As the shrine priest, omega Enry’s matehood is prized and sought after by the less-than-eligible alphas of his secluded human village. It’s the night of the claiming competition, and just when it seems like Enry’s fate is decided, a winged figure appears in the moonlit sky. It’s been decades since one of these revered beings visited Silver Mountain—have Enry’s prayers to be swept off his feet by an alpha dragon finally been answered?
A vacation to a mountain hot springs, they said. It would be fun, they said. Crashing a sacred ceremony and ending up mated to an overly adoring, dragon-obsessed omega was not how the commitment-phobic alpha fire drake Layne expected to spend a trip with his flight brothers. Charged with a week to test their arranged marriage, Layne is more than reluctant about Enry’s crazy insistence they’re fated mates bound by the spirits of the mountain. But when a mysterious power leaves him intoxicated by this strange human, Layne finds his defenses on the back-burner—no matter how badly he wants to resist.
Fated With Firelight is the sixth book in the Dragon Firefighters mpreg series. It expands on the characters and story introduced in the previous books, and while it can be enjoyed as a standalone it’s highly recommended you read the preceding books first. This book features fire, thunder, and ice dragons (and a surprise), a reluctant arranged marriage, fated mates, sacred priests and naughty shrine visits, hot spring bath fun, orphans and babies, a wild wedding night, renewed love, a touch of cozy mystery, ancient dragon magic, an industrial fantasy setting, and as always, a happily ever after!
Fun characters, page turning action, unique settings and of course, steamy, heart-pounding gay romance are all staples in an Ashe Moon Mpreg novel. All of Ashe's books are standalone but take place within shared universes (Shifter and Non-Shifter respectively), building upon each other to create an exciting journey for you!
All books contain lots of heat! Mature readers only!

I loved this one and I'm happy we got more dragons (and omega ones, how convenient LOL) so I'm guessing next book is Thran and Baleon... but one tiny piece of information from the prologue left me intrigued: Enry said there was an older alpha, son of a merchant or something who was an arborist and he saw him kneeling at the forest and doing something presumably sexual to a tree, and I kept thinking about this A LOT when it was mentioned that the forest dragons kinda disguised themselves as trees... it planted the idea in my head that the arborist knew about the forest dragons and he could be in a relationship with one. I hope this seed that was planted in my mind will bear fruits (cause I hate when void information is given)
☇☇☇☇The drop on a roller coaster. ☇☇☇☇ This addition to the Dragon Firefighters series was rough to get through. The story was a giant information dump whose only purpose was to set the stage for the books that followed.
Questions I asked myself while reading: Where's the relationship? Maybe I missed the part where they were supposed to actually like each other, should I go back and check? Does Enry care about anything other than these fucking spirits? So Layne's a breeding Stud? When the fuck did they fall in love?
And these were only the beginning of a long line of shit that made no sense. Enry existed in his world and everyone was a supporting character to him. It's hard to picture him as anything else than a selfish, self-serving, naive young man with a fetish for Dragons. There was no romance between Enry and Layne. I am certain that any dragon would have done it for Enry, Layne was just the unlucky victim of his attention. Enry fetishizes Layne in a way that makes me feel uncomfortable. Every thought Enry had could be tied to Layne being an alpha dragon and his dream of being mated to one. He wants to be fucked while Layne is in his dragon form and fantasizes about his scales and the heat of his skin and how he looks in his half-shifted form. While this would be okay in normal shifter romance settings, where it gets creepy for me is the absence of Enry wanting Layne as the person he is. He doesn't care about Layne's emotions, asks no questions non-dragon related, and completely ignores Laynes struggles with his fading culture and heritage as a Gular dragon. It was like watching Feeder with a 600-pound girlfriend. Everyone knows why they are really there but you can't stop the train wreck from happening. This book didn't add anything to the series. It could have been skipped altogether and mentioned in passing at a different point in time.
This is Layne and Enry's story. Layne is the leader of the Brandy Oak Fireflight. Shen who is mated to Marin discovers there may be a magical source that will help the flights travel between Old Port and Brandy Oak almost instantaneously. They must travel to Silver Mountain Springs to research and discover the "source". Silver Mountain is a hot springs resort, with a shrine dedicated to dragons. Enry is the shrine keeper, a human alpha who dreams of falling in love with a dragon like his ancestors did. The Shrine and mountain resort has been slowly dying and the springs are drying up. No dragons have visited in years, and it is now time for Enry to find a mate to carry on the tradition. Desparate not to have to accept a human alpha, especially his best friends, Oscar and Milos, he accidentally sabotages his mating ceremony, almost setting the forest surrounding the shrine on fire. At the same time Layne and his flight are flying overhead to the resort, for research and a much needed vacation, especially Raka who is heavily pregnant with Delos' egg. Layne doing what a fire dragon does, stops the fire before it starts, but somehow manages to get "mated" to Enry for his efforts. I really enjoyed this story, much more world building, and new characters are introduced, and family ties are solidified. There is also a secret about the forest, but you'll have to read it to find out, because it definitely leads to the next book.
I really enjoyed reading this highly entertaining Mpreg shifter romance and it does have a slight touch of humor in it, my attention was captured by the very interesting plot and well-written storyline (best of all it can easily be read as a standalone) I found the characters really fascinating with regards to the difference in species & sizes with little or no fiction between them. The secondary characters offer good support throughout the storyline. It is about: a male human shine priest (Enry) from Silver Mountain Hot Springs was definitely not looking forward to being claimed in a competition/arranged marriage by one of the inadequate alphas of his human village (Stonville) then a male dragon shifter firefighter (Layne) somehow manages to gatecrash the competition and promptly finds himself mated to Enry and from here the story begins. There is: dragon shifters, mischievous young dragons, humans, competitions, mates, fate, mystery, magic, drama, friendship, comradery, sacred rituals, family issues, secrets, some intrigue, mild suspense, unusual events, complications, surprises, confrontation, misunderstanding, compromises, steamy scenes, love & a delightfully, sweet epilogue. Naturally, I would recommend this book (& the series) to people who enjoy reading this genre.
Layne comes off as a easy going dragon who is happy they way things are. A family vacation changes everything.
Enry is a young shrine-keeper is dreading the Night of the Dragon celibration. He knows that it is his duty, however he has been praying to the Spirits to send him a dragon too help save the his mountain and his village.
Fate has played its hand and Layne meet, and are declaired mates. Now all Enry has to do is convince Layne of this fact. As the week goes on they get closer and closer, and the mountain is coming back to life. When it comes time for Layne and Enry to go separate ways, they both realize just how much they mean to each other.
This story has all that it needed to make you feel the guantlet of emotions, the most overwhelming of those being happiness at the end. A must read, a wonderful addition to a fantastic series.
From Old Shore Port to Brandy Oak the Dragon Firefighters keep on growing. Their family has grown to more than any of them could expect. Layne from the Brandy Oak station never wanted kids. He likes his life the way it is. But then in walks this small little boy who takes residence up in his heart and he just can’t say no. So vacation time it is. When Layne accidentally becomes a part in a marriage ceremony he’s lost as to why now he has a mate he doesn’t want. Enry is the shrine keeper and wants to marry a dragon not these lifeless men who have no clue and definitely not his best friends. So when a dragon grabs his lantern he is in heaven. His prayers have been answered. Or have they? Will Enry become part of this expanding family? Or, will Layne give him up? It’s a great story with a little bit of mystery tucked in. It’s a 5 star ⭐️ rating for me 💜
3.5 stars I loved that this book felt like new world, with it's own lore that intertwined with what we already knew. Beginning was funny and the ending heartwarming. But middle of the book was kinda boring. Huge chunks of lore and rituals and traditions dropped and I don't think every one of them was relevant to what happens in the book. and in Enry's pov he hardly gave any thought to Layne. his mind was full with traditions, history, work, rituals, doubts about his parent's relationship. there was hardly place for Layne to slip in. Enry even didn't take seriously Layne's words about leaving the mountain in 7 days. he was like "yeah, say what you want, but spirits brought you here so you will stay, im sure" maybe i will rethink and change rating to 4 stars later, but for now it's 3.5 rounded to 3.
Eryn as the shrine-keeper needs to choose or be chosen by a mate and reproduce. He is not looking forward to it given the available alphas in his town/area. Layne and his flight come to their area for a vacation and fact finding trip to the springs there and he winds up rescuing the mating lantern which connects him to Eryn. He does not realize it at first but this connection is as good for him and his flight as it is for Eryn who has met the dragon shifter of his dreams, almost literally. They get to know one another and not only are they good for one another their mating has a positive impact on those connected to them and to the mountain/springs. Lovely, positive story. I received an ARC for an honest review.
Spectacular give me fourteen of these🤭‼️🔥 this one is my fav out of this series🤌🏾‼️, It had everything, If anything I wish it was longer. Layne and Fyl warmed my heart hleng🥺🥺🥺🥺.
If I had one thing to complain about, it is that Smex Scene, where layne was in that State of Half Dragon, half human, I WANTED MORE🤭😩‼️ we jus skated past it so quickly😩😩😩
I loved this book hleng 😩 How it started the humor was top tier😂😂😂 man really Flew in to his wedding✋🏾😂, The found family trope, Enry Finally leaving that place to discover and learn more about the world and himself outside of his duty as a shrine keeper
Enry is worried about his upcoming mating ceremony as he wants none of alphas available. Omega Enry is the current shrine keeper at the Silver Mountain Hot Spring where the Source feeds the hot springs and soon will be the Night of the Dragon the ceremony that will choose his mate. The only alphas available are his two best friend who he regards as brothers or a few unsavoury alphas from the village, so Enry prays for a miracle. An enjoyable and entertaining tale of answered prays, gaining knowledge and romance. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
DRAGON FIREFIGHTERS Book #6 is full of new exciting adventures. Layne is going to find his true strength and weakness. Enry is a gate keeper on a magical mountain. Being found by the Dragon flight was a prayer and honor. This adventure has the full flight looking for answers. Layne is grateful for his new growth. I've got Book #7 ready to crack open. Can't wait to see what's next. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK AND THIS FANTASTIC DRAGON FIREFIGHTERS SERIES!!!!!!!
I voluntarily read and ARC for this book. I couldn't wait to see who Layne would be matched with, I knew that it would have to be someone that wouldn't put up with his attitude and was I right. Enry was everything that I had hoped for and more, sweet and sunshiny, and every hopeful. I love him! Add in a little bit of a mystery, a found family that you just want to be a part of and a happily ever after that has you waiting for the next book.
This is another great book to read with dragons and humans. Layne does not believe he is the one to help. Enry is hoping for a dragon to mate and help with bringing the shrine back to life. The more time Layne and Enry spend together the closer they get. Will Layne help Enry??? Will Layne leave at the end of the seven days????
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
. . . É uma leitura F(. . .), desculpe pela palavra, eu amei 🖤. . . Amei! . . Boa Leitura 😘
Enry and Layne are a nice change of pace in the story line. It would be awesome if Baleon mates with the forest omega who pinned him lol ;) I wish there were more dragon series like this one. It really draws you in and was un-put-downable! Recommend this book and series and this author for a nice break from reality!
A really enjoyable instalment in this series and a little different to the previous books.
Both characters complimented one another and the discovery that Enry is the source was lovely. I was happy to see that Layne finally accepted that Frel was his.
This one was a truly trilling and magical story! Ashe Moon has built an amazing world of wonders and with this book I truly felt a part of it. Beautiful scenery and amazing characters! This book is a must read!
This is another amazing addition to this series. I love Enry and Layne! These two are such amazing characters. These two are perfect for each and I am so happy. Ashe Moon has made such an amazing world that I just love it so much.
Amazing! This series takes me away to a world of dragons and magic, this book filled my heart with warmth with its sweet love story. There was mystery, love, sexiness, and everything I wanted in a book . loved it and can not wait for more!
It kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time I was reading.I could have been a little fly so I could experience the whole story through my eyes.Thank you again for an awesome story.
I loved this world since book 1. I love who there world is expanding around the firefighters as they find their mates. Plus the way they all have become family. Can't wait for book 7.
Enry is the Singer for the Spirits of the Source. He is the power behind Silver Mountain hot springs. Layne is the dragon that mates with him and sets off a new future for everyone.
I was intrigued by Layne at first, but the beginning of this one dragged. I liked the mystery element the author introduced into the story, which helped a lot in speeding up the plot a little. I love Frel A LOT so I'm glad to see him happy.
I'm uncertain how to rate this one. It's probably my least favorite of the series so far. I was a little spooked. I didn't exactly sign up for suspense, but that's what I got. It wasn't bad, just not what I expected.
