A steamy short read featuring a curvy heroine and the huge alien who changes everything!
Maria My day isn't going well. Correction. My life isn't going well. My cat's gone missing, I've just been fired and my boyfriend's sent me a text saying he's hooked up with my boss.
So, when I wake up with what I think is a really bad hangover, I dismiss the massive purple alien warrior standing in front of me as a hallucination. Except he's very real, very big and unbelievably bossy. He has three days to be able to pass as human in order to escape a death sentence.
And apparently I'm the only one who can teach him...
I'm Jessa Joy and I write about curvy women and the alpha men who can't resist them. Short, steamy and upbeat is the name of the game. I hope you (like me) enjoy a guaranteed Happy Ever After! Whether you're into office, holiday or second chance romance, hot billionaires, small town shenanigans or enemies to lovers intrigue, I'm here to fulfil your reading desires!
Maria has been having a rough time. Her mom has been missing for over a year; her cat is missing; she was just fired from her job; and her boyfriend broke up with her over a text message telling her that he is in love with her old boss, who just fired her. What else can go wrong?
She comes home one night after having some drinks with her friend to find an alien who needs her help. At first, she is freaked out and says no, but ends up changing her mind.
These two were so cute together. I love how protective T'zak was of Maria; he didn't want her crappy ex or anyone else to hurt her.
While trying to help T'zak, they both start to fall for each other. But what happens when he has to go back to his home planet?
I loved this book. It was a quick, fun read. Maria was having a terrible day- fired from her job, her boyfriend breaking up with her to be with her boss, her mother missing for a year. She wakes up from a hangover to see a purple alien standing before her asking her to teach him how to pass as a human. If he cannot do so within three days, he will be put to death. I was captivated by the storyline. I liked the characters. I thought T'zak was sweet. I think this book would even be fun expanded into a longer story (where he's given more time to pass his test) just so we can see him interacting with and experiencing more human situations and customs and have more time to develop T'zak and Maria's relationship. But even being as short as it was, this story felt complete and well thought out. This is the fist book I've read by this author and hope they will continue to write more sci-fi romance. I'd love to read more. 5 stars.
This was a quick and enjoyable book and the characters antics together had me laughing in moments and then sad in others. Maria’s life cannot get any worse, first her mother is missing than her cat and to top it off her boyfriend texts her say it’s over and that he is seeing her boss Lidia, so what’s a girl to do she gets drunk to drowning her sorrows and now wakes up with a huge hangover and with a huge purple alien standing over her and straight away she believes it’s from her hangover but it’s not he is real and is asking for her help. T’zak is here on earth as his last chance to learn how to be a human within 3 days or he is put to death and with the elders also here on earth to watch and assess him and that just makes it harder for Maria to not want to help. But over the 3 days Maria never thought she could fall in love but she has and it seems that T’zak has fallen for Maria. Does T’zak pass his test and if so can he stay on earth and have a future with Maria or not. Great book.

Absolutely loved this!! Maria was having a really bad day, fired from her job and dumped by her boyfriend (for her boss!) She went home to find her cat and mum still missing then wakes up to a huge purple alien standing over her! T’Zak has come to earth for a test, he needs Maria’s help to pass as human in 3 days or he will be put to death!! This story was fun with laugh out loud parts. T’Zak and Maria had amazing chemistry and lots of love! They were true soulmates. Wonderful story with unexpected twists and a beautiful HEA.

Maria was having one of those days where everything in her life seems to be going wrong. Lost cat, lost job, boyfriend breaking up to hook up with her boss. So finding a gigantic purple alien in her bedroom is not immediately alarming. A bad hangover can cause these apparitions. But T’zak tells her he has 3 days to pass for human or he will be put to death. No pressure, but can she do it? And does she get to keep him if he passes the test… the real one, not the one they thought he was taking?
This wonderful short will keep you entertained and laughing. I laughed and cried with Maria as she fell in love and went through her ups and downs. This short read is exactly what you need as a palate cleanse whenever you need that quick getaway. I cannot wait to see if there will be more set in this world and if more characters will get their own stories.

Must love coffee and cats! Maria (h) is having on of those days - fired and her boyfriend has broken up with her. Then she wakes up in the middle of the night to find a purple alien, T'zak (H), in her bedroom asking her for help. T’zak needs to learn how to pass for a human or he'll be killed in three days - luckily for him it's instant attraction between the two. Fun alien romance quickie with an HEA for all.
A sweet story about a purple 7 foot alien sent to Earth to see if he can pass a test on how to be human. Maria had a lot to drink so when she sees a purple person in her bedroom she thinks she's dreaming. I love the story, it was so different than any other Sci-Fi romance that I've read. Maria and T'zak are so cute together. Very enjoyable story.

This is a new twist to the usual stories Jessa Joy writes and I think she knocked out of the park. I am hesitant on reading Alien stories because sometimes it becomes too weird for me, but Maria and T'zak romance was a sweet story where their love grew from a friendship as she tried to help him fit it.
Amazing story to lose yourself in.

Maria meets T'zak on the worst day of her life. While she is concerned about how her life is going, she only wants to help T'zak deal with his obligations. If he fails, death is the result. The author has taken an idea that could be book sized and in as few words as possible, for the flow to be smooth, has made a short story that rivals longer stories for all the twists and bends contained in the storyline. Wel worth the short time it takes to read.

He needs a teacher to pass a test in three days or die. The true test is a surprise. However Maria and T'zak fall in love and the truth about the test and her origins comes out. It is a quick sweet story.
This was a really sweet story about a protective reverent alien and his human choice. I really liked this story. It was a nice twist to a heart wrenching premise. I enjoyed the characters and the unlikable characters were very unlikable!!.

This was an easy read but it was kind of strange. The premise is interesting but the added drama about Maria's ex wasn't needed. The whole story was rushed and there really isn't a lot to it. Characters are interesting and the idea is good but there wasn't enough to it.

Jessa’s books are quick reads that are fun, sweet, steamy, light and have a great HEA. Maria is having the worst day possible - her Mum and cat are missing, she’s just lost her job and her boyfriend broke up with her. It’s easy to understand that she thought T’zak was just a dream.

In my opinion, the book is interesting! It's the first novel with an alien that I've read, although there are several references to this type of plot in other novels. It was an interesting read and I enjoyed it. The main character may be an alien but, he is just as protective and caring as a human! 5 stars.

Maria was having such a horrible week, then out of the blue, a big purple alien showed up! When T'zak asked for her help, she couldn't refuse. The twists and turns made it just perfect. Loved it!.

I love all of Jessa's stories and she absolutely hit a homerun with her first sci-fi story. Maria is a great character and you will love how she teaches T'zak. Huge fan of all of your stories and characters.
The author has given us a humorous story that pulls us into the lives of Maria and T'zak and does not let go. The story keeps us turning the pages with humor, sadness and heartbreak.

This short story was a enjoyable read . T'zak is sent to earth to complete his mission, he must find a human to help him be believed to be human himself. Maria soon becomes more then a teacher, she becomes his love.
fast, quick read with a great premise. Story flows quickly so some scenes would have been more fulfilling if they had been longer, or more detailed. Overall, quick, cute story that has a HEA ending.

Maria thinks she’s having a bad day. Her mom disappeared a year ago, her cat has been lost a week and she just got fired. But that’s nothing compared to Tkzak who has three days to pass as a human, or die!
A relatively quick read . It's fun and enjoyable and entertaining . The characters are unique and interesting all And all a decent story. I would check out the other books on her list.
Maria, the female human lead, is having a terrible day. Falling asleep, she wakes to find T’zak, the male alien lead, hovering at the foot of her bed, claiming that he needs her to teach him how to blend on Earth…
This short story is dual POV, and a cute and simple first contact alien romance. The interactions were sweet as was the resolution, with spicy intimate scenes.

"Teaching the Alien" was fun and entertaining. Creatively written with great characters. I definitely recommend this story. It's a short tale with a sexy alien😁.
