The story drives on ever so cliché. It started cliché and had opportunity to move away from that…Until it becomes the whole ‘it was my dad who was the hero seven years’ bull. If you can pass over that I still like the designs and art. There are very cringe-worthy moments between volume 4 and 5.

What astounds me about Mar right now is that it teeters between childishly playful then macabrely dark. I actually prefer this method where nothing is too much for the viewership even if it is children. Now there’s cases where it can be excess but that is not the case here. It’s only more surprising due to the reliance on tropes to fuel the story. It’s a weird method that can easily be picked apart.

I’m here for cool designs, over the top battles and a building one versus one and I think that’s what I’m getting and will get.

Vemos la primera misión real donde vemos pelear a Ginta y ver una nueva versión de Babbo. Al final parece que se lia mucho y veremos una especie de arco nuevo que tengo muchas ganas de leer!

Rereading this one is super exciting because all of the main characters have been introduced by now and the war games are imminent. This is when the series really kicks off for me.
