Prowl is a sensational, comical and provocative story of Sgt. Logan Huntsmann, a young gay Special Operations Combat Medic with the U.S. Army, struggling with drug addiction and PTSD, who has recently completed his third tour in Afghanistan. En route to his next assignment at Ft. Bragg, N.C., where he has been tasked with molding raw recruits into future combat medics, he encounters the smoking hot firefighter, Lt. Alec Russo, a man trapped in a loveless marriage and father to three young children, who picks up Logan hitchhiking outside Raleigh, N.C. Confident in his conviction that within every straight male there exists subconscious desires for other men, Logan devises clever schemes to seduce straight men, including Alec. But he doesn’t stop there; he also sets his seductive sights on Alec’s firefighter stepbrother, Dylan, who has recently lost his young wife to ovarian cancer and must figure out how to raise two young sons on his own, leaving him spiraling out of control, abusing drugs and alcohol. Out of his fear of intimacy, Logan refuses to connect with any man emotionally, instead seeking only to slake his lust with meaningless sexual encounters fraught with danger, vowing never to fall in love, until Alec and Dylan prove to him he can have the best of all worlds.

In Prowl we follow the story of Sgt. Logan Huntsman, a gay Special Operations Combat Medic with the U.S. Army. After completing his third tour in Afghanistan, he is given the task of recruiting new talents for the future as combat medics. The gay sergeant will work very “hard” and take this job very seriously by molding these new young talents in his own way! The hot, sexy, and the oversexed sergeant is not free of problems. He struggles with drug addiction and like many soldiers suffers from PTSD. His love for men, especially seducing straight men is what keeps him going. Logan has vowed to keep his relationship and lust for men a casual thing. He promised himself not to get involved emotionally with any man. But will he be able to keep that promise?

Logan is such an interesting character. I’m so glad that the story is narrated from his point of view in a first-person style. This kind of narration will make the reader live inside the protagonist’s head and look at his love interests through his eyes. To be honest, I can’t recall reading about any gay protagonist before whose main goal is seducing straight men. Besides being physically attractive (good-looking, tall, blond, and well-built), he’s such a charming seducer, a total debaucher who is full of lust and desires! Having all these outgoing qualities made all his sexual encounters easily believable. Not only that but I felt very attracted to this fictional character which is a crazy thing to say!

Through the few months that we read and live with the protagonist in this book, he encounters the flaming hot firefighter, Alec Russo. Alec is a straight man who is married with three children. However, he is not happy in his loveless marriage. With Logan’s special way of seducing straight men, Alec happily falls into the trap. Logan does not stop there, because Alec has a stepbrother who is hot and bisexual so why not have him as well? Alec’s stepbrother, Dylan has his own problems too. He has to raise his two children after the death of his wife and also needs to deal with his addiction problems. Sergeant Logan’s presence in their life will bring them some joy but also some turbulence that the two brothers need to sort out. Who will win Logan’s heart? Will Logan break his promise and fall for one of them? Or perhaps both of them? You need to read to find out that yourself.

The book has numerous secondary characters. There is this character whom you will encounter a lot in the story. He is called Scout. He’s thick and veiny, almost eight inches! 😁 Logan puts him to work a lot! The sexual encounters are so hot and arousing. The author kept them varied and interesting according to the main character’s situation. You should not read this book in public unless you are OK with being seen with a tent in your pants!

Prowl is a well-written and sexually delicious book that focuses on men in uniform. It is such a great feat for the author to achieve all this in his debut novel. It has a captivating story, great loveable characters, and scorching steamy scenes. At first, it may seem it is about conflict of interests when it comes to relationships, yet the author provides the right and convincing resolution wrapping up the story in the most satisfying way. I loved it a lot.

Many thanks to the author Colton T. Freelove for providing me with a free copy of this book.

Well, that was one hot fuck fest.
Logan (full out: Sgt. Logan Ryan Huntsmann, U.S. Army Special Operations Combat Medic ) is full of bullsh!t, spilling lies fluently, or does he just loves to tell juicy stories, lol.
After Afghanistan, he ends up in Fort Bragg, North Carolina, mold recruits into Special Operations Combat Medics
He got sex nonstop on his mind, sex with straight men.
When you can read between the lines, you’ll find a guy who will never let anyone emotionally close, he lost too many.

Did I say it was a fuck fest? There are so many men, I lost count and names. I was a bit lost in the desert.
Logan loves to seduce straight men. Meeting straight firefighter Alec and later his stepbrother Dylan gave some layers to all the seducing. (Read the blurb for some details about them)

While it was fun, it was a lot, with little progress. At some point (I think cum shot 350?) I mentally dropped off. Try to find a point with more progress, there wasn’t really any, it was all about seducing and BJ slash fucking.

“I avoided emotional attachments to people, especially fellow soldiers—when you needed them most, they were busy doing something else—like being dead.”

Logan and Alec…, jeeez how did they get away with it all?

As for the characters, the story is told from Logan’s view, a good choice! I liked charming seducer Logan, he got way more layers than showed, did I like Alec? not so, for several reasons, ugh. Dylan was way more lovable.

Don’t expect romance, this story isn’t about romance. There are several insightful views to find, well done.
The writing was captivating and entertaining, fast-paced, clear and well-structured. The story is a bit one-sided, after finishing I was quite exhausted.
Overall a good read!

Sgt. Logan Ryan Huntsmann is a U.S. Army Special Operations Combat Medic and a damned good one who finds himself stationed at Fort Bragg, North Carolina serving as a medical instructor. But who else is he? He deals with PTSD and is a recovering opioid addict. His commanding officer in Afghanistan thinks he is a rule-breaking pretty boy. Correct. When growing up he was timid, bullied, lonely and afraid. And maybe because of that upbringing, he has a kind heart.

But lest you get an incomplete picture, he has other attributes as well. He is a master of a world filled with unlimited sexual pleasure. He has an insatiable appetite for sex and he enjoys making a spectacle of his sexual prowess. He craves it rough and believes subtlety is a waste of time. Oh, and he admits an adeptness at mind-fucking. And most importantly, he holds in high regard men who created more men – in other words, straight men. Straight men are his targets and his conquests.

This is the story of Ryan’s adventures at and around Fort Bragg, his myriad trysts and conquests, and his obsession with Lt. Alec Russo, veteran firefighter, red-blooded, all-American lady slayer. The story is non-stop, but well-written, erotica, with varying degrees of intimate detailing. I recommend you check it out!

I just found this booktitle.
As far as I now know, it's not a tremendous debut.

What my attracted were the incredible photo's on author's profile.

I found this writer some one else thanking for the GR friendship.

Now I'm looking at this booktitle.
That's not easy. It's already amazing that the book has an isbn 979-88247408 1 on the backcover, but not on the bookpage, which gives as publication date May 11, 2022.

Very hot, but a bit long for just a series of str8 bait scenes

🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 for the heat level. But even for erotica, this has a surfeit of scenes - and Logan basically has no refractory period. Also, I was first drawn to this book by the cover, but I assumed that it was a shifter book until I read the blurb.

I also felt that the blurb made a much bigger deal over the last two pages of the book than they necessarily warranted. It would have been nice if some of the random smut could have been cut in favor of an increased intimacy and developing bond between Logan and Alec & Dylan.
