The idyllic setting of a tropical vacation surrounded by beautiful people. What could be better?
Kylie This vacation seemed to be destined for disaster. Being surrounded by thin, beautiful people made me feel more self-conscious than usual. To say I was dreading this would be an understatement, considering I'm playing the third wheel for my best friend and her fiancé.
And then I see him . . . A man so captivating, so stunning that I can’t keep my eyes off of him.
Well, me and every other woman on board.
Brett Another week on a boat, playing gigs for gorgeous people. It's like a rock star's dream come true - or not.
The rules or simple: don’t fu*k with the guests.
But the moment I saw her, I knew I could never forget her. And now I have to convince her that it's not just a game.
The only problem is that all good things must come to an end, and saying goodbye may very well be the most difficult thing I have ever done.

This was a sweet story about meeting your soulmate on a cruise ship. Kylie is on vacation wth her best friend and her fiancé. She isn’t really thrilled to be there. Brett is a musician on the ship and knows there is something about special about Kylie and he knows he needs to get to know her. Can love blossom and succeed on a cruise ship where they only have a week together? I really wish there was an epilogue. I needed a glimpse into their future.
Safety and Spoilers Safe. H is hit on by several women but turns them down. h is practically mauled by her best friends fiancé. He is stopped when her bff walks in, before he can do anything more. H was a bit of a player, sleeping with guests on the ship. h has only been with one guy. No abuse.
Kylie ends up taking vacation with Tori, her best friend, and with her fiancé Jake Foster who couldn’t keep his eyes off other women’s body parts. It was before noon, they had not boarded the cruise ship yet, and Tori was already drunk. It did not bode well for the trip. Tori and Jake also argued excessively. (This was obviously not “The Love Boat”.) The ship’s entertainment was Brett, a guitar player and quite attractive to all the ladies. He was prohibited from dating anyone on the cruise. But something about Kylie caught Brett’s attention and he wanted to get to know her better. Unfortunately, she feels he could never be interested in someone like her when he has all those thin, beautiful people surrounding him.
So with this lovely cruise and the pleasant, happy people (yep, I’m being terribly sarcastic), Kylie will have a week to decide whether Brett is serious about getting to know her. Is he really interested or playing games? And will Tori and Jake realize that they hate each other and will definitely not find a lasting marriage if they go into it with their current attitudes? I don’t think even counseling can fix their brokenness.
This was not a happy book and not one I would recommend.
Kylie is on vacation when he meets Brett, a man every woman has her eyes on. Unfortunately, she doesn't believe she has the right look for him, so when he wants her attention she thinks it's all a game. But for Brett, it's anything but.
Midnight Pleasure has the self love message, and emphasizing that love can happen anywhere and anytime. I liked that the FMC isn't tiny and isn't secure about it. Many books with women who aren't small tend to have them being immediately confident, which is great and I love that too, but it's nice having one that is self conscious and more relatable.
The couple have their ups and downs, and the plot line was a little cheesy for me, but it was still an enjoyable read.
Kylie is going on a week long cruise with her best friend Tori and Tori’s fiancé Jake. Tori is already drinking and fighting with Jake before they even set sail.
Brett is a guitar player on the cruise. He is cute and all the ladies fawn over him. He is instantly smitten with Kylie.
Will Tori and Jake stay together or kill each other on the cruise? Will Brett break the rules and try to have a fling with Kylie? Is Kylie attracted to Brett? Will it be just a fling or more?
It was easy to read and kept my attention the whole time.
3.5 stars rounded up to 4! Sweet short novella about a holiday romance. Kylie is on a cruise with her friend Tori and Tori's fiance and Brett is a musician on the cruise. I loved how the story alternated between Kylie and Brett. A nice, quick read.
