The Language of Dreams : A Visual Key to Dreams and Their Meanings

Rate this book
Interpret the vital messages dreams convey from our unconscious - an accessible guide from a best-selling author In The Language of Dreams, David Fontana takes a fascinating visual approach to dream interpretation. He helps us to understand and learn from our dreams by tracing their hidden significance - including the ways in which dream symbols interact with each other in mysterious but meaningful sequences. Building on the theories of Freud and Jung, David Fontana explains how, by paying attention to the coded messages transmitted to us in our sleep, we can open ourselves up to self-discovery and, ultimately, self-enrichment. At the heart of the book there is an illustrated dream directory covering everything from wearing a tall hat to winning a race.

I thought this was the best book on dreams I have yet to encounter. It yields a great introduction to the famous philosophers of dream interpretation and really helped me to understand my dreams better. It is not your average "dream dictionary" I found it more like a useful tool, an eye, if you will, into my own psyche. A quick and vivid read. Great illustrations as well.
