as usual, i loved the plot and the twist in the end and i love how it give shiki a clearer "objective" other than being friends!! the panel truly let me in awe, i truly think that one of my favorite things other than the plot and the characters are mashima’s drawing to be honest.
the only thing i hated was drakken and the way shiki is speaking to be friends. like nope, thank you for the occasion but i don’t want it.

Der finale Kampf zwischen Shiki und seinen Freunden gegen Drakken Joe kommt zum finalen Höhepunkt. Alle kämpfen bis zur letzten Kraftreserve. Selbst Shiki gerät an seine Grenzen, kann jedoch in letzter Sekunde nochmal seine Kraft bündeln und sich gegenüber Drakken Joe behaupten. Als die Gruppe aufatmen kann, treffen sie auf Shikis Opa, der sich jedoch verändert hat. Doch was hat es mit dem vermeintlich toten Dämonenkönig auf sich. Kann Elsie Crimson, die ins Geschehen eingreift, weiterhelfen?
Das Cover gefällt mir richtig gut. Es zeigt Shiki in seinem Overdrive-Zustand. Er sieht gefährlich aus, aber auch gleichzeitig böse, was irgendwie nicht zu seinem Charakter passt. Aber cool ist es allemal. Die Zeichnungen sind wieder sehr gelungen. Allein der gesamte Kampf ist einfach nur großartig umgesetzt. Die Geschichte rund um Shiki und seine Freunde ist immer wieder aufs Neue spannend und faszinierend zugleich.
Zu den Charakteren brauche ich, glaube ich, nicht mehr viel zu sagen. Sie sind einfach nur großartig. Hiro Mashima hat einfach ein Talent für großartige Charaktere, die verschiedener nicht sein können und dennoch perfekt zusammen passen.
Drakken Joe und seine Handlanger sind einfach einmalig und haben Shiki und seine Freunde auf Trapp gehalten. Es ist schon irgendwie traurig, dass dieser Gegner wegfällt. Jedoch freue ich mich auf Ziggy und seine Geschichte. Vor allem hat mich Shikis Verhalten gegenüber seinem Großvater sehr gerührt. Es zeigt, dass er noch nicht ganz erwachsen ist und immer noch nicht über den Verlust hinweg ist.
Ich freue mich schon sehr auf den nächsten Band und kann es kaum erwarten.

Cover volume 12 ini luar biasa bagus! Beda dari yang lain konsepnya, akhirnya Shiki sang tokoh utama mendapatkan kesempatan solo cover. Mode overdrive dari ether gear-nya begitu memukau sih ya.
Pertarungan babak akhir dengan Drakken Joe berlangsung pada volume ini, masa lalu pilu tentang Weisz turut menyertai jilid ini.
Tapi pertarungan dengan Drakken Joe bukanlah akhir dari kisah ini, Kapal Edens One kini telah muncul! Plot-twist yang tidak terduga pun muncul.
Bisa dibilang Edens Zero menghadirkan fanservice yang seimbang untuk pembaca lelaki dan perempuan. Aku menikmati artwork memukau dari Hiro Mashima yang memang punya ciri khas unik ini.

Fated Nemesis
With pieces falling into place we see the struggle of the Sakura Galaxy's most dangerous foe as team Eden Zero rises to the challenge. However like a bad penny after defeating their foe (hopefully) and the return of the crew to planet Granbell a new truth is discovered that will lead them to a new quest even as they follow their dreams to one day meet the power entity known as Mother.
Honestly I didn't expect this sort of reveal and to help avoid spoilers for you I will say no more than I hope this is a case of manipulation rather than betrayal. The power scales are about to shift once more and hopefully the trust and friendship of the crew will see them all through these new trials.

Can we say plot twist after plot twist?! Take a look at Shikis new form! Look at that, I can't wait to see how he improves.
Glad to see that Cat Leaper is going strong and I have a feeling there is way more to it then meets the eye. I want to see what else Rebecca can accomplish.
Also Shiki finally finding out about Granbell? My heart. And one final thing.... Ziggy, dear oh my what have you become and where will this lead us. It feels like the real journey is about to begin.

While the ending to the figth with Drakken Joe was a little disappointing but Shiki's new form is really cool and it was nice that we did see a little of his past and why he wanted to survive and I do have a feeling that moment will become even more important in the future. We learn more about Guildmaster Noah and more resolution with Sibir and Weiss and their history. The shock came when Shiki returned to Granbell and we get a new mystery with Demon King Ziggy and the Eden One.

4/5 We get a nice conclusion to the excellent Belial Goer Arc which I thoroughly enjoyed only to get thrown right into the next arc. Shiki and the gang head back to Granbell only to run into The Demon King Ziggy who is supposed to be dead and he has a new improved Shining Four on the Eden One. Looks like the start to another fun arc.

With the end of this volume the outer space exploration will begin!
The final fight with Drakken was really cool, although the friendship part really made me go nope....not this time please. But still really good
The last few chapters added more goals for shiki which will be Interesting to see develop in the coming volumes!

Ya voy 12 volumenes de este manga que empecé el 2020 y que he ha convertido en uno de mis favoritos. Esta vez la historia llega a un punto de los más importantes: la parte decisiva del enfrentamiento contra Drakken Joe, quien hasta este momento se ha perfilado como el gran villano de la historia.
Y debo admitir que me decepcionó un poco. Cuando tienes un personaje al que le has dado tanto bombo como es Drakken Joe, esperas que el enfrentamiento con él sea épico, pero fue bastante decepcionante. Bastó un power-up en Shiki para vencerlo. Toda la batalla fue apresurada, lo mismo el desenlace posterior. En la mitad del tomo ya se había acabado la amenaza que representaba Drakken Joe y las mejores peleas de la saga estuvieron en los tomos anteriores.
Y una vez acabada la historia de este villano el manga sigue en direcciones apresuradas a presentarnos ahora sí al que será el gran villano de la historia. Algo que llega de la nada y aunque tiene algo de sentido, sigue pareciendo algo al azar. Es como si Mashima fuese avanzando la hsitoria con lo que se le va ocurriendo en vez de tener algo planeado de ante mano, una cosa de la que también sufren sus otros mangas.
Aun así, Edens sigue siendo una lectura que garantiza entretención y un buen momento. El arte es ameno, aunque a veces exagera el fan service y los personajes son simpáticos, aunque Rebecca aun no me termina de gustar. Edens Zero ha sido el manga más leído de mi año y espero continuar el siguiente con la misma intención.

Let me start this out by saying this cover easily is my fave. I absolutely love Shiki's overdrive form. And my gawd he is something else seeing him mature a little with his whole wanna make friends with everyone. If you want to call it that. Learning of Weisz's back story definitely tugs at your heart strings.
