The Hope series continues with Pippa, her story is about starting over when all your plans have failed, a story of taking chances and being brave even when you are over forty and feel like all doors are closed to you. Pippa found herself dragged to a friend’s family wedding when her life fell apart in England. Little did she know meeting a stranger under a willow tree in Hope would alter her and her son’s lives. Meeting new people, good and bad as well as a hot ex-seal she finds herself starting afresh and living a strange new life in a new country, only having to face her past mistakes when they follow her and having to decide if this new adventure is the right choice for her and her family.
I never know what to put when asked to talk about me, when I try to put into words what I’m like, I sound boring. I'm a middle-aged woman who likes to read, write and walk her dog, I can write wonderful things about others, I can make up brilliant characters in my head and tell people about them, but when it comes to trying to make myself sound awesome, I fail.
I rode the ups and downs of life as experienced by the leading lady. The author has written a very good story that gave me a very positive feeling for the main character but also for those who supported her as she made her life transition. Of course it is an incredible transformation to leave a life of uncertainty in England to settle in an unknown place in the US. I love the way the author writes about small town,USA at a time when small towns are very much under threat. Maybe reading this book will cause some to reconsider the attractiveness of big city life as compared to the general peacefulness of smaller towns. Pippa had to have been destroyed by her long time boyfriend kicking her out of the house overnight. Her 'ok' existence was called into question. No doubt she felt like she had wasted so much time on this guy and she did not have a way forward until the US wedding of a relative of her best friend. This opened many new avenues for her. This well written story was an easy read which l enjoyed from the first page to the last. The author will surely grow her following for the series.
When Pippa’s boyfriend kicks her and her son out of their shared home. Pippa’s life feels adrift and meaningless. During a sudden trip to the United States she finds herself running a diner and building a new life with new friends and a new interesting (and muscular) man named Isaac. Another great addition to this series! Pippa is a well rounded and engaging character. Very easy to relate to. 5 stars.🌟
Generally, romance books are not my read. Some of those I have read have been quick flings with gruesomely crude depictions. This is not that. Pippa's entrance as the Mc, is one that latches on strong to the heartstrings of those who still have them. That alone, is enough to pull readers along. What we are rewarded with is a series of trials and personal struggles that are very "bottom to the top" in nature. It's a fascinating thing to see her get back one piece of her life at a time in a new, improved, and healthier way. And for those who are looking for the spicy side. There is a genuine lead up as well as a heated pay-off in this aspect. I can respect the well-timed spontaneity, as well as the lack of crass-descrptives to attempt to carry the novel. As a non-frequent romance reader, (an outsider, if you will) The tender, genuine, and earned tends to keep our attention better. Great work, Taylor!
She’s done it again. This is the third book out of the Hope: Small Town Romance series that I’ve truly enjoyed. This time This we follow Pippa, who is blindsided when her partner, Vern, leaves her for a younger woman. Seeking a fresh start, she accepts an invitation from her friend Emma to spend a holiday in Hope with her 14-year-old son, Sam.
Once there, an unexpected opportunity arises—Pippa is offered the chance to run a restaurant. Embracing the adventure, she decides to stay and experience life on the other side of the pond. It isn’t long before she finds herself drawn to the irresistibly charming Eric.
However, trouble looms when a few unsavory characters threaten her new beginning, causing destruction to her property. With a mix of excitement, romance, and passion, this story delivers a captivating and heartfelt journey of second chances.
LOVED IT! Pippa isn’t having it easy. She’s lost her business and if that wasn’t bad enough, she’s been betrayed by the man she thought loved her and her son, Sam. Moving back in with her father isn’t ideal but she has Sam to care for and him and his grandad have great relationship. While she’s nursing her wounds and baking enough baked goods to feed an army, her best friend, Emily comes up with a plan. A trip to Hope in the US. In Hope with Love is the third book in this series and my favourite. I found it to be well written with an interesting story line both in the UK and the US. The characters are lovable with some real laugh out loud moments between Sam and his grandad. I loved how Pippa and Eric’s relationship grew as the story unfolded and how the people of HOPE came together to support each other. Looking forward to Veronica’s story later this year. Highly recommended!
It’s a good story. I liked the suspense. At first it was a little slow to me. What I mean by that, it took the couple a while to get together. But Pippa is moving from the UK to the US so the beginning is needed to understand the story. I wish we got more of Eric’s side. I really like books where one chapter is his POV and another is hers. Eric is a very interesting guy. I’d have loved to have known what was going through his head at times. Not to give anything away, but that proposal wasn’t ideal or in a great location but it made me laugh. And I really liked Emily.
Another enjoyable story from Ruth Taylor. This is the third story from the series about people who move from England to USA to live in a small town. Just like the first two stories, this one is filled with gentle entertainment that made me sigh with a smile on my face, wishing I lived in the town of Hope. Don’t get me wrong, this town is just like other places, with enough drama to keep one busy, but I love how Ruth Taylor executes her story the most. Cute cover. Beautifully written story in which I was totally immersed.
The third instalment of the Hope drama continues with the story of Pippa and her son Sam, escaping their lives in England for the attractions of Hope. It’s a well-written, quite compelling story, with a series of well-defined and loveable characters. It’s a case of a bad start with the two main protagonists, that is eventually resolved by the end. I like the feel-good flavour of these books that contain enough drama to make you read on. Ruth Taylor is populating Hope with some interesting characters from the UK.
I love this book and the ones that are part of its series, about people from England who find themselves in a small town in the US, presumably Hope, Arkansas (could be any town called Hope). They are in the middle of small-town dramas, motorcycle gang, strip-club owner, and various other characters but it all resolves pretty well. They still see it as preferable to England, which makes you wonder about England. But I can relate, and I liked the writing a lot.
Brutal right from the beginning which draws the reader in.
Pippa didn't know she was in for a rude rude shock, when Vern, the husband she loved, told her to pack and leave their love nest within 2 days. Ruth Taylor draws you into her story with her gripping tension and "what the hell..." kind of feeling that rips through your heart right from the get go of her tale. Highly recommended.
If you like cosy, small town, romance, but with added spice when things hot up, then this is the book (series) for you. Pippa leaves England for America on a holiday and things progress from there. The hot bits are tasteful and believable, the story develops in many directions, as do the characters. This is my second ‘Hope’ novel and won't be my last.
Another win. Ms. Taylor delivered another slightly damaged yet incredibly bada$$ heroine to work through her issues, coming out stronger on the other side. I loved in particular how once she processed her feelings for her ex, she never second guessed herself or backed down when he tried to beg for forgiveness. The epitome of treat me better while you have me, or you can't cry over missing me after I'm gone

Another great book by this author! I enjoyed reading the story of Pippa and Eric from the start to the end! The plot is developed so nicely that kept me engaged throughout the reading. I would love to read the other two books from this author too! Well done! :)
Easy to read story about Pippa and her new life in Hope. Some parts were a bit long (like when the girls got drunk and talked about the naughty things they’d got up to in their youth) and I would have loved to have more about Eric as I felt I didn’t know him that well. That said, it’s a good afternoon read with a nice cup of tea!
The romance between Eric and Pippa starts off relatively slow after she moves to Hope from England. The ex-military man is all about keeping her safe which is so adorable. After some small hiccups, they can finally be a family with her son, Sam and her dad. It really was a cute story and I enjoyed reading this next chapter of the Hope series.
I was excited when I saw a third book in this series came out, as I loved the first two. This one was just as great. I love second chance romance and these characters were just so brilliant. Well worth the read.
This was a nice read from start to finish. The characters are endearing and well-written and the plot is easy to follow and engaging. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and highly recommend it!
Eric and Pippa are great together. I wish we'd seen more of them together in the story but we do feel the tension between them. This is British English and flows well, like a friend telling the story. An enjoyable read, standalone with a beautiful HEA.
Fab little story. Perfect quick read for a summer evening. After a heartbreaking start, life changes for the better when a move to America puts her back in business as well in a relationship with a very handsome Eric.
Love the story of Eric and Pippa. Author is amazing at storytelling. There is a few flaws where the paragraphs are way too long. Should have more descriptions and less talking.
The perfect title, and well-developed characters. A story of second chances with a move to a new country. Pippa often showed how strong she was as an independent woman and a mother. She was so well written I was able to see her in my mind.
Pippa & Eric fall in love and captivate each other romantically. It's the thrill of the chase where Pippa plays hard to get while Eric fancies her. Do they end up together and get their happy love ending? Well you have to read the amazing story, you won't be disappointed.
The story of Pippa who faces many challenges of life, but stay strong with hope and find the love of her life. It mixes romance and positivity, suitable for who looking for a touching and romantic escape.
“In Hope With Love” is the third book of the series in which a woman deals with heartbreak, depression, adventure, romance, and love. The story was an easy read that had a really heartwarming tail. Very enjoyable!
If you’re looking for a fun, feel-good romance about love after forty, this is the book for you. You’ll find yourself rooting for Pippa and the lovely cast of characters in this sweet small town.
This author had me from the beginning with this book. A mixture of love, heartbreak, crime, mystery and some unexpected twists, I couldn't put it down. Totally recommend this book.
“In Hope With Love” was a fun read. It had romance, intrigue and humor. I was drawn in to the story right from the start and the characters were engaging and relatable. I highly recommend this novel and am looking forward to Book 4!
