Nestled deep in the woods on the outskirts of Blue Water Bay, Red Tuthill has found the perfect refuge from the nightmares that have plagued him since he returned from Afghanistan. His small cabin is predictable and quiet, until a feisty redhead moves in next door with big plans to turn her newly acquired, old farmhouse into an inn. Punishing himself for mistakes in his past and hiding a secret of his own, Red vows to stay away from the intriguing beauty—and her property. But when danger comes knocking on her door, he discovers he can’t deny he feels more than just a duty to protect her.

Love Love LOVE! While I didn't think I could love any of the characters more than Liv from the first book in the series, Frannie became my new best friend in the short time it took me to tear through this book. I laughed, I cried - Frannie and her amazing friends touched a tender place in my heart and soul that I hadn't even known was there. SUCH a good read, so perfectly written. And being a Michigan native, I can't wait to return to enjoy a little slice of the fresh water coast myself!
Another powerful story you’ll absolutely fall in love with! I loved these characters and the family of friends around them. Her beautiful way of describing had me right there by the creek and feeling all the feels. I want to visit this Inn and spend time in this lovely town! Highly recommend!
It's great to be back in Blue Water Bay - and with a story that's interwoven with moments to make you cry and moments to make you laugh out loud. I'm so glad Frannie's getting her later-in-life chance, and in fact reading this book made me determined also to read Books 3 and 4 in the series. What a pleasure it's been to have them waiting for me. I reckon you'll want to read them all, too. Enjoy!
Frannie’s story is heartfelt and feel good rolled into one. Lara tackles some of the heavy issues in life, but laces in a second chance at love and a few laughs alongside. I can’t wait for the next in this series.
Loved the intensity of the entire story. Both Frangelica and Red kept you wondering who, what, why, and where would be revealed next. Of course the strong friendship of the ladies was also a plus. Can't to see who is up next.
I couldn’t put this one down! Loved it and highly recommend. I can’t wait to pick up Lara’s next book! Her characters are so relatable and real. Love Lara and her books ❤️
