Jack Frost Roasting on an Open Fire
Wayne Bradford is a typical 7 ½ year old boy in 1979. He loves all things Star Wars, snow at Christmas, and pizza without the pepperonis.
Wayne’s done his best this year to be a super good boy in hopes Santa Claus will bring every toy he put in the letter he mailed to the North Pole.
But on the last day of school before Christmas Vacation, Wayne has a run in with the class bully.
Not wanting nor knowing how to fight, there’s one way Wayne can only avoid getting beat up.
He can give the bully his most prized new toy — a large size Darth Vader action figure –- when school resumes.
During the two-week holiday break Wayne will seek advice from his World War II veteran grandfather, his cool as the Fonz teenage cousin Randy, and his second grader best friends with expertise in the laws of the playground jungle.
Will Wayne appease the bully and hand over his favorite new toy?
Will he tell their teacher to avoid a fight but get labeled a tattler in the process?

Children of the 80’s unite!
Jack Frost is a charming look back to elementary school friendships and growing up. You know, the friendships that seemed so complicated at the time but we look back on as simpler times in life. Brian Floyd has created an entertaining and enjoyable tale of a young boy and the small world around him. I suggest you give it a read!
