We met Evelyn in Hunger shes the Bff of Darragh and she's having a hard time in life but when she gets a phone call from her bestie her life changes and her life is opened to a new world when Cain claims she's his and he's coming for what's his. That has Evie well running who doesn't love a good chase ;) it doesn't take long for Cian to find his mate but they run into some trouble and there called the Assembly a new group that's shaken up their world. They need to come together and make sure none get hurt. Beside that we see Cian and Evie finally come together ❤.
We see new Characters and I can't wait to see Adryan book just from the teasers heheh..
No ow/om drama, no cheating, Drama, Slight secondary character, sexy times, virgins

2.5-3ish Stars
I’m not going to spend much time on this because I only read/listened to it because I was driving, and I have a thing for John Hartley’s Scottish voice. I enjoyed some parts… was bored with others… so I’m slapping on a 3⭐and calling it good. Moving on…
This is the fourth book, and I haven’t read any from the series, but I’m pretty fluent in PNR and didn’t have any issues following along. From what I gathered… Vampires and Lycans exist but aren’t out to humans yet… I don’t think. There’s a secret, military-esque organization called the Assembly that tracks them down to kill, experiment, keep in them in exotic zoos (so maybe humans do know), and pimp out to those interested in raping or beating them. Vamps and Lycans aren’t immortal, but live very long. They aren’t enemies but not friends either. Both species have ZERO sex drive until meeting their mate, and they only ever have sex with their mates. (Dual virgins h-23 & H-250)
Evelyn is the BFF of a previous h, and Cian sees/hears her during a facetime call and realizes she’s his mate. Initially, she’s not receptive to this and takes off. Cian tracks her down and the rest is their journey to HEA.
My biggest issue was the pacing, which was dreadfully boring at times. It takes FOREVER (Ch. 13/30%) for them to even be in the same room. Up to that point we’ve basically been following them around separately while she talks on her phone/goes to work, and he does Lycan stuff. Everything is DRAWN out and takes pages to happen. (loads of telling and repeating for emphasis) For example, when Cian finally makes it to America, he needs information from the vampires (I’m assuming her address), but we’re stuck in the club for chapters. (decorations, happening, etc.) ZZZzzz. Things pick up after they meet with the introduction of the Assembly, but then we get derailed around 50% again when they start having sex and hanging out. ZZZzzz. Finally it picks up again around 70%, but that’s over around 85%, and we coast to the finish line. To review….
0-30%- VERY slow. 🦥
30-50%- Good. 🐇
50-70%- Slow 🐢
70-85% Awesome 🐎
85-100%- ok. 🚶♀️
Bottom Line- It served its purpose… keeping me awake, but there was more down time than I prefer. I won’t be continuing the series.

Yup, I think this one's my favorite in the series so far. I really liked that there was more to the story than just the fated mates. Don't get me wrong, I love the connection between Cian and Evie, but after four books, the romance feels almost the same for each couple. But I still enjoyed it; I'm just looking for something more. Anyway, this delivered on that. It has suspense, action, violence, and a whole lot of gore. Those definitely added to my enjoyment of the book. 🫣
So, there is this group, "the assembly," that was introduced in the storyline. Apparently, this entity wants to wipe out these "otherworld" creatures, and their members were trained pretty well. It was said that they've been around forever, but no one really knows where to find them. I'm curious to learn more about them, even though I know these people are awful. I want to know why they see and do things the way they do. 🤔
But most of all, I'm really excited how these vampires and lycans are going to team up to take down the organization. 🤭
Also, while I know Odhran's book is the sixth one, I already feel invested in his story. From the glimpse here, I could already assume that his mate went through some horrible things. The things the assembly do to the likes of them are so appalling.
Anyway, I'm excited for Adryan's book, he's next. He's such a psycho, and I looove that he finally found his mate. I'm excited to see how she's going to flip his world upside down, and he won't have a clue as to what's coming. 😂

This is the fourth book in The Lycans series and features Cian and Evelyn. Cian is a very old lycan who has been searching for his mate for a very long time. When Darragh (from book 3) is talking to her best friend Evelyn...Cian's wolf immediately recognizes Evelyn as his mate.
Evelyn is young and has never felt complete until Cian came for her and planned to make her his forever. But Evelyn doesn't know anything about the world Cian lives in, what he is and what being a fated mate means. Will Cian track down Evelyn and make her his? Will Evelyn give in to the bond and take hold of her happily ever after? What will come of the darker forces around them scheming?
This series has been such a fun and steamy treat. I enjoyed this fated mates story. It had suspense and adventure with a good dose of romance although I wish the romance had been a little more developed. I think the action and adventure took center stage. Overall, a solid story.

Between keeping Evelyn safe, trying to not scare the crap out of her, wanting to mate and mark her, and find out more about The Assembly, we’re left with suspense, some crazed Vampires, tons of steam, and an HEA with an opening for the next two peoples story for book five!

I'm loving this series and this one could easily be my favorite. When Cian hears Evelyn's voice, he knows that this is his mate and he sets out to show her. And the fact that Evelyn's character isn't one to just roll over is great. I like a female character that can still stand up for herself. I enjoyed watching the relationship develop between these two and love the storyline!

Lycan H/human h
This was probably one I enjoy the most of this series so far. I had kinda written it off before but saw many people talking about Adrian getting his story so I picked up where I ended and so glad I did.
-Possessive H whose a lycan shifter. He’s very protective and I love how he cares for evis. He’s so sweet to her, tells her to eat, blocks her from view from others. Love that about shifters and their mates
- the h is smart and sweet and strong. She gets her tail handed to her a few times but she’s still strong she fights even when odds against her and she’s a foster care kids and I love that she gets a mate like Cian.
-Odhran- a side character but his storyline is kinda set up here so I hope we see him get his HEA at some point in this series
-Interconnecting storyline/drama. In this book we learn about the assembly whose basically taking supernaturals and using them for rich sick peoples fantasies in all types of ways. Their mates are taken to control them or help capture them. This storyline was left open ended so I feel you’ll need the info from this one to maybe understand this as the stories continue on this same line…
-Had some steam but not overly. He does rub his 🥜 into her skin and over her which i always love so 👌🏼👌🏼 for that! He marks her up real nice in a scene that we see her checking in the mirror at the next morning 👏🏼👏🏼 he gives her a little playful booty smack, and licks her top to bottom which I always like bc other books usually don’t have that- and it happens soooo let’s not pretend it doesn’t 👅
-HEA/HFN we don’t see like babies and such but we do get some closure but I feel like since this couple is staying to help odhran that we may see more of them to get more HEA in the future.
I’m excited for Adrian . He’s been someone I’ve been forward to learning about since book 2 when he comes to save his niece from her “feral” mate and everyone is shaking in their boots when he arrives lol.

This was a great story! I really enjoyed the story line and the world the author has built. Cian and Evelyn are destined. Evelyn tries to fight it, but can’t. Lots of steam and romance. Great secondary characters. I really can’t wait for Adryan’s story.

I tried hard to like it and to continue reading but I can’t. I got almost 50% through before putting it down. I felt like everything was very superficial and lacked plot. The writing itself isn’t bad but I just couldn’t jump on board with the story and this is usually a favorite genre of mine. *Spoilers* The MCs haven’t shown any redeemable qualities by 50%. Like the best friend leaves and in 3 days finds her mate and then conveniently her best friend just happens to be the other dudes mate? And is soo cavalier about it. And then the MC half heartedly runs away and then the mate immediately catches her on her first night away and she’s like cool? And barely fights it? And then the typical human led organization who hates supes tries to kidnap the MCs.

Cian & Evelyn's story.... Very exciting & lots of great chemistry between the mates. I was anxious because there are now many open ended storylines within this series and I'm getting so crazy that stuff is left unfinished so far.

We have Adryan finding his mate, we have the baddies called the Assembly, we have Odhran who is now off on his own looking for his mate who has been kidnapped long ago and don't think I forgot about that blood promise Caelan had to make with the witch to protect his mate, Darragh in book #3.

Oohhh.. Hot Lycan alert 😍😍
This one I was excited right from the previous book when Darragh is speaking with her friend, Evelyn and all of a sudden Cian goes crazy over the woman on the phone. AHH.. I couldn't dive into this one fast enough.
It not only had a strong Evelyn who wouldn't just give in because a man says she's his mate. No she makes it difficult for Cian when she comes to know about mates and the bond and how Cian was coming to claim her.
Already tired of doing her mundane job at the bar and saving every penny for her schooling and yet she wants more from life Seeing as her friend Darragh has found her happiness, she also yearns to find her own. When she realised Cian is coming for her, she goes on a adventure of her own.
Cian has been guarding the lycan King's family but is also the alpha and has been living in his quiet and secluded home for centuries now. When he stumbles upon Caelan's mate talking to a female that makes him go crazy, he knows he's found his very own linked connection.
But the twist is when he goes to her place after finding out everything about her, she's nowhere to be found. Cian takes upon this challenge of finding his mate but comes across a conspiracy of unknown people wanting to take his supernatural race. When he and his mate is attacked along with his friend odhran, he saves them but in turn with the help of Adryan goes on to find as to might be behind all this and why are they doing it.
This one had suspense along with the push and pull and freaking hot chemistry between Cian and Evelyn. AHH.. I'm so glad that Evelyn and Cian find happiness in each other. Loved this one. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

This one had suspense along with the push and pull and freaking hot chemistry between Cian and Evelyn. AHH.. I'm so glad that Evelyn and Cian find happiness in each other. Loved this one. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

The Alpha is filled with everything you come to expect from a sexy shifter romance. A larger than life, possessive, over the top, male and a sweet, sassy, albeit clueless to the whole shifter phenomenon, human female.
I adored Cian, he can get all growly and up in my space, any time he wants and I’d say please and thank you 😉. But, there is also a gentle side to the larger than life Lycan that I really enjoyed seeing. Evie was no wallflower. She held her ground and gave as good as she got and when she realized what they had, she was all in.

I have read, and enjoyed, every book to the series so far. This one was just as good as the others.
Like the previous book, the FMC had no idea that other worldly beings existed so she did what any sane person would do when they find out about werewolves and that one of them believes he is her mate - she ran.
Luckily Cian is an amazing tracker.
A new element to this installment in the series is a new threat to the lives of the supernatural community.

Run a little harder
Amazing! This book is absolutely amazing! I love that we got to see these two come together and find their HEA. And the expansion on the overarching storyline is everything I would hope for. I love the danger and excitement, and the overall hotness. And just when I think the author has given me all the stories this series has to give, she gives me five more characters that just have to get their HEAs. There is still one more wolf, and now there are four vampires, yummy! So much alpha dominance in one series. This book was a fantastic read, and I am desperate to see what happens next.

After being alone for centuries Cian finally found his mate, Evelyn. While she was resistant at first Cian didn't give up and finally got his mate. I enjoyed this story and am looking forward to the next one.

So I was excited to see Cian and Evelyn mated but I expected more.
This story took a turn for more interesting storyline with more drama and suspense so it was a fun read.
My issue with this book is I felt the story was more focus on the side characters then the actual main ones.

Book 4 in the Lycans series and it was so good. Loved Evelyn and Cian. You first find out that she is Cian’s mate at the end of the Hunger, and I have been waiting for their story and let me say, I wasn’t disappointed at all. Loved their romance. No matter how far she ran, he was going to find his mate. I am not normally a fan of paranormal romance, but I love anything paranormal that Jenika writes. She has a way to create worlds that will suck you in and not let you go. Loved this and highly recommend this and the whole series.

I am loving this series from Jenika Snow. Really enjoyed this book and it did not disappoint! Already anticipating the next book in the series; I already know it is going to be wonderful especially since it will be Adryan's story who you get to see more of in this book.

Cian Is a Lycan wolf, He Lives in Scotland with the king and his family because he is a family friend and also the kings Guard, He has a best friend called Odhran and they both look out for each other, So One day he heard Caelan's mate talking on the phone and once he was in this same room thats when he found his fated mate which was funny because Caelan thought he was talking about Darragh but it turned out Cian was talking about Evenly who is Darragh's best friend, So now he knows who his mate is that's when he takes a trip with his best friend who comes with him so they can keep each other safe which was sweet, He has to chase Evelyn down and onces he does it makes him feel whole, She gets hurt a couple of times and he takes care of her, He Falls hard for Evelyn
Evelyn is human, She is sweet, kind, caring, strong and looking for a better live, She has a best friend called Darragh who is like a sister to her and they grew up together, She has a sad life growing up because her mum never cared about her and then she got took of her mum while she was young and put into a Children's home so that's where she met Darragh, so they always looked out for each other and once they could get out they both stayed together, She has always felt like there was something is missing but did not know what, Once her best friend tells her what the wolfs and fated mates Evelyn runs because she knows that cian is coming for her, So she goes on a trip and gets saved by Cian which helps her come to enjoy hanging out with him, When She gets hurt its so sweet to sees the way he takes care of her and keeps her safe, She falls for Cain
I really enjoyed seeing how much Evelyn and Darragh look out for each other because in this book you can see the bond that these to have because they are more likes sisters to each other.. I also liked seeing the strong friendship between Cian and Odhran because you can see that they will always look out for each other and always be there for each other too..

Wow i have to say it was Interesting to see Adryan character in this book and to see how he rules his city.. I have to say getting more on his character was creepy because he does not show how he feels or what he is thinking much.. I am looking forward to reading his story because he has been a badass character in the books and it will be Interesting to see if or how he finds love.. You will meet his character in book 2 and in this book too..

Asustada y sin querer afrontar lo que se viene, Evelyn decide huir de la ciudad y emprenden un viaje a carretera que la aleje lo más posible de Cian, cuando por fin se detiene en un motel a descansar. Mientras tanto Cian junto con su amigo Odhran, llegan al país, presentan sus respetos a Adryan, líder vampírico y quién controla esas tierras. Ambos la encuentran en el motel, Cian entra a la habitación mientras ella duerme, pero se despierta al sentir su presencia, ambos se quedan viendo, ella vuelve a huir de la habitación, cuando casi llega a su carro es atacada por humanos, quienes se hacen llamar parte de la organización: La Asamblea. Evelyn y Cian se enfrentan a las personas, mientras Odhran se recupera de la emboscada. Cuando logran deshacerse de todos, los 3 huyen y son recibidos en una casa de seguridad de Adryan. En esa casa, Evelyn y Cian descansan y se reclaman. Al día siguiente él acude con Adryan a averiguar más sobre la Asamblea, quienes por décadas han secuestrado a gente sobrenatural para torturarlos.
Menestras Cian esta fuera, Evelyn y Odhran nuevamente son emboscados y secuestrados en la casa de seguridad, en el camino logran escapar. Cian y Adryan los encuentran y se regresan. Odhran descubre que su pareja puede seguir viva después de años de que la hayan secuestrado, por lo que decide quedarse y seguir buscándola; Cian en apoyo a su amigo tambien se quedara y aunque intenta llevarse a Evelyn a escocia para que esté segura, ella no quiere separarse de él. Por lo que todos se quedan.

Mi opinión: A mi parecer, el libro lo sentí muy muy lento y con una subtrama super innecesaria que lo único que hizo fue alargar la historia. Obvio me preguntaba a mi misma: si estos seres viven cientos de años y tengan cientos de propiedades, ¿Cómo es posible que nadie se haya dado cuenta? Pues si los notaron, y se hacen llamar la Asamblea, pero muy pobre construcción de los personajes, no hay profundidad en ellos. Quizás no profundizan tanto porque lo harán mas adelante, o eso espero. También Cian, quien asegura ser el mejor rastreador de todos, y yo solo veía como los demás lo ayudaban, lo que derrumbaba su supuesta capacidad.

A Return to the Stalker-ish OTT Tale I Crave from Jenika Snow…
After the bland, placeholder-esque tale that was book three of Jenika Snow’s, The Lycan series, I was worried this saga would suffer the fate of so many others I have read where each successive book gets milder and less interesting with each new series installment. However, here with “The Alpha”, Snow returns to the more daring, unapologetic, obsession filled alpha male with barely restrained stalker level possessive tendencies where his mate is concerned. The type of larger-than-life alpha male that makes her paranormal fated-mate, insta-everything, "You are mine no matter what" story frameworks into the dark and butterfly inducing tales I have come to crave from her.
Here, Snow drops us back into her testosterone packed story world of the Scottish lycans with the story of Evelyn and Cian. Starting almost immediately where the last book ends, with Evelyn on the run after learning what it means from best friend Darragh to be targeted as the fated mate of an Otherworldly creature. In this case Cian, the full lycan head of King Banner’s guard and expert tracker, who vows to hunt his mate no matter the cost. A being driven almost to madness to capture the woman fate marked as his.
What follows is something that may not appeal to everyone as it is darker, more fast-paced and intense than her typical sexy as sin, over-the-top, mega alpha fare. Here she returns to a love story that is messy, gritty, full of more complicated grey areas, and far more passionate and emotionally intriguing. One of your grandmother’s vanilla Harlequins this is not, as here with Evie and Cian’s story is a gorgeously written suspense filled tale steeped in an old-world gothic feel, heart pounding danger, and stubborn, broody maleness. Oh, and you also get a more in-depth peek at the spine-tingling vampire, Adryan. The sociopathic brother of King Banner's mate we first met in book two, and the subject of Snow’s next installment in the series (one I cannot wait to dive into)!
This one is a wonderful return to the wildly paced emotional rollercoaster I love from this author. It is an almost deranged story of obsessive need and uncontrollable desire, all wrapped up in a level of soap opera worthy intrigue that will hold your attention hostage from start to finish.

Not going to lie I appreciate Jenika Snow created a world of sexy male virgins who have absolute loyalty to their fated mates. Talk about an ideal reality. And she completely has ruined real men for me.
This romance story didn't grab me like the others, and I found myself more interesting in the side characters' future stories. Overall I liked Evelyn and Cian, but I felt their book set up a lot of other storylines. Cian cooking her breakfast and his general possessiveness was cute. Given he's described as ruthless, I loved that he's so gentle with Evelyn, made me fangirl a ton.
The assembly had me shocked!! I was like, monster hunters what a plot twist. And then I remembered that Oghran's mate was taken and I thought maybe these are the culprits. This organization added drama and action. The whole last section of the book kept me on the edge of my seat.
I'm so happy Adryan has a book. Everyone describes him as batshit crazy. And I can't wait to read about the woman who will bring him to his knees. Plus it's hinted that he's got a naughty piercing too 😏. And he has a dog, how bad can he be.
"‘no woman should be forced tae dress in oversize sweats. If yer mate canna provide, I’m at yer service.’” Adryan is a total savage and had me dying of laughter. His book is going to be amazing 😂.
But I also wonder if his cold demeanor is an act; "I wondered if they were a testament to Adryan and who he was, what he felt inside. A subconscious visual that showcased the lack in his life."
