We have been using Cultivating Holy Beauty in our church for about 5 years now. Many women have been drawn into a much deeper, intimate, relationship with our Lord and Savior as a result. Churches today do a pretty good job of introducing people "to" Jesus, but we often fall short in teaching people "how" to follow Jesus. That is what discipleship is all about. " Intimacy with Jesus" teaches how to have, and make, a daily quiet time a priority and how to really study God's word to deepen our relationship with Him. You can only grow in any relationship by spending time and so it is with our relationship with Jesus. There are treasures that are only found in spending good quality time in prayer and study of the bible. Despite 30 years of being a Christian, attending and serving faithfully and doing countless bible studies, I had always struggled with how to study God's word for myself- and I was not alone. Many women felt the same way. Through "Intimacy with Jesus" I learned how to do just that, God's word is finally "alive and active" for me and what a gift that has been in my own personal faith journey!
There is nothing more beautiful than taking that journey with a small group of dedicated women who meet and share what they are learning, to pray and encourage one another. The stories the author has weaved into the lessons are applicable to our lives and struggles today. "Intimacy with Jesus" teaches how to pray, meditate on God's word, and memorize scripture- it is transforming and that change spills over into our everyday lives as wives, mothers, friends, etc. as we apply what we have learned. Many women have now benefited from this curriculum and we have also taken it on the mission field and have more than 300 women overseas who have been discipled. Discipleship is not a choice; we are commanded in the Great Commission to go out and make disciples and Cultivating Holy Beauty is a beautiful tool to use in that. "Intimacy with Jesus" is the foundation of the journey, giving you the tools to deepen your walk, the books that follow build on that foundation as we journey to cultivate our hearts and become the women God created us to be.

I no longer search for the next Bible study to do because now I STUDY MY BIBLE! Cultivating Holy Beauty equipped me with the skills I so desperately needed! Worksheets for how to have a quiet time and scripture memory cards are included! Highly recommend!
