Molly Fitz is the quirky, cozy mystery pen name of USA Today bestselling author, Melissa Storm. And while she can't technically talk to animals, she and her doggie best friend, Sky Princess, have deep and very animated conversations as they navigate their days. Add to that, five more dogs, a snarky feline, comedian husband, and diva daughter, and you can pretty much imagine how life looks in the Casa de Fitz.
Molly lives in a house on a high hill in the Michigan woods and occasionally ventures out for good food, great coffee, or to meet new animal friends.
Sadly this is the last book in one of my favourite series but still brings mystery and fun to the table. Angie is now happily married, while Octo-Cat is enjoying being dad to the kitten Charlene which she rescued during her honeymoon. With Octo-Cat want to retire from the PI business Angie is struggling to find purpose in her life, when some threat to reveal the biggest secret of all. Can Angie ,Charles and the others can figure out who's behind the threat. Will Angie find her place now that Oct-Cat Haas found his. I do hope the gang pop up in other books along the way because they are such great characters
ANIMAL ACCOMPLICE, by Molly Fitz is the eighteenth and last installment in her Pet Whisperer PI series.
Angie and Charles are home from their honeymoon and Octo-Cat and the hairless couple have wholeheartedly taken to little Charlene. That's when an email arrives threatening to tell Angie's secret to the world, there are even videos to prove it. Angie decides she should be the bone to tell everyone, not some blackmailer. Will this be the end to her life as she knows it? Will people accept her revelation or mock her? Will her husband be branded with her reveal? Can her PI business survive? Only time can tell.
I have thoroughly enjoyed these well-written stories and the hilarious animal antics and personalities. Just reading one of these stories make my stress fade away. I will really miss the opinionated Octo-Cat and his friends, even cute Pringle.
I recommend all of Molly Fitz's stories to animal lovers and cozy murder mystery fans, alike. Get ready, I heard rumors of a possible spin-off in the works.

I am sad that this series has come to an end because I enjoyed it, especially the earlier books but I am happy to read that Nan is going to continue on the investigations. Yeah more Nan and hopefully the loveable Paisley, two of my favourite characters. Not sure how it will work without Angie to talk to the animals but I am sure the author has a few tricks up her sleeves because the one thing you can count on with this author is it will be unusual, entertaining and contain lots of animals. This book wasn't so much a mystery and more Angie trying to find her purpose in life now that she is newly married and the proud owner of four cats. It was a nice round up to the series and yes I needed tissues. Angie is bored now that Octo-cat has become a father and doesn't need her so much, her private investigation business never really took off, Nan moved out of the mansion they shared to be with her new husband and Angie's own husband is catching on work after there honeymoon. She should be careful what she wishes for because somebody knows her secret and is threatening to reveal it to the world. Can Angie solve a case without her partner Octo-cat? Or make changes to her life that will effect the whole family? I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review
Angie and Charles are married. They have brought home with them a kitten named Charlene that Octo Cat has claimed as his daughter. The other cats are also helping him out by doing a cat school for Charlene, Angie has kept her secret for a long time about being able to talk to the animals but now people look at her differently. Charles is surprised to get a job offer that will affect both him and Angie. At first Charles does not want to take it but Angie surprises him by telling her they are expecting a child. They find out more about the job and decide to accept it. Will the cats be happy. At first it did not seem so but when Octo finds out its near his Grizzabella he is ready to go. They arrive in Boulder at their home and new vehicles to be surprised that Pringle has shown up there also. So the whole family is together. We find out that Nan is going to take over Pet Whisper PI and it will be a new series. I receive complimentary books for review from publishers, publicists, and/or authors. So many feelings!! Apart from being very well written and a good mystery, this final chapter to the adventures of Angie and Octo-cat has brought me back down memory lane with all the previous cases being mentioned to a time when I barely knew the stories of Molly Fitz and I was just scratching the surface of her incredible imagination. The wit and sarcasm that characterise her work are a joy to read and this final book is a treat worth savouring slowly. There will be more stories, even if not in this particular format, and knowing that makes this final read less sad, just bittersweet, because there is something new awaiting, and that helps with the "book grief" state I'm in now. Absolutely Recommended!!

Mysteries within mysteries within mysteries. I got off to a bit of a bumpy start with this. It was so easy for me to empathize with Angie’s sense of panic and overwhelm, that I became quite unhappy with all the persons that weren’t taking her as seriously as I was. (I’m giving you the evilest stink-eye for this Mr. Octavius Maxwell Ricardo Edmund Frederick Fulton.) In the end, I loved the way that situation worked out, and I even kind of love all the ‘complications’ that’ll bring. There’s a big part of me that’s really sad to see the end of this series. However, more of me is looking forward to seeing what the author has planned to spin off from here. I received a complimentary copy of this book through Booksprout
A good end to this series, although I am sad to see it end. It seems it might just be a new beginning. Angie gets a message that someone wants to tell the world about her gift. It freaks her out until she realizes that she should be the one to let everyone know about her gift. It doesn't go quite the way she thought it should. Their little family is changing, and Angie isn't sure what she should do. When an opportunity comes along for them to move elsewhere, they have to make the decision to go or stay. A lot will depend on Octo-Cat's reaction. He can be a bit stubborn. Life has a way of surprising us.
This book and the first are probably my favorites out of the whole series. I felt Angie was a lot less... self absorbed? Generally I haven't really liked her character much but I did in this installment.
For the overall series: 3 stars.
I feel the author doesn't really know cats, or just chose to write the overly stigmatised version of cats. Cold, aloof, selfish and mean. It's rather sad because if you have cats and know them, that's not true of cats at all. Still, the series was alright. Not great but since I had started it I felt like I needed to finish it. I skipped number 4 entirely as it was full of magic and not really part of the series.
Such a well written and heartwarming cozey mystery with such an array of well loved and unique, colorful, vibrant and quirky characters that will draw you in from the very first chapter while the plot thickens and the series takes a new shape you won't be able to feel sad and happy at the same time. I started reading and couldn't stop until the exciting and dynamic conclusion. Acquire " Animal Accomplice " ( book 18 of Pet Whisperer P.I) so you yourself can enjoy it as much as I have. 😃 Kat.

A great ending to a cozy mystery series. It started with Angie Longfellow getting shocked by a faulty coffee pot and ended up being able to talk to animals. She is Octo Cat’s human as he would say and is quite the feisty cat. Along the way she ended up with other animals which had a story attached to each so now that the series is ending, I couldn’t have asked for a better ending. All worked out in the end, but I won’t be giving any of it away. I might say where Angie’s series is ending, Nan’s is beginning????.

As this series winds down, there are major decisions to make. Newlyweds Angie and Charles have returned home. Now Angie receives messages from someone online saying they know she can talk to animals, and they’re going to tell everybody about it. Rather than give in to threats, Angie feels she should be the one to tell everyone her “secret”. How will people react? Will she find out who the blackmailer is?
Grab your copy and see if everything turns out as you hoped. Will Angie move her life in a different direction now?
Things have not been the same since Angie and Grant returned from their honeymoon. Nan has moved out with her new husband, taking Paisley with her. Octo-Cat is preoccupied with his new adoptive daughter. Angie is at loose ends with what to do with her life. So many changes are coming! Join us as we say goodbye to all the beloved quirky characters we have known for so long! Don’t think this will be a sad goodbye, but rather full of exciting changes for the future and the promise of things to come. I can’t wait to find out what Molly Fitz has in store for us!
I felt that this book may have been put together in rather a rush. It seems that there was not much in the way of plot , which in this series usually involves solving a mystery. That being said, the ground work for a new series was laid which will still Involve characters from the series that we grew to love. The promise has been made that the other regulars will still come into play as this new series advances. The characters that have mainstays of the original series have all been written good futures and will all be a part of each other's lives. So, farewell to the series, but we will see you again for the characters. I'm looking forward to it!
Wow! Number 18 and the end of the series. I’ve come to love reading about Angela and Octo-Cat, now including Charles and the additional cats. They’ve become like friends. I’m glad to hear about a spin-off series featuring Nan and the cute little chihuahua Paisley! I do recommend this series if you haven’t read the series. It’s fun and imaginative. Wish I could talk to animals! I received a free ARC of this book from the author and write this review voluntarily.
Stranger than normal. So much happened. You will have to leave reviews to let me know just what you think of it. I enjoyed the story so much. Sad to see Pet Whisperer PI go but something new has come out of it. I am delighted to hear the news about a new member to the family also. Can't wait to see just what else is going to happen. I received a complimentary review copy of the book and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
Angie's secret exposed. George getting a promotion. Moving? So much is going on in this book that it keeps you reading to find out what is going to happen next. Really great ending to a delightful series. Sorry that it's ending, but the good news is that Nan is going to go into the PI business herself. With cameos from our favorite people and animals I am sure that that series will be just as delightful. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
When Angie comes clean as being able to talk to animals she doesn't get much traction with it. When Charles is offered a new position and things begin to change they decide it's time .
I will miss the Pet Whisperers and series but it's time for Angie, Octocat, Charles and this crazy bunch of characters to really move on to new and better stories. Highly Recommended 5/5
Molly Fitz books are always charming and this one was no exception. It is a great end to a terrific series of 18 books of the Pet Whisperer P.I. series. This story ends with an unexpected surprise. Makes me wonder if it reflects Molly's true life.
I was given a copy of this book but am voluntarily posting an honest review.
Well this was bitter sweet. Most of the series was tied up nicely, but I felt with the ending there could be more to the pet detectives. Especially with a new character arriving. I liked the story but I was a bit disappointed. I was hoping they solved one last murder. It was a good series… especially the beginning books. Happy Reading :)
I have enjoyed Octo-Cat and at times wanted to tell him off. Even when it seems like he has mellowed some he is still all cat. This one seemed to go at a faster pace and yet I didn't want it to end. There are many openings for new adventures. I can't wait to see what's next.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. It is a very good end to the series that lets everyone know what happens to Angie and Octo-Cat. Angie decides to come out about her gift and while at first the response wasn't good, it eventually opened new doors for her.
When Angie is threatened with exposure of her ability of talking with animals, she needs to face a dilemma. Does she share her ability with the world or will she stay in hiding? And what will she do with her life now that the Pet Whisperer PI is going out of business. This end of series book answers all of these questions and more. I’m sure glad they’ll be snippets to read in the future.
This has been a fantastic series with some incredible characters and I am sad to see it come to an end … or has it 🤔. I love Angie and Octo-cat and their adventures and now someone is blackmailing her about her ability to talk to the animals. It’s a fun read, has some mystery and awesome characters that have come to feel like family.
I wondered how Ms. Fitz would end this series. It was not how I expected but a fitting way to bring it to a close. I will miss Angi, Octo Cat, Pringle & all the gang. I will enjoy reading the series again straight through because I very much like this series. I received a free copy from Booksprout & am leaving this voluntary review.
Is Animal Accomplice the end or just a new beginning? As Angie adjusts to all the changes in her married life, it seems she also has to deal with a blackmailer who wants to out that Angie talks to animals. I have enjoyed all the books in this series and this one as well as it ends Pet Whisperer P.I. and sets up Pet Whisperer INC. All the gang is back to keep the reader entertained.
this was such a strong entry in the Pet Whisperer P.I. series, I really enjoyed this entry in this series. It's great that this series has continued to be as strong and the characters were what I was hoping for. Molly Fitz has a great style and I enjoyed the mystery aspect.

Everyone got their happily ever after. I'm glad Oct of at was able to move very near to his Grizzabella! I was on the edge of my seat about Pringle. So glad he made it to their new home. He's a resourceful little dickens!!!!!! Everyone is happy! Now, I'm hoping for some more Merlin and the other series with the cat named Shadow.
The quirkiness continues in this lighthearted episode. I love the style and characters! Well written as always, but there is a but! It’s the last book in this series. I have loved every book! But I am a bit sad, although I know that whatever Fitz will write next will be just as good.
I can't believe this amazing series is coming to an end but hopefully we will get a spinoff with Nan and paisley. What is Angie to do now that she is happily married and Octo cat is a dad and then the emails start. What will Angie do without her cat to help her solve a case and will the secret get out.
