ending was to “normalise” Candy because society said that’s what a happy ending looks like.
Oh well, not a bad read overall. A good to pass time and turn my brain off. Would I recommend this to friends? Nope. If I went back in time would I read it still? Probably.
Meh. Better then the other 2 but still not great. Don’t even get me started on the beginning. SO STUPID. Candy really drove me insane. There’s a difference being impulsive and selfish and she rode the selfish train hard. It took her 2 1/2 books to admit her feelings and it was just annoying. We get it, you’re broken and unloved wah wah wah get the fuck over it girl
Jasper- still my favorite. He’s the twin who never gave up on her and always knew who she was at her core and loved her for it anyways
Jack- once he got the stick out of his ass, he was the good twin again. The plot with Cherry was weird
Malik- the self proclaimed King learned some new tricks! The wedding pissed me off with him but whatever
Bishop- love the dreaded piercing blue eyed sex machine! I’m happy he got to be the one to marry her but that didn’t even seem necessary so I don’t get that part of the plot
This was the final book in the series and I'm sad to see the end. But I loved it, beginning to end this series was so fun. There was no a moment I wanted to lay this down because Candy sucks you in with her craziness and you absolutely never know what she's going to do.
In this book we see a side of Candy that's more vulnerable along with a side of her that is desperate to belong which I wasn't expecting. There were some major twist and turns that were fantastic. This whole series keeps you on the edge and the final was so much more.
If you love contemporary romance, want a fun crazy as hell badass FMC with some super hot possessive alpha-holes then run to KU pick up this finished series!! Like now go do it
It’s always so bittersweet when a series ends. I’ve loved Candy and her men since the very beginning and enjoyed reading each of their stories and seeing all the crazy shenanigans they’ve gotten up to, but I also really love the way this series ended! Candy is completely wild and unpredictable, and I love that she never lost that spontaneity throughout the entire series! This book had me crying I was laughing so hard at parts! But it also hit me right in the feels at times too, and I love when a book can pull out those kinds of emotions so strongly. I’m sad to see this series come to an end, but I’m happy the ending was left open with the hint of more to come in this world! I’m definitely not ready to say goodbye to these characters quite yet! 😉
Candy is my inner devil come to life I love her so much and how much power she holds in a world she single handily rules.
I love the story about how she took five beautiful, sexy and strong men at her beck and call. The family she brought together and made her own I value so much. All her different personalities showed me that I can see myself in her, I may not have the same past as her but it made me believe that anything is possible and as long as I have control I’ll be happy. I like living my life not knowing what’s coming next but I know I will enjoy it.
I’m so ready to read the prequel as I don’t want this journey to be over. My inner devil will not be hidden any longer.

This book for sure had its twists and turns as expected with Candy and her men. I had to sit with the end of the series before I reviewed as something bothered me about the series. I think for me the crazy seemed unbalanced...ok hear me out....Candy just felt too crazy for these guys and I felt like they could not keep up. It felt a little too follow candy around and not matching her. Some of the guys did through the series but overall she definitely out maneuvered and out crazy them.
It didn't fully taint the story but definitely knocked it down a peg for me. Still would recommend the series to read.
Honestly this triology could have been a duo. We still know nothing about Candy's past, she tells nothing to the guys. 😒 I know there is a novella prequel but that still isn't a conversation in the present. 🙄 The gummy bears only pop up when she's having some type or emotional crisis. Which is all the time. I get having a crazy main character but Jesus. 🤮 I was struggling to get through this book and I just wanted it to be done. I will be reading more Maddison Cole books just to give her a second chance.
Stars:⭐️⭐️ Spice: 🌶🌶🌶 (when we actually read spice)

I really do like this story and waited until I finished this book to type a review. The story is fun and made me laugh out loud at quite a few points. the author balances the sex and the story really well. The only negative is that there are quite a few misspellings and incorrectly placed words. If she has an Editor or Beta read through it to fix the mistakes then the books would be one of the best stories I've read in quite awhile.
*SPOILER*
I wish Tanya knew Cherry was her daughter before she died.
This series was an absolute delight. I loved how strong, and lets admit it, reckless, candy was. There was never a dull moment in these books and to see the transformation of what candy was to what she became was just so satisfying. Of course she is still strong and independent but she finally found her people. This series mainly focused on what was happening in the now, we only got snippets of information on all the characters. If you want a wild ride with a crazy psychotic woman and her loyal harem, this is the story for you.
This series has had its ups and downs and I was for it all. This was an amazing story to read. The FMC was as crazy as can be and I loved her. The MMCs were great as well. I got mad at each one but I think they redeemed themselves plenty. Cherry was an interesting twist too. I do wish there was more from Jasper and Ace with all the build up. The others were kinda unexpected too. I loved it all.
If you're looking for a trilogy that has a crazy psycho fmc that does not bend for her men then this is what you're looking for. She stood her ground for everything. Which is nice to see in an fmc. I throughly enjoyed all of her antics. I'm glad she got the hea she deserved.
Wow! Brilliant series, it’s a series for everybody. It’s fun, pink and sexy as hell, with gummy bears and bubble gum. Plenty of action, psycho vibes, Harley Quinn meets 5 jokers 😜🔪🩸❤️ What more do you want? It’s a page turner and addicting. You don’t want miss a chance with this crazy Candy series.
I definitely said this title over and over throughout the book. Candy definitely has a mind of her own—though at times she’s contrary for no other reason than she doesn’t want to do what someone tells her to do. I loved the character and relationship development, not only in this book but in the overall series. I loved just how unique Candy was and how she found the people she needed in her life.
I am completely in love with this series!!! Candy is a unique lady who deserves the world. She just so happened to beat the crap out of the men who can give the world to her or die trying. Let's not forget about Angus her friendly gummy bear!!
The story was so refreshing in a way of being unpredictable, I am so good with calling out almost everything in a story but this one had me all over the place haha. Love love love this FMC one of my favs of all time, her inner battle with herself.
I LOVED this set so much!! It literally had me laughing out loud one minute, and then on the edge of my seat the next! So friggin happy but gutted it’s over. 5 stars all the way ❤️❤️❤️ xxxxx
Man step mom was crazy but it wasn’t candy’s fault and that something she should’ve realized and took out on her hubby dearest. I’m glad everything worked out in the end.
This book wrapped up all the loose ends. It was overall a great read. But, I didn't like this one as much as books 1 and 2. It will be interesting to read the spin-off book.
