When the ghosts of his past show up without warning, pointing him toward the answers that have so far eluded him, Reese must choose between his sacred vow and the future he so desperately desires.

USA Today bestselling author A.S. Green lives in chilly Minnesota and spends the all-too-short summers on Lake Superior, which is the muse for her paranormal and contemporary romances. She writes complex characters, action-packed plots, and snarky in-your-face banter. And, of course, loads of steamy love scenes.

When she's not writing romance, she's probably watching Outlander or pleading (unsuccessfully) with her husband to don the kilt she bought him last summer.

Every minute she was out of my sight was like having my ribs pried open and my heart pulled out for inspection.

4.5 stars!

Going into this book, I had no idea it would be the ending of Reese and Sarah's story, so the ending has left me a little bereft at the abrupt conclusion. That being said, it was still filled with plenty of angst, drama, and steamy romance to keep you interested and reading. The push-and-pull between Reese and Sarah continued in this book, but ultimately Sarah's stubbornness and the mating pull prevailed. I'm interested to see if Melanie's story can hook me as much as Reese's story did, so we'll see!♡

Tropes: fated mates, forbidden love, will-they-or-won't-they, possessive hero, heroine-on-the-run, murder mystery

Masterful conclusion that left me happy, hopeful and wanting more of the Fitzpatrick family
Mated To The Mountain Lion (Secrets of the Northland Shifters Book 3) by A. S. Green fittingly wraps up the mysterious happenings surrounding the Fitzpatrick family as well as their resort business. Reese and Sarah have been working together and a couple, but there’s a sense of uncertainty underlying their love saga. Both of these characters remain fiercely loyal, determined and persistent in their own ways. While they both grow and change in their own ways, I love that Sarah seems to feel grounded and whole, finally comfortable in her own skin. Those feelings lead to a realization that she’s truly home and become who she was always meant to be.
In addition to Reese and Sarah’s viability of a longstanding, forever romance, the clues come pouring in throughout this third book of the series. Reese and his brothers are rocked to their foundation, the feelings of betrayal to nonchalance and disbelief rocket through them all. Beyond the emotional responses, the sabotage of the resort as well as their father’s murder becomes all too clear, exposing the danger they all are in.
The excitement, fear, loyalty and determination gets dialed to the max for Reese and Sarah as well. In the aftermath, the emotions run wild and so does the ultimate need to protect and sacrifice.
Overall, Sarah and Reese each play a role in saving the day, come to terms and realize that Reese’s urge to bond is fated, a must, for both of them. Along with the action, this romance is truly immersed in steamy heat and tons of heart. While Book 3 concludes for Reese and Sarah’s love journey, setting them on their HEA path, there’s more to come for this family. Book 4 is promised at the end. I can’t wait and you won’t want to miss it either!

This was an exciting finale to the Northland Shifters Trilogy. Everything came together, and the mysteries were solved. I love the way A. S. Green tells her stories! They are always fun and exciting and no matter what she writes about, she does so well that it’s enchanting and you can’t help but to be enthralled in her stories.

5 ⭐️s= Perfect story, exciting, engrossing, well developed complex characters, solid plot with few to no holes, descriptive environments and place settings, great mystery elements, realistic dialogue, believable reactions and behaviors, loved this story so much I’d buy it.

4 ⭐️s= Great story, highly entertaining and enjoyable, exciting storyline, well developed characters and settings, a few discrepancies but nothing that can’t be overlooked. Believable actions and reactions, realistic dialogue, a book I would consider buying.

3 ⭐️s= Good but not great story, noticeable discrepancies, grammatical and or spelling errors, undeveloped characters or unbelievable behaviors but still readable. Nothing majorly wrong with the story, just not interesting enough for me to continue. Would not buy the book.

2 ⭐️s= Not offended by the story, but not interested enough to finish. Unbelievable characters, poor writing, many mistakes, big holes or discrepancies, many spelling or grammatical errors, characters not believable, unlikeable or TSTL.

1 ⭐️= Offensive, extremely poor writing, horrible characters, victimization, gaslighting, blatant abuse, unnecessary violence, child endangerment, or any other highly objectionable behaviors by Main characters. Would never buy this book, and do not recommend it to anyone.

🚨 NO SPOILERS 🚨

🔮 YOU GET ANSWERS 🔮

The narrative style that A.S. Green has crafted in her first two books of the Secrets of the Northland Shifters continues in Mated to the Mountain Lion... it literally takes place moments after Alpha Rising ends. (For the most enjoyment - read the other two books first!) More action, more drama, more sex, more emotions, more heart-wenching conversations between Reese & Sarah... AND you get answers to the mystery of who/what has been sabotaging the Fitzpatrick Family & the murder of Tony Fitzpatrick. It has been a wild ride reading this trilogy of Reese & Sarah! A.S. Green delivers on all accounts! A.S. Green teases us with a mini cliffhanger about Melanie in her next upcoming book Renegade Lioness. 😊🌴🌺 I received an ARC from Booksprout for my honest review.

I end my review with this beautiful intimate moment between Reese & Sarah...

I raised my head and looked him in the eye. Those amazing green eyes. “And how do you feel about me?” ~Sarah

“Haven’t I made myself clear?” He reached up and stroked my face. “You are a comet—the unexpected kind that I’d never seen before until you streaked across my sky.” ~Reese

My heart stuttered in my chest. “That was unexpectedly poetic.” ~Sarah

Mated to the Mountain Lion by A.S. Green is the third book in the Secrets of the Northland Shifters series. You would think that because it is the third book that it would be better than the previous books in the series, right? Well, you would be half wrong. Granted that it is better than the second book, it isn't better than the first book. Although this book has a bit more suspenseful things happening in it, it only lasts for a short time. There would be a major problem, and just when you think it is going to be awhile for the problem to be solved, it ends ever so quickly. Not to mention, there were too many side plots that were just left hanging. In the end, at least we as readers can be happy for the main couple in this book. However, I hope that the next book would at least help clear up a few details that this book did not. Even though it had its flaws, I still was able to enjoy the book. I recommend this book to anyone who loves paranormal romance. Out of a five star rating, I give this book four stars.

Reese had gone to Chicago to take care of business Sarah wasn’t sure about how she felt about what happened so she left. Sat at the bar thinking and went back to the resort to claim Reese as hers, had her mom and sister come there for a festival. Reese took off to get some answers out of a person he thought they could trust and while getting answers Sarah and sister got kidnapped, Reese called John the FBI into helping them get the the girls back and sent Sarah to go with her family. Sarah forgot her necklace went back caught the bad guy starting a fire but the guys (lions) arrived in time. Things started settling down. Good book!.

Like the other books in this series, I loved it! Most of the same characters from the earlier books are here, and a few new ones, and a few new questions. I love the fact that everything was kind of tied up with a nice little bow, but at the same time it’s open-ended enough and there’s still a story to tell. I believe this book is part of a much larger series, and I plan on reading all of them! I highly recommend this book!
