Autant le premier tome a du mal à démarrer, autant ici, avec le second, tour commence à se mettre en place. L’histoire est anxiogène et donne la nausée au fur et à mesure des pages. Les dessins sont magnifiques et leurs côtés lisses contrastent avec la dureté et l’injustice répugnante de l’histoire. Aussi, au niveau de la forme, raconter la même histoire mais d’un point de vue différent par personnage et par tome est très intéressant. Hâte de lire le troisième tome afin de voir comment la mangaka va clôturer cette histoire sordide.

TW : agression sexuelle, tentative de v***, relations toxiques
Contexte : J'ai dit à ma collègue que je voulais lire plus de mangas d'horreur (en mode angoissant) ou de manga qui abordent les violences faites aux femmes.
J'ai été servi.
Maintenant, parlons de ce chef-d'œuvre.
Dans Adabana, on suit deux points de vue, celui de Mizuki une lycéenne bouffée par la pression familiale et celui de son amie Mako, une jeune fille avec peu de moyens qui sort d'une relation très toxique.
Un jour le corps de mako est retrouvé démembré près d'un lac. Le lendemain mizuki avoue le meurtre de sa meilleure amie au poste de police.
Pourquoi ? Comment ? Ça n'a aucun sens.
L'histoire suit en parallèle l'enquête de police faite autour du crime et le jugement de mizuki. C'est un super thriller, honnêtement, j'arrivais pas à pauser le manga. j'avais mal au ventre. Je voulais connaître la fin, voir le dernier mot. Qui ment ? Qui dit la vérité ? L'auteur arrête pas de changer de discours c'est insupportable.
Pourquoi lire cette horreur ? : Pour la relation entre mako et mizuki, pour les sujet aborder.
Le manga dénonce avec brio l'incapacité du système juridique japonais et certaines violences faite aux femmes (même si elles servent plutôt de toile de fond au manga)... Il y a certaines pages qui restent bloquées dans ma tête.
En fait, Adabana, c'est l'histoire de deux filles qui souhaitaient se protéger.
Et c'est tellement LA Trope à laquelle je suis la plus sensible.
Donc, forcément, j'ai pleuré.

Haven’t read a manga this good since I read Blood on the Tracks last year.
It’s a story about two troubled girls who try to support each other in their darkest hour. Mizuki is a quiet girl dealing with the deaths of her brother and father while constantly being mistreated by her cold hearted mother. Mako puts on the facade of a cheerful perfect girl to hide the sexual abuse she’s experiencing from her own family and to hide that she’s the victim of an obsessive stalker. They both have sad and lonely lives, but they find comfort in defending and loving each other.
When Mako is believed to be found dead, Mizuki is launched into a dark and twisted murder mystery that slowly uncovers the gruesome truth about the whole situation and the sick secrets behind the culprits' motives who drove both girls to this point.
This was thrilling, shocking and emotional from beginning to end. It deals with some really sensitive subjects and criticizes the legal system for allowing this type of abuse and neglect toward children to happen and then letting them take the fall once they either die or turn to crime to set themselves free from their abusers.
There were quite a few twists I didn’t see coming and the way the stories of each character changed depending on the perspective you’re viewing them from really added to the dread and tragedy of uncovering the full truth of what really happened. Some characters are more selfless and heroic than they first appear while others turn out to be the complete opposite in the worst ways possible.
The two main girls were wonderfully written characters and the resolution to their heartbreaking story really hits where it hurts.
Dark, sad and oddly beautiful in some ways. Great ending.

mm la historia ok pero mi problema es el enfoque visual. Ambas protagonistas están muy sexualizadas y fetichizadas que entiendo que es la forma en la que las ven los hombres en este manga pero no ha sido para mí, me ha resultado muy desagradable. Hay escenas que me sobran por completo. Siento que la historia trata temas muy complejos y duros como el abuso, la violencia de género e incluso la pronografia de menores y me choca mucho con las escenas de ellas dibujadas de esa manera. Se puedo contar la mismo y de forma igual o más efectiva sin mostrar de forma tan gráfica y explícita la violencia hacia el cuerpo de estas chicas.

Ce tome était horrible.
Le point de vue de Mako m'a complètement détruite. La vie de merde qu'elle a, ce n'est même pas imaginable.
On explore beaucoup plus sa relation toxique avec Yuki et l'emprise qu'il a sur elle. C'est tellement réaliste que ça m'angoisse.
Bordel j'ai des envies de meurtres à chaque fois que je vois les visages de l'ex et de l'oncle.
Hâte de lire le dernier tome pour enfin découvrir la vérité sur le meurtre principal.
Pitié, je veux juste que ces deux filles soient heureuses. C'est impossible mais laissez-moi rêver.

Está parte nos ha ayudado a conocer más la historia de una de las protagonistas, sin embargo me ha gustado mucho más el primero, aunque esté se siga manteniendo en la trama pero he visto sobrecargadas algunas escenas o se me estaba haciendo larga la historia de Mako.. pero quiero leer ya el 3..

Trilogie de manga incroyable avec son gros lot de TW.
Une lycéenne se dénonce auprès de la police pour le meurtre de sa meilleure amie, un meurtre brutal et violent. On retrace son parcours des derniers mois pour comprendre comment ça a pu finir comme ça.
Haletant, surprenant, horrifiant, on a un combo de tout ce qui fait un bon thriller. Les dessins sont magnifiques et la narration très bien maîtrisée !

El manga va desmenuzando la verdad y los pensamientos que cruzaron la mente de Mizuki desde la muerte de Mako.
Van aclarando la triste realidad de Mako y lo que la llevó a realizar ciertos actos, pero siempre confiando en su amiga. La dulce personalidad de una adolescente corrompida por la vivencia de muchas víctimas.
Me ha hecho llorar y preguntarme el por qué de la crueldad del hombre, queriendo proteger a ambas de cualquier peligro.
Excelente manga.
El manga va desmenuzando la verdad y los pensamientos que cruzaron la mente de Mizuki desde la muerte de Mako.
Van aclarando la triste realidad de Mako y lo que la llevó a realizar ciertos actos, pero siempre confiando en su amiga. La dulce personalidad de una adolescente corrompida por la vivencia de muchas víctimas.

Where volume one left me feeling breathless, volume two left me hopeless. The narrative shifts to Mako, the other half of the story and the murder victim in volume one. The story goes all the way back to the beginning, long before the events of the first volume. This volume peels back the curtain to reveal the true horrors happening to Mako that lead to a desperate crime and the dark secret shared by the girls.
As in the first volume, NON’s art is haunting. The character faces express emotion so vividly and I was blown away by shocking but brilliant shifts in the art. From the violence depicted in the loss of a character’s virginity to the rough and unclean lines to showcase explosive anger.
I can’t lie, I’m completely devastated and cried a bit after finishing this second volume. The manga takes a bold leap from a mystery crime investigation straight into psychological horror. Serious trigger warnings for this volume, things get bleak.
The final chapter left me feeling hollowed out and I couldn’t continue into the last volume right away. It also becomes clear to me that there is a link between this series and a case that is only referenced in passing in volume one, the murder of Shiori Ino. Having this knowledge in mind, I can’t help but feel dread for the final volume.

Oh my god. I didn't really know where the first volume was going but this one was absolutely incredible. And the way it added to the story makes me want to go back and read the first one and up my rating.
Having this whole volume be Mako's point of view was so clever. It is an amazing and painful depiction of a young desperate girl in an abusive situation. Also i "loved" how the manipulative relationship was shown, how sometimes it's little things that add up and it's hard to get out of it and this happens to so many young girls.
The contrast between her awful situation and her sunny, almost childish personality at school was so well done.
Also the ending has me shoooook, the plot thickens and i just don't know what to think. Well, i know the third and final volume will probably blow my mind.

I don’t think there has ever been a manga that has made me sick to my stomach. As well as seeing the true perspective shift between Mako and Mizuki?? So beautifully done, I really wasn’t expecting it at all. I love these two so much, I really can't stress it how no manga has genuinely ever made me want to vomit in how real these moments are depicted.

Nuevo volúmen de Adabana, esa serie tan oscura que os comenté hace un par de meses.
Y es que el volumen es turbio, turbio, y de lo turbio que es, es adictivo. Eso sí, es bastante bruto así que no lo recomiendo para aquellos más sensibles.

Un second tome terrifiant. Il y a énormément de trigger warning dans ce second volet, alors faites attention à vous.
On aperçoit le calcaire qu'a vécu Mako, alors même que personne ne se doutait de rien... C'est réaliste, c'est réel. Et le côté manga renforce encore plus le dégoût et la colère que l'on peut ressentir en lisant cette histoire.

Der zweite Teil von "Adabana" erzählt die Geschichte des ersten Bandes aus der Sicht von Mako Igarashi.
Tatsächlich finde ich diesen ein wenig gelungener als den ersten Band, da die ein oder andere Frage geklärt wird und auch das Verhalten der einzelnen Charas etwas verständlicher wird.
Ich freue mich schon auf den dritten (und letzten) Band der Reihe. ☺️
