Entrepreneurs who are facing challenges with growing their businesses often face the same issues that impede their growth.
Many entrepreneurs believe that to grow their businesses, they must work harder and harder. They overlook the importance of the team, the financials, and a solid plan that must be executed and adjusted on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis. They don’t understand the concept of working “on the business” because they are too often working – harder and harder – “in the business”, creating another job for themselves instead of rising to leadership and orchestrating a well-run business.
Vision to Reality provides a simple set of steps to help entrepreneurs realize their vision for their business and “clear the fog” for everyone involved to get on board with executing the vision. The goal of Vision to Reality is to help entrepreneurs clear the fog for themselves and their business, giving them confidence that they can tackle problems head-on despite the problems appearing insurmountable. It is unique and appealing because it introduces a new opportunity, using simple but effective foundational principles and tools often overlooked by entrepreneurs in their quest for business success.
Vision to Reality: Stop Working, Start Living by Curtis L. Jenkins is an interesting read and one that rises above most business books out there. The author espouses that there are specific steps you can take to grow and sustain your business to reach new levels of success. With the Realization Framework Experience, a specific program whereby you learn the following: how to visualize the future, how to evaluate the people who are directly involved in making your vision a reality, how to calculate and assess necessary cash flow, how to clarify or create a clear plan for the future, and finally, how to realize the future, you can improve your business success. With this methodology you can get your business back on track, creating the vision and success you initially envisioned when you started out. This book is written in a clear and encouraging manner, is full of great advice, and is positive. Highly recommended for entrepreneurs struggling to move to the next level.
The truth is that all leaders—entrepreneurs, CEOs, and everyone in between—can be led astray to the point where they are working only in their business and not on their business. This book is primarily intended for businesspeople—Entrepreneurs who have already answered the “why” and are in the hope to learn the “how” to successfully grow a business.
This shows how to capture your business ideas and turn them into assets that multiply your company's value. Many business owners think that in order to expand their companies, they must continuously put in more effort. They fail to see the value of the team, the finances, and a well-thought-out plan that needs to be carried out and modified on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
They frequently labour harder and harder "in the business," creating new jobs for themselves instead of assuming leadership roles and managing an efficient operation, so they lack an understanding of the idea of working "on the business."
The book is unexpectedly entertaining to read; it is also well-written and captivating. The book is extremely well-researched and supported by reliable information. This is genuinely the most engaging and understandable manual for such a crucial subject with solutions.
Though there is no "one size fits all" guide to success, Vision to Reality: Stop Working, Start Living by Curtis Jenkins has five strategic steps of The Realization Framework Experience that can guide you towards your unique image of achievement. The author lays out master concepts in this book so entrepreneurs and small businesses can get ahead by working a system that brings about their desired results; time management, financial increase, and satisfaction. I felt Curtis Jenkins knew what he was talking about as I read this book. The chapter, Organize for Success, lays it out simply and revealed how to put everything into practice. I highly recommend this book for its clear business practices and production enhancement.
Best-selling author Curtis L. Jenkins shares a behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to turn your vision into a reality using his revolutionary methodology, he is a well-known Visionnaire, author, entrepreneur, and project management vice pr.
The reason behind why he wrote “Vision to Reality” (is in his words) In Fall 2020, I attended a meeting, and a fellow business owner shared that they were about to lose everything and that no one would help them financially to get over this setback.
The predicament impacted me for several reasons. First, I am a giver, and their story resonated with me thinking of all the small business owners in my community in North Philadelphia, where I grew up, who struggled to survive. I never forgot these business owners, including my great-grandfather, who left a store to our family, but my family was not trained in running a business and lost the business.
Using the framework in the book Jenkins helps entrepreneurs overcome the obstacles and challenges they face in business, avoid backsliding into negative habits, and achieve their dreams – turning vision to reality. It was a fairly straight-forward read despite the subject matter potentially being something that could be difficult to get your head around, and I found myself going back to reread a paragraph or chapter only a couple of times to clarify exactly what the message was I had to take on board. A highly recommended read by me.
‘Clear the fog and take the next logical steps forward to realization of dreams’
Author Curtis L. Jenkins earned his degree in Business Administration from Temple University’s Fox School of Business and Management and his master’s degree in management of technology from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and among his many accomplishments he is acknowledged as the business ambassador in creating trust-based relationships and the organizational adoption of change strategies. He developed the talent to grow non-profit businesses by focusing on the membership (people) and money (cash flow and fundraising), and manages business portfolios and IT projects, utilizing global talent and developing program management offices and projects for new companies. His philosophy - ‘Project management is the basis of realizing every idea from concept to reality.’ His initial book was THE ONLY JOB SEARCH BOOK YOU WILL EVER NEED.
Jenkins believes that bringing a vision to reality requires creativity and soft skills – his Realization Framework Experience, or - first understanding the vision, communicating this vision regularly, and the importance of recognition of employees. In this immensely impressive and invaluable book, he explains the processes of focusing on a vision for growth and implementing new ideas and higher standards by defining the ‘problem’ that needs resolution (avoiding misdiagnosing the problem!) and implementing the five steps of his RFE: Visualize the future, Evaluate people involved in making a dream come true, Calculate the budgets and cash flow, Clarify the plan for the future, and Realize the future (a pathway to the next beginning). Jenkins presents excellent case studies using this technique and the results are impressive. For every business, from start-ups to major companies, this book is a most valuable resource for success – the Jenkins Way. Very highly recommended.
A five-star read without a doubt! This book is a triumph of storytelling, filled with memorable characters and a plot that tugs at your heartstrings. I'm already looking forward to rereading it
