Just about every resident of Danby Cove.

Books that have influenced me the most as a child were Nancy Drew, Anne of Green Gables, and Little House on the Prairie. I'm a huge fan of Jane Austen. I love reading children's picture books as well as any novels that have pictures as an integral feature (such as Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children). I love well-written Regency Romance and mysteries. I love just about anything that has a hint of romance and a happy ending!

omg!! I have not read a thriller/mystery book in sooooo long!! When I found this book, I was immediately hooked in from the start🙌 I was honestly super shocked about how well everything was planned out in the book!! I didn’t see anything coming!! It kept me on edge the entire time, and for the first thriller/mystery book I’ve read in a long time, it definitely got me roped back into these kinds of books again!

As for the main character of the book, Rachel, she was written so well and so we’re all the other characters. The main plot of this book is Rachel trying to solve a murder that happened 28 years ago after she starts seeing the girl that supposedly went missing. Don’t worry this NOT a spoiler for the book, it’s in the description:) With the help of her friends, she tries to figure out why the ‘ghost girl’ chose her to help solve her murder/disappearance in the first place, and believe me there is a lot of things about this book that doesn’t meet the eye at first but the more you get into it the harder it is to put down!! I was up until 2am reading this book and the next day I was so excited to pick it up and read it some more!!!!

This book is honestly one of the best thriller/mystery books I’ve ever read!! It’s very unique and thrilling. Each chapter is better than the last and I’m so so so happy I was able to read this!!🫶🏻❤️

Special Note: I was given this ARC book for my own personal review.

Emmaline Rose writes very well. I like the characters and am pleased with how well they interact with one another. I feel sorry for Rachel as I think she's neglected by her overambitious parents. The nightmares certainly don't help and who wants to be stalked by a ghost in your dreams or see her when you're out and about with your friends? It's certainly out of the ordinary. She has some great friends who are more like family to her than her own family!

I think this book will be a good hit with the YA audience. I wouldn't mind reading more of Emmaline Rose's work, but I hope she branches out to adult fiction, so I won't feel weird about checking out YA books.

For a YA thriller this book was VERY good! It held my attention the entire time and it was never boring. Something was always happening that kept you wanting more! The only thing that knocked my rating down a star was I predicted the ending from a mile away, at about the halfway mark. I didn’t feel there were any major plot twist towards the end which I really enjoy in thrillers. Now again, it was young adult. Well written story, I’ve never read a thriller with ghosts so I found this story to be unique!

This book was engaging and I read this in one sitting, unfortunately, I guessed the ending at around the half way mark and found myself mentally yelling at the characters to realise who it was, so the plot twist was thus, a bit of a letdown.
The dialogue also occasionally felt awkward, forced and stilted, especially if it was from Rachel, where it came off as quite immature sometimes.
Her secret was also really underwhelming, considering she constantly thought of it.

However, I would definitely recommend this book, and think it's actually quite underrated.

Very well enjoyed!

This book read very well and kept me engaged the entire time. Although I had a hunch whodunnit I feel it didn't ruin the rest of the book for me. I think this is the first book I have read where the protagonist was helped by a ghost that they could actually see and I have read a lot of books haha . Hmm.... very unique in its kind in my opinion. If you run across this book I highly recommend reading it(:

I enjoyed reading this book but felt there were a lot of loose ends that weren’t tied up at the end. I also found myself yelling at the main character since it seemed pretty obvious who the murder suspect was. But overall I enjoyed this book and would read a sequel about additional crimes Rachel, Daniel, Kyle and crew solve.

I really enjoyed this YA thriller. We follow Rachel as she tries to uncover who killed Lizzie, whose ghost she has been seeing. Great book!

This is the typical storyline for YA mystery.
While it didn’t pull me in to devour the book, I still enjoyed the story line which is a comfort genre for when I’m in a reading slump.

I suspected who the villain may have been but there were parts of the book that lead you down a different path to believe it may be someone else.
