Sometimes someone gets under your skin so completely that they never fully go away.
Leah's life is falling apart. She hates her job, she is stressed out all the time and she is in love with someone that doesn't love her back. Their relationship is toxic. She knows it, but she can't seem to let him go. Trying to escape for a little while she heads to the middle of nowhere Maine where she spent so much time as a child. While there she reconnects with someone from her past. They spend four perfect days together before life gets in the way and she never hears from him again.
He reminded her of everything she forgot she wanted. Those four days changed everything.
Sixteen years later Leah finds herself traveling back to Maine to cope with the threat of her marriage ending. She never thought she'd see him again, but she finds herself face to face with her past once again. Unable to fight her feelings, Leah falls into his heart, and his bed, before having to make a choice that will affect the rest of her life.
How do you choose between the life you always wanted and the man you could never forget?
Follow Leah from Massachusetts to Maine while she deals with love and heartbreak. For lovers of the ocean, sea glass and cabins in the woods. Love will break you, change you and lead you to exactly where you are meant to be.
Rollercoaster! I think many spouses have felt this way at some point in their marriage. Not many withstand the test. Did it end the way I wanted…nope lol I was on a different team.
This is the human equivalent of a rollercoaster full of emotions. You follow Leah through a crappy boyfriend and meeting Eric with whom she spends four glorious days before he leaves for a job. Sixteen years later with her marriage to Liam on hiatus, she finds Eric once more. Four days with Eric leaves her conflicted on whether to end her marriage or try to make it work. Liam realizes the treasure of Leah almost too late. There is a HEA.
This book ... is raw, human emotions. It's real life. It's a woman who questions her worth, finds it, but still constantly asks herself "what if?"
This book represents something. It reminds you that sometimes the right love at the wrong time does in fact exist. This book does have a HEA in a way but it's not the one you might want or hope for.
Honestly, I'm still trying to process everything.
This is not a feel good read. This is not a book for everyone. This is for the ones who have had to choose between head and heart knowing that either way pieces of yourself would be lost.
This is a tough one to rate. Leah and Eric have four magical days together, but he leaves to work on a boat and they don’t see each other again for sixteen years. In that time, Leah has gotten married and has two sons. Leah’s marriage is falling apart, when Eric shows up in her life and she has tough decisions to make. I definitely don’t like an MC cheating, but this has extenuating circumstances. I’m not sure if the ending is happy enough for me. I’m hoping the second book will give me the closure I need.
This book had me from the beginning. I could relate to Leah. She was struggling with losing herself. This was a story where Leah had to learn herself again. To find love within herself again, love in relationship, and love in her job. The love interests (that's right.. plural) in this book were the perfect book boyfriends to curl up and read with. Let you curly hair down and grab a glass of wine. Get ready for some spice 🌶

Follows Leah who has a major love experience younger in age, years pass and everything changes and Leah is faced with a big decision. She must decide between short lived feelings and being left without reason, or true love from the beginning and the true meaning of together forever!
I absolutely loved this! I loved that it showed a strong female character Leah doing what is absolutely best for herself regardless of the opinions of others!!!

I absolutely loved this book. I am shocked this is the authors debut novel. I sincerely hope she writes more. I will admit though that I live in New England and visit at least yearly the exact “middle of nowhere Maine” featured in this book. Which I think sways my opinion slightly. Read this in one sitting, could not put it down. Highly recommend.
This story is heartbreaking, fire, heartbreaking, fire on repeat. It's intensely steamy and achingly longing. The writing style is soothing---it reads like a warm sweater wrapped around your shoulders on a brisk day... And it's SEXY, whew! You're going to love it!
I wasn't ready! This isn't how it was supposed to happen. REDO!!! You broke my heart and I can't even vent without spoiling it for others just know I'm a headache right now
Seems to me that this days all the authors know nothing about equality or understanding or suport if its not just for women benefit. How do you all live with yourself knowing all the shit you write its just sexist baiest and just disquieting?
This book was honestly very interesting and made me think I bet there’s a lot of females out there that feel just like the main character did in her marriage. I didn’t like her decision in the end but I get it.
