A searing look at the psychological profile of Liberals and Democrats in their perpetual misery.
Liberals, Democrats, and Leftists are rarely in a good mood. And they’re certainly not happy when in the presence of conservatives or free-thinking independents—that is to say, when coming into contact with at least half of the country. Their tendency to zealously spread discomfort and misery has been something of a mystery…until now. In great detail, Liberal Misery explains exactly what drives America’s Left to be such a wet blanket. From COVID to the Black Lives Matter movement to even everyday socializing, Liberals are joyless nags. Now we know why.
Admission: I bought this, in print, mostly so that Amazon employees would have to handle it. But it's also a good summary of the sheer joyless perversity that the Left has marinated in for the past few years, and tried to inflict on everyone else.
LIBERAL MISERY How the Hateful LEFT sucks the Joy out of Everything and Everyone
EDDIE SCARRY
Review by Author Roy Murry
This book is 'Political Commentary,' by a man who tells you he is gay at the beginning of the first of five long chapters with extensive references. Eddie writing this is not essential to me.
I read Thomas Sowell's 'INTELLECTUALS and SOCIETY.' without knowing he is black. What is important to me is content for the inquisitive mind or the fun enjoyment of reading.
LIBERAL MISERY is a book for the Inquisitive Mind, most of my followers. He gets to the point of his comments and backs them up with references - more like a dissertation than a story.
The subjects covered are contemporary: political behavior, comedy, elections, riots, and what the left calls an insurrection. Mr. Scarry's comments are conservative-based.
Whether you agree with Eddie or not, the insight is worth this fun read when you know the conclusions of the events within the book.
"When half the country chooses to exist in a perpetual state of irritability, vindictiveness and intolerance, we're all forced to share in the misery." Ha! This guy is funny! This book is a humorous assessment of how some liberals are joyless due to their constant wallowing in identity politics and in their incessant politicization of every topic known to civilization. They definitely are a buzzkill at cocktail parties but you may have to attend them in urban cities governed by blue elites to truly have the ultimate experience. Unfortunately, I've attended my share.
Most of what’s I this book is just a rehash of what’s been said over and over again by conservatives and conservative media. That doesn’t mean it isn’t true. It just isn’t new. There are some nuggets that made the book worthwhile. My favorite is the authors probe into DOJ’s statement that white supremacy is the biggest terrorist threat to the country. He pretty much pokes holes in their argument. Makes you wish that others would dig into the data too. The bottom line, as you might expect is that the threat is BS. it’s a quick read. It’ll reinforce your beliefs, but I don’t think it’ll change anyones mind.
