Welcome back to the Maui Island Series for a romantic family drama that will take your heart hostage…one page at a time.
SWEET PLUMERIA DAWN continues the binge-worthy saga of the Briscoe family. Christel is a new wife, juggling the demands of Pali Maui while trying to become pregnant when an unexpected visitor from the past creates a complicated dilemma. Commitments are in question…loyalties are tested. She can’t help missing the young woman she was then, full of passion and promise. And she can’t help but be tempted by a love that never fully died.
If you’re looking for a new series brimming with heartfelt emotion…look no further than the Maui Island Series! Perfect for fans of Robyn Carr and Sheryl Woods.

The Briscoe family is one of my fav series , all the characters have great storylines that are realistic.I like that the author touches on forgiveness , and new beginnings .
This is one of the best series I’ve read! As usual, the Briscoe family rallies around each family member.
Book Six continues with KCG’s telling of what Ava’s brood has been up to.
Thankfully, due to the efforts of Ava, manager Mig and Ava’s kids pitching in, the pineapple plantation is running well after the storm’s devastation from book five. Happy for that!
Unfortunately, Christel and Evan are still experiencing infertility issues. She continues to feel guilty over that and begins to ponder whether she should seek medical treatment. To make matters more stressful for her, Christel encounters her ex-husband Jay while out for a run. The nostalgia of that relationship messes with her a bit.
Aiden has a bit of a woman issue thanks to well-meaning little bro Shane. Assistance in getting the “not interested” message comes from an unexpected source. Shane and Carson continue to do well, thankfully.
Katie is feeling bored until….Aunt Vanessa makes a startling announcement and Katie jumps on board. Vanessa - who has been my least favorite character (iykyk) - has to return to Seattle to bring her daughter Isabella to Maui. (no spoiler on this situation)! Later, Vanessa has to decide which of her desires are more important. Knowing Vanessa (as stated, iykyk), does she make the correct one?
So sad that per Captain Jack’s insight, there is only one more book to come! I hope that some of the storylines have HEA’s (Christel & Evan, Aiden and Shane).
Highly recommend the Maui Island series but start at book one!
I just love this series, visiting beautiful Maui and spending time with the Briscoe family. This book did not disappoint. The pineapple plantation is doing well but the family members are facing some personal crises. Do you trust your decisions? Has your life gone the way you expected? Do you need to make amends and be willing to change youjr life for another person? These are questions members of the Briscoe family are struggling with. I highly recommend this book and the series.
I read this book as an ARC and wish to thank Kellie Coates Gilbert and the publishers. The ideas contained in this review are strictly my own.
Thank you Kellie for this series! I think it gets better with every book. In this installment, we continue to follow the Briscoe family as each member embarks on a new adventure of some kind. The characters are so well described I feel like I know each of them individually and each new book is like coming back to visit them. The descriptions of the scenery and locations in Maui make me want to visit. I love Captain Jack’s observations at the end of each book. I recommend these books to anyone who likes a series following a family as it goes about life. I am going to be sad when this series comes to an end.
Another winner in the Maui Island series. This book is full of beautiful descriptions of the scenic Maui Island. Family love and support are key elements of the Briscoe Family.
Christal and her husband Evan are struggling with infertility. Meanwhile Christal runs into her ex husband Jay which raises new emotions. Aidan’s love life hots a snag.
Ava’s sister Vanessa surprises the family with a surprise political announcement. Will her daughter Isabella become collateral damage of the campaign?
Thank you to the author for this ARC. This review is my honest opinion.
The Maui Island series continues with new opportunities and family loyalty for the Briscoe family. Christel and Evan are facing infertility issues, Ava’s desire to become state senator runs into a snag, Aiden’s interesting love life, and a surprise visitor from the past are woven into this book. This family always finds a way to overcome obstacles and become stronger along the way. Thank you to the author for the ARC. This review is my own opinion.
Kellie Coates Gilbert does it again. I am fully engulfed in this series and waiting with bated breath for the next book. I just can’t help myself and devoured the book in one day.
These characters strike a chord in you and their lives reverberate through your mind as you relate to them, cheer them on, and encourage them.
Kellie Coates Gilbert brings out the good in people and fills your mind with ways to be a better family member and friend.
Book 6 starts with Ava Briscoe’s sister, Vanessa, making a huge announcement to the family, followed by an unexpected surprise for her as well. Katie is right by her side for the ride.
Christel & Evan are trying to conceive, but a blast from the past shakes her. Thanks to his youngest brother, Aiden, still the Fire Captain, has an annoyance he can’t get rid of, but a surprising helper comes to his rescue.
Thank you to the author for an advanced copy. These opinions are my own.
Another enjoyable read about this great family. I feel this centered on some more than others. I thought it was great to see Vanessa have a bigger part. As always there were surprises and the urge to want to take a vacation to Maui.

I absolutely love this series. I shed a few tears during this one. I have been holding out on these last 2 books since I know this will be the end of my journey with the Briscoe family. These books take me right back to Maui.
Wow the Briscoe family sure has gone through some big bad stuff. Nice watching them wade through it and come out stronger in each new story. Can't wait to see what happens next.
