Like all true romantics, Tiffany had always been fascinated by the great love stories of the past. The only child of two historians, she had always felt a pull towards British History and the epics that it spawned. But, instead of following in her parent’s footsteps, Tiffany chose to express her love of history in her own way: by writing about her favorite era. After obtaining a degree in English Literature, Tiffany decided to write her first book and never looked back. When she isn’t writing, she enjoys spending time with her own Prince Charming, and their two beautiful children, enjoying Massachusetts’ natural wonders. Hop on for a unique journey in Regency England, filled with intensity and heartwarming romance. Let Tiffany’s words bring the enchanting heroes of an era long gone back to life and charm their way into your heart!
DNF at 40%. I cannot bring myself to care about these two in the slightest. They both cold and boring. Arabella is supposed to be used to introspection, but no… she’s just constantly confused about what she’s feeling. Like she’s a baby trying on emotions for the first time. Phillip is just going through the motions of life and pretty much don’t feel anything too deeply. He kisses Arabella and they’re both just as surprised as the other as if he had no control over his body. Poor man obviously needs an exorcist instead of a wife. They’re both excruciatingly boring, zero passions, no ambition, flat characters.
They knew each other as children never really getting along. She was rebellious and only wanted to marry for love. He didn’t want to find love being scared from a childhood tragedy. Yet, fate and a special plot had different plans for them. This story is filled with emotional feelings that will capture your heart and keep you enchanted throughout. Arabella and Philip the Duke of Tillington were no strangers to each other. Having to spend a season together and some plotting seem to add a whole new twist into there relationship. Feelings and emotions were on a rollercoaster. Both fighting them. Could they though ? Was Love strong enough to put the past behind and look toward the future ? An amazing story of love and friendship growing. A delightful read .
Arabella and Phillip grew up together their parent's were friends, as children they did not get on very well. They had very little to do with each other as they grew, Phillip as a young man did his tour and travelled the world on his return he decided it was time to marry. Isabella had been sent to London for the season by her parents to go d a husband (extremely independent young lady) had her own views. DON'T WANT TO SPOIL ANYMORE SO. I enjoyed this great characters. ONE CRITICISM IS THAT THE EXTENDED EPILOGUE DOES NOT TELL WHAT IT IS ! AN (R) OR A (J) WOULD HAVE BEEN NICE.
What a sweet, fun, and oh so romantic story! I absolutely loved the interaction between Arabella and Philip. They were both so adamant that they disliked each other. However, they were actually so drawn together they both had to do all they could to fight against their feelings. Love always wins, though!
There were several typos at the beginning of the story, but other than that, I applaud Ms. Baton on a wonderful story of true love ❤️💐
Phillip and Arabella Oh what fun this book was it is all about two characters who have known each other since they were children and of course disliked each other but good old fate plans on throwing a monkey wrench into that idea of course fate just might have a helper. Phillip and Arabella were awesome characters and the author wrote them so well but the whole cast were such a great mix I loved them all even the brat.
What a great Story from Tiffany! Arabella has known Phillip since they were children. She always thought that they didn't like each other but that was then and this is now. She is so surprised that her feelings start to change. Does Phillip feel the same way she does? He is courting some one else so where does Arabella fit in? Read this wonderful story and find out for yourself.
This story is entertaining and hard to put down. It was evident from the start that Lady Miller was trying to match them and that they would become a couple, but the banter before that was delightful. Arabella and Phillip resist their attraction, writing it off to the other being annoying. Those around them either encourage or are out to destroy them, taking this book to another level. The extended epilogue was sweet, but ... girl or boy?
I loved reading this book about Arabella and Philip as children they disliked each other, but fate has brought together once again as their families want a match between them. The author has the ability to draw you into their lives as they find their dislike for each changes to being attracted to each other and much more….A must read…Loved it.
Arabella is known for her stubborn nature and her refusal to marry. Her parents sends her to the seaside to her godmother . She meets Philip who is on the same estate .They don't like each other at first but things change for the better.A very enjoyable read. I leave a honest review and I recommend this book to other readers .
This is a fabulous story! I absolutely loved it! I liked the feisty Arabella. I loved Philip! But, he was so worried about things that didn’t matter…. I guessed the identity of the letter writer and figured out about the “promise”. I found a few tears while reading the epilogue! An excellent read that I highly recommend.
A lovely read about Phillip and Arabella who spent their childhood bickering between themselves. When they meet again as adults they slowly come to realize they truly care for each other but Phillip is courting another. Why he is and how he finds his hea finishes this story nicely
I loved this book. The characters were full of life and the banter between Philip, Arabella and Lady Miller rought a smile to my face. I enjoyed watching the growing love develop between Philip and Arabella.
Such a sweet love story where two people are thrown together and who learn about each other and who grow to realize what true love is all about. It does have a little bit of intrigue and a backstory of tragedy but in the end it shows that opposites do really attract.
This is a very good story about love and friendship and a young man torn between following his heart and keeping a promise he is told his dead parents made A enjoyable story
This was a really fun book! The characters were really well written. I loved Phillip and Arabella. I was rooting for them the whole time. Love/hate relationships always make for fun books. This is a great book to read if you are looking to escape to a different time. I highly recommend it!
A wonderful story from start to finish by Tiffany. There's friendship and old banter, there's humor and sincerity along with a little drama! The story carries you along the way with even some adventure.
Arabella and Phillip always got on each other’s nerves. As adults, they dreaded spending time together, until they realized their feelings had changed. But Philip was engaged to someone else so wasn’t it too late?
This is a wonderful book. I loved the characters. Even though I was given a copy of this book by the author, it in no way influenced my opinion and this is my honest review.
The story has a young woman and a Duke who have known each other a long time surprising themselves when falling in love. The Duke was expected to marry someone else so it took him a while to figure out what to do.
Delightful fairytale of a story! Well written, strong characters! Well developed backstory, and a well tangled snarled plot that keeps one on one’s toes!
Arabella never wants to get married. The duke is courting a lady. When Lady Miller gets involved all bets are off! When the truth comes to light get ready to swoon.
