Homeless boys like me aren't built for relationships.
When we're not fighting for a spot under the bridge, we're volunteering at homeless shelters for a spare bed.
Finding a protector isn't in the cards.
Everything changes when Dr. Gianluca Ferrari—the cardiologist who's like God in my shelter—catches me after I faint in his arms.
I was coloring pretty butterflies in a walk-in freezer, and I must've forgotten to eat lunch.
Dr. Gianluca prescribes rest and he gives me a room in his Manhattan penthouse overlooking Central Park to sleep in.
I've had a crush on him ever since I started volunteering at this shelter last year, but I've never made a move because he's straight.
When Dr. Gianluca calls me his sweet boy… I wonder if he's not as straight as I think.
Can this man be my new Daddy?
My Straight Mafia Daddy follows an Italian mob doctor who likes to cuddle, a homeless nineteen-year-old boy with a heart of gold, an adorable stuffy named Snuggles, and a super-sweet guaranteed HEA! It continues the suspense plot with the Diavolo brother's warehouse from Book 1.
You know, this book was quite terrible, but I'm giving it 2⭐, because it made me laugh so damn hard, I can't even tell you. I'm reading this book as a part of my reading goal of reading 1 book/month completely out of my comfort zone.
COPYPASTA, my friends. That's what this was. An exact and complete replica of the 1st book in the series, down to the very last detail.
The Daddy MC is straight for only a hot minute and he can't stop mentioning his terrible ex and how she crushed him. Gianluca's an esteemed doctor in a top hospital, combined with being a mob doctor and he volunteers at an lgtb youth shelter, where he's usually escorted in a limousine. Yes. Let all of them homeless kids see what they've been missing out on.
Now, Rusty is a 20 - year old homeless kid, who's been crushing on our straight doctor and he's also a Little. He's living on the streets by the Hudson river, where he has a corner all by himself, he bathes naked in the river while the constantly mentioned hobos are watching him- yes, it's hobos this, hobos that, I googled it, hobos as in homeless people, which was Rusty himself aswell, or migrants - so he's over there bathing himself and his stuffie in the Hudson while these homeless guys are having a 10-person orgies next door. Sure, fine.
Doctor Daddy then has a very, very interesting bi-awakening. First of all, he too has a penthouse apartment overlooking the Central Park this time. He's not thinking about Rusty at all, and then suddenly Rusty awakens his "inner Daddy".
"Never in my life did I expect another man's twig and berries to arouse me, but it does."
So in the first book the asshole was a berry, now the dick and balls are twig and berries. Got it! 😄
"I can't. The fact that this boy doesn't live in a penthouse with servants ticks me off."
Yeah, it ticks him off Rusty has no servants!!! Damn!
Every malnourished, hairless boy - (I kid you not) - should have his penthouse!
That's what all the Little's have in this series. They're all malnourished, hairless twinks with small dicks, broke and, I'll say, incapable of eating anything else than heaps of ice cream and drink tons of milk. They never have an adult conversation and the main topic is their stuffie, where they stick their dicks into.
Yes, didn't you know?? Rusty also has a plushie where he stick his dick! I mean, who would've guessed??
Doctor Daddy examines Rusty and then decides he'll take him to his home right that instant.Sound familiar? Rusty lives at his apartment, while they wait for a very long time to discuss what is expected of Rusty. This guy drinks milk too, but - plot twist - it's strawberry!
"Gianluca squirts strawberry syrup into the milk and stirs it with his pinky."
Yeah, I'll pass. Oh, but it gets better.
Rusty's likely only seen Parmesan cheese in plastic containers before. It's terrible because that's not even authentic Parmesan from the Parma region of Italy. It's basically inedible. "I only buy the kind you grate." My voice is fierce. "You never, ever need to worry about eating pre-shredded Parmesan cheese with me again. If it doesn't cost a small fortune, you won't put it in your mouth."
You won't EVER have to eat pre-shredded cheese again, Rusty, EVER! What a fucking disgrace you even had to!
In the meantimeDoctor Daddy takes Rusty to the Little's club - again, they have a sweet breakfast, he buys him clothes and Rusty takes home something from the club - exactly the same thing that happened in the first book.
Christian grins as he lifts the dino. "This is Cuddleofagus. My daddy Nikolai picked him out for me last year when we got together."
Christian was one of the Little's from the club. Where are these ideas coming from? What mushrooms grow where this writing occured?Important questions.
Weird things are happening in that expensive Little's club. Or is that normal? I don't know, but hear me out.
A boy in a unicorn onesie waddles over to us. "I agree." He brushes a strand of blond hair from his forehead. "This is the truck that keeps Little Land safe from fires. If any close-minded arsonists try to burn it down, your truck will blast them with its big hose." The boy pulls his pants down and whips his dick out. "Wee ooh wee ooh." He moves his dick back and forth. "Stay away bigots! My fire hose will blast you to smithereeens!"
Wow indeed.
This book had stiff dialogues, stiff in a bad way this time. Sentences repeating, characters with no personality, no real conversations, nothing was good here, objectively speaking.
The Little's are always repeating one sentence and this has been throughout 2 books now - "You're joking." It appears this is the height of the conversation, it's about all the Little's can manage to say.
🌶️ The spice wasn't spicing in this book. There was little of it and it wasn't really well developed. We know all about the stuffie and the blowjobs Rusty is getting, but that's it. It didn't work and anything that did happen was exactly the same as in the first book.
I'll leave you with a bit of Doctor Daddy's dirty talk here and you can decide for yourself.
With a groan, I lick his lips into a kiss. "Fuck yes, boy. I'll grate that motherfucking cheese until it covers your whole plate."
I mean, at this point I'm actually going to recommed this book to someone, because it's too damn hilarious.
🔵 And a serious topic I want to adress.
Rusty was shunned from his home for being gay and a Little and Daddy has an interesting take on this, considering he's an Italian.
The author states that
"In Europe, fathers are never this hurtful when their child comes out of the closet. Unless they're from ultra conservative families, they accept their sons and daughters with open arms."
"Europeans view sexual identity as more fluid instead of a fixed thing that requires a parent to cut off contact because a child's attractions don't align with what the parent wants."
That is not the case. Europe is not a homosexual utopia, where everything is "fluid" and accepted. I can tell you it's not like this at all, because I live here. That's all I'm going to say about this topic, although it could be developed further, but this is not the place.
I had a blast reading this book, despite of my low rating, it was fun reading it, I haven't laughed so hard in a longer time, safe to say.
I'm going for the last book in the series and it's a character that actually interests me, it's Benedetto, the tallest, oldest brother, and this is what he says;
"My last boy might've broken up with me because I'm fluffy, but I pack hella strength underneath these rolls." 😆😆
So, haha, let's see what Benedetto says. I honestly hope he doesn't have the same exact story.
This was a rather insta love type book. That wasn’t even the problem. The problem was the fact that both MC’s kept repeating over and over again how poor Rusty was. And how bad his life was. We understood the first 40% how poor he was no need to keep reminding us. That and his descriptions on things like the Hobos and how in Europe the fathers weren’t hurtful to their gay sons. On what planet is he from. The author really needed to do some truth research. The upset at the movie was ridiculous also. Just overall what the heck book
Gianluca is a mafia doctor that co owns The Little Bunny Club with his brothers. There he meets Rusty, a homeless boy in need of care and nurturing. My Straight Mafia Daddy was a fun read. Lower on the steamy side but overall, a good read.
Rusty is homeless. He volunteers at the shelter in hopes of a bed. He sees Gianluco there and it's love. Gio volunteers at the shelter were he sees Rusty. This too is love at first sight. Fate works hard for these two.
The description of homeless people is very weird in this book. Rusty is described as an angel who can do no wrong, but every other homeless person is a "dirty hobo" who has "hobo orgies" under the bridge (what) and watches porn on the library's computer. Also, the author repeats themselves a lot, it got tiresome quickly.
Miss. It was again at the 14% mark that I realized the ridiculous was going to be a thing. At 34 % I was questioning life decisions. I had such high hopes for this book, thinking Aster would take the reviews of the 1st book to heart and course correct. That was not the case, sooooo with that being said...
The pros: I 10 toes down love the characters (main and secondary) in the story. They were the reason I kept reading past 50% when I was just ready to not care how the story ended.
The cons: the promise on the blurb just doesn't really get fulfilled. The inconsistencies in the book and series are distracting. The classism (and low key raecysm) feels off for Constantine as a person and Daddy. And for Rusty it creates a whiplash effect while reading the story.
You are supposed to believe Constantine is a badass Mafia doctor, who's family has yours to weapons running, but at the same time can't stomach Rusty 's situation? And Rusty himself seems to look down on his neighborhood, gotten street smarts from his experiences, and be this completely naive person. It's enough to give someone whiplash.
Something just didn't sit right with the way Constantine's family "pushed" him towards looking for a male partner. It felt like it tap danced on a consent violation. Speaking of, Rusty letting people play with his firetruck also felt like a consent violation.
Overall, finishing this book felt like "in for a penny, in for a pound". I you can fight though and just have to have a resolution, go ahead and finish the series. However, if you couldn't even make it past this books 14% then walk away.
Homeless Rusty volunteers at the homeless shelter to try and get a spare bed else he has to sleep under a bridge. Italian mob doctor Dr Gianluca Ferrari is a cardiologist and he volunteers at the same shelter as Rusty. Rusty was colouring in a walk-in freezer and probably forgot to eat lunch too and so when Gianluca finds him to talk Rusty keels over into his arms. Gianluca takes him to his Manhattan penthouse to stay in his spare room to monitor him. Rusty has crushed on him for years but he always thought he was straight but now he is not so sure. Can this man be Rusty's new Daddy?
I liked this story with the determined doctor who just could not keep himself under control around Rusty, and the determined Little who knew who and what he wanted, he just needed to find a way to get himself there. I did find it a little weird how easily Gianluca adapted to being in a committed MM relationship and how much he liked the taste of Rusty when he was pleasuring him. Easy to read and understand. This is an MM BDSM-like DDLB relationship story.
The storyline from the first book continues as another Ferrari brother finds his boy. Dr. Gianluca always thought he was straight but couldn't help noticing the cute little redhead at the shelter they both volunteer at. Rusty noticed the hot doctor two years ago but never thought he had a chance. Gianluca needs Rusty's help with a business matter but can't help wanting to be his Daddy. Cute and fun with a twist or two. I'm looking forward to Benedetto finding his boy next.
Awe Rusty is the sweetest! Dr. Daddy saves the day. Although my mind kept calling him Gian Carlo (darn baseball fan brain) Always great to see all the Mafia boys making a new friend! Looking forward to the third book as Benedetto kinda holds my heart as a daddy. A fluffy ready bear 🐻
Gianluca and Rusty's story was written and developed brilliantly. Aster Rae has such a way with words that he writes from the heart. My Straight Mafia Daddy is by far my favorite book. When poor Rusty is down Gianluca is there to catch him, he loves him with his whole heart. I just love how all the characters in the book are there for each other.
This book grabs you from the beginning. Gianluca thinks he's a straight doctor but he can't deny his feelings for a homeless man that colors butterflies. Rusty had a rough life being kicked out of his home at sixteen, dealing with the street and surviving. But he needs his Daddy to save him from the one person who should have protected him but failed.
With some sorrow... Boy find daddy Daddy who is straight finds boy....Sorrow comes when he finds out about his real dad.... And his real is a price of work.. I have enjoyed the series...
I left a questionable review for book one. Even though this one still does ‘recap’ more then it should, there was a ‘villain’ to make it better then the first.
I enjoyed this more, so I thought it only fair to leave a comment too.
This story & series is a tad different from the other mafia stories from this same author in that there is less violence which is ok I like both they all have love and cuddles!!!! Thank you -Lori
I’m so excited about this story. I was overwhelmed with the whole experience of this love story and how they found their own happiness with each other.
It definitely wasnt this authors best work. They kept referring to how the Daddy was straight which i knowwas the title but he didn't really connect with each other well.
