I’m a huge fan of anything paranormal and I always have been. I get super excited whenever they have those Twilight Zone Marathon days and anything ghost or vampire related will always attract my attention.

My interests are varied but aside from writing, I’m most excited about traveling. I’m extremely fortunate to have been able to live in England and Scotland, both places really having a profound effect on my books.

Thanks for checking out my books and I hope you enjoy them! Happy Haunting!

This is the seventh in the series. There were a few developments in this installment, but I just get the overwhelming feeling that the series is too drug out. I need more action, things need to wrap up. I think things have stalled, which happens sometimes. It’s time to throw down or walk. I normally love h.p. Mallory books, so don’t let this discourage you. I just need more. If I remember correct the Jolie series was only five books. For a spin off to have much more is a bit odd, to me at least. As much as I love the world setting it is time to finish it. There is a cliffhanger. But if you have same this far, you kind of know that h.p. Mallory loves her some cliffhangers. So overall good story, good writing, good overall read.

The Champion is my first taste of the Bryn and Sinjin series by HP Mallory. I'm no stranger to HP Mallory's books or writing style and The Champion fits right in with my love of all things HP. When Sinjin informs Bryn she's pregnant both characters kind of go off the deep end. Sinjin is positive the baby can't be his because vampires are unable to reproduce. Bryn needs further proof she's pregnant because her disbelief overshadows any rational though. Besides, she's a warrior, not mother material and her past abuse has proven her barren.

Along with the pregnancy crisis, Sinjin, Bryn, Dureau, and several others of the court of Jolie, Queen of the Underworld, are dealing with a madman who is creating an army of Daywalkers. In an effort to prevent war and bloodshed, Bryn and Dureau try to infiltrate the dreams of Luce's tribesmen and tribeswomen with thoughts of truth. They try to inform every dreaming member about Luce's lies and deception. Coming up against roadblocks, the group must succumb to asking for the help of Monsieur D.

The interactions between Bryn and Sinjin are wonderful. Their characters belong together. I love Sinjin's jealousy of Dureau (once he gets beyond his stupidity regarding Bryn's pregnancy). It's good to keep a vampire who's been through 6 centuries on his toes. His humanity shines through in so many ways in The Champion. I love and admire Bryn's strength and endurance. She's a warrior, seen and been through more than anyone should have ever had to, and came out on the other end. She's not unscathed but her experiences aid her in making sure she tries to save all of the captives in Luce's camps.

The story is well-paced and flows along nicely. I enjoyed to the character development and world building. The characters are original and the story is fresh. The story and characters captivated me and kept me engaged.

I was given a copy of the book to read.

When Bryn finds out she is pregnant , something she never thought would never happen. She finds out the Sinjin doesn't believe her and tries really hard to figure out if his being a vampire could sire a child. On top of that she and Dureau have decided to infiltrate Luc' s tribe through dreams. They want to plant the seed of doubt in the people and let them know that Luce has just been feeding them lies . Will they be able to convince the people and will Sinjin come to terms that he is going to be a father .

The gang is back and better then ever . Sinjin is well he is still his arrogant self and he is such a fun guy. He well he is so alpha and so protective . I truly like his ways . Bryn is well she is trying real hard to com to terms with what is happening and with her and becoming a mother . Jolie and Rand are back as well as Dureau and the rest . They are so good when they are all together .

Now you might think that by book seven the characters would start to stale and really not wanting to read . Well I am here to say that is not true with this series . The author is keeping them fresh and likeable . The story line is good and getting better with each book . I love the main characters they are so cute. The author takes us on a fun filled roller coaster ride. Bryn and Sinjin will have you laughing out loud , or sitting on the edge of your seat and maybe making you blush just a little . I am so happy that Sinjin got his own series of books and finally found the love of his life. Now they just have to let down their guards a little to create the family they both want and need . Check out this series you will love it

Good, but predictable

I was hoping for a final resolution in book 7, to be honest. Loved the series so far, I might pick up book 8. The characters are dwindling - Sinjin is almost caricature in this book and Bryn is not adjusting well to her change from warrior princess to future mama. H.P, please keep writing and don’t write books in a hurry just because you think the readers are pressuring you to get their hands on the next instalment. Hugs, Ilona

Satisfying in every way!

I took awhile to return to this series as I was reading another one, but as soon as this book started I was transported back to Bryn and Sinjin, their amazing chemistry, the Underworld, the impending war and all the relationships tying everything together. I've read Mallorys books for years and have never been disappointed! The same goes for Champion. A must read!!!

This was a well-written, entertaining book. This story developed Bryn's and Sinjin's relationship further, as well as the plan to contact Luce's tribespeople. I enjoyed this book and look forward to reading the next book in the series as well as more books by this author.

H.P. has a way of weaving a story so well, you don't want "to be continued" to happen. Luckily, when those words crossed my kindle it wasn't as intense as the last book.
There is one scene that had me laughing so hard I couldn't breath. It was epic! Hopefully, Bryn and Klassje hold it against Sinjin for books to come!
I enjoyed that the love triangle is settled and the couples coming together are well matched. Audrey needs to find her love.
Waiting for the next one!!

When Bryn learns she's pregnant, she can't believe it. After going through some very traumatizing events, Bryn believing herself to be barren. Breaking it to the father is going to be a whole other story. Sinjin is in for a big surprise.

Sinjin cannot believe Bryn at first, but soon comes to realize she's telling the truth. He very much wants to be a part of Bryn and his child's life. Meanwhile, the battle against Luce is looming in the near future. Sinjin will go to whatever lengths necessary to protect those he loves.

THE CHAMPION is the seventh installment in the BRYN and SINJIN a.k.a. SINJIN SINCLAIR series. I have enjoyed it from the beginning. I'm so glad Sinjin got his own story and has met his lady love at last. Prepare to laugh and cry along the way. I give THE CHAMPION 3.5 stars.

Bryn can not believe what Sinjin is saying, that she is pregnant. She is not supposed to be able to conceive and she has only been with him. Sinjin can't believe she is with child. Bryn goes to others to help her determine if what Sinjin said is true. What is worse is he doesn't believe her.
While dealing with the issue of the baby, Bryn still wants to try to reach Luce's soldiers via dream state. Bryn and Dureau try, but aren't able to reach them.
They believe it will help to be closer to Luce's camp, they will do whatever they need to to reach Luce's forces.
From how Bryn became pregnant to their quest to reach the their enemies dreams. They will be up against forces they were not expecting. The help of these people come at a cost.

This book was so good, love how Sinjin and Bryn are together. The on going story is amazing, I can't enough of this series. The only thing I didn't like is with Dureau and Klassjie, to me it was to fast.

I received an ARC copy of this book, this is my honest opinion.

The only reason I gave it 3 stars and not 2 is because the story is as entertaining as the rest, but this is definitely the worst book in the entire verse. Where to start...
Jolie is more annoying than ever before, who forces two people to move in together without their concent... I mean really.
Sinjin didn't fair much better. He's been reduced to a "typical dude", afraid of commitment and the scene when he and Brynn are in the car and he's appauled she would dare try to get rid of his Porsche was cringey at best. In fact much of the book was filled with cringey moments... the incorrect bed scene was unecessary and super awkward.
The storyline itself has entertaining elements, and I will for sure continue reading for now. This one just didn't do it for me.

I feel like I have been waiting forever for this book. The slow building romance of Sinjin and Bryn was filled with turmoil. As a die hard Sinjin fan, I have been rooting for him to find some happiness that can last. Yes, he is arrogant and snooty but he is also loyal and kind. Bryn has known so much abuse that she is rightfully guarded. The threats to the underworld community continues and Sinjin, Bryn and other leaders must work together. I loved this installment of the series and look forward to the next!

Sinjin is center stage once again in The Champion! He's still quirky but things are changing for him. The reader gets to see another side of him... He portrays the expectant father perfectly.

Bryn is still full of spunk and she's determination. I love the Dynamics between her and Sinjin. They complement each other flawlessly.

If you're a fan of this series, you won't want to miss this new chapter to Sinjin and Bryn's journey!
