Maybe the close knit group have met their match? They need a voice actor...and that's going to be Seki Sakurada...the Little Devil....but they use their God given skills for Evil!! Or maybe not?
I was starting to tire of the idea of this series, mostly since it's a BOOK about ANIMATION, which seems to miss the point somewhat. It's also still wildly unrealistic in how the main characters—particularly the original trio of Asakusa, Kanamori, and Mizusaki—spend all their time NOT animating, but somehow releasing animations on the level of some major animation studios while ALSO (almost)* passing their classes, too??
The story manages to add an interesting layer in this volume by having the Eizouken team LITERALLY chase down a talented voice actress (Sakurada) who only auditioned as a flex, only to find out the Eizouken members are "crazy." Even Doumeki, who .
(Also, there is FINALLY a title drop! Hahahahahaha)
I mean, I like it still, but as I'm quickly running out of shelf space, it's coming up on the "donate to free library" list. I haven't decided, since I'm not to where I want to do a drop off yet, but there's an amount that, even though I also like that they "want to show the way people live through these details that aren't worth paying attention to!!" among the titles where "lots of action lines and Male Gaze" sells, I would sooner this finds another fan than just collect dust.
*Even the translator's notes point out that it's ironic that Asakusa gets perfect 100s in the classes she ISN'T failing, which is... kind of a failing on the school's part, it feels like. How exactly are they teaching these kids?
