Elisa S. Amore is the author of the paranormal romance saga Touched. She wrote the first book while working at her parents’ diner, dreaming up the story between one order and the next. She lives in Italy with her husband, her son, and a pug that sleeps all day. She’s wild about pizza and traveling, which is a source of constant inspiration for her. She dreamed up some of the novels’ love scenes while strolling along the canals in Venice and visiting the home of Romeo’s Juliet in romantic Verona. Her all-time favorite writer is Shakespeare, but she also loves Nicholas Sparks. She prefers to do her writing at night, when the rest of the world is asleep and she knows the stars above are keeping her company. She’s now a full-time writer of romance and young adult fiction. In her free time she likes to read, swim, walk in the woods, and daydream. She collects books and animated movies, all jealously guarded under lock and key. Her family has nicknamed her “the bookworm.” After its release, the first book of her saga quickly made its way up the charts, winning over thousands of readers. Touched: The Caress of Fate is her debut novel and the first in the four-book series originally published in Italy by one of the country’s leading publishing houses. The book trailer was shown in Italian movie theaters during the premiere of the film Twilight: Breaking Dawn—Part 2.
I loved this book! I hate that the townspeople are rebelling against the gods and how they hate the demigods. I hate that they hurt Cole but I’m glad he was okay. I love how Cassandra agrees to help try to find Melany and how they even travel to the underworld to look for her. I absolutely love how she finally returns to their world especially when they need her.
The storyline is always expanding and the characters are growing with each book. I enjoy the loyalty these friends have for each other. The story shows a world in which the ancient Gods and the Titans interact with mortals and demigods. The rules are never black and white, but gray, making for a more realistic feel. It is a great series that holds my interest because I feel that I can relate to the characters and want to see what happens next. Written much like a storyteller would from first person points of view, making the reader a part of the unfolding story as the characters involved find out more and more about the mysteries and conspiracies swirling around them. The authors seem to have an understanding of the mindset of a teenager. It comes through in the way the characters have inner turmoils as well as external ones. That feeling of not being part of a group or feeling that head over heels kind of love are excellently explored in the story. The action and thrilling suspense as well as the warfare and intense edge of your sit way this epic tale has unfolded has me recommending this series. I can't wait to read the next book in the series. I have preordered it.
Well in this one the mortals finally stand up for themselves. However, they do it at the expense of the demigods. They vandalize the temples, kill one of they're own and shoot Cade. Nicole keeps seeing a portal opening to wherever Melany is. And it's not the underworld. I've got your attention now haven't I? Finally in this one Cassandra starts to have a personality! Now I'm starting to like her. I probably would have before if you had given her one from the start. I feel bad for Nicole because she had to think she's got crazy seeing Melany everywhere.
Unrest is happening in the mortal realm. A group wants to end the gods. Meanwhile, Nicole is having visions of Melany, has even talked to Melany. But everyone thinks shes dead. Everyone but Cassandra. A visit to Hades Hall has Nicole sure that there is more to what happened to Melany than they were told. Cade is leading a mission in Pecunia but things get rough and the portals shut down. War may be coming sooner than they thought.
Such a good read! Every book is a layer to the previous book and answers questions while leaving me with so many more. Can't wait to dive into the next one!
I love this series, but I am extremely disappointed with book 10. They left us in the middle of an ongoing adventure which is completely unfair to us. The book is still every interesting and I will be waiting for the next one
Really bummed this has become a recap about Melany. I appreciated the new MC, but once it became an obsession about Melany again it's starting to lose me. She was an annoying character and I was satisfied with her demise.
There’s unrest amongst the humans. Cade and some others have gone to the human realm to keep an eye on things. Nicole and Cassandra are on their own adventure. Nicole keeps seeing Melany. She wants to figure out why. The humans want the gods and demigods gone.
Awesome book, awesome characters, awesome adventures! Every book in this series was wonderful and I couldn't wait to start the next one and the next one and the next one... I hope this series goes up to 30 books at least!
