I should change my name to troublemaker… After randomly sleeping with a stranger, I find out something disturbing.
That stranger is my boss… aka the hottest doctor in town Also, the most successful. That means he’s got no time for games. No time for love. And definitely none for the big secret I’m hiding.
The list of problems doesn’t just end there. My boss is also my dad’s best friend. So imagine my shock when I find out that I’m having his twin babies.
Hiding this secret might be the worst thing I’ve ever done. But do I have a choice if I want to keep my heart and my job intact?
Brooke was ridiculous the entire story. But I wouldn’t have guessed what an absolutely shit person she was until upon realizing she’s pregnant, Brooke consciously chose to not tell the decent obstetrician she was boinking that he’s the father. Trash.
Age gap, dad's friend/co-worker, plus sized h, accidental/hidden pregnancy
This one gets a 2 on the spice scale, the blurb seems sort of inaccurate (he isn't a stranger at all and he isn't her boss but they do work in the same hospital) and it could definitely use another round of editing.
For what this story was I enjoyed it. I don't love the run away and have a secret pregnancy away from the father trope but it worked out in the end. Doctor Mark is amazing and a more understanding man than I would be.
A sweet older man, younger woman story. It has the angst that one would expect, and miscommunication causing separation etc, but all is easily resolved.

This book pissed me off. First off, the book blurb that first had me hooked was pretty misleading (the situation described didn’t happen until maybe 65-70% in to the book, oh and the MMC also isn’t at ALL a stranger to the FMC), there was a PAINFULLY toxic third act breakup (all the toxicity came from the FMC), SO much miscommunication and assumptions, I REALLY hated FMC’s mother (she was just so demeaning to her and treated her like an errand girl), I just really hated the FMC (she was SUPER annoying after the stupid third act breakup and easily jumped to conclusions WITHOUT even allowing the MMC to explain the misinterpretation), and I just wasn’t feeling a connection between the couple. Never really felt like they grew to love each other. Whew! Okay? That’s my rant 😆.
The beginnings of the book was OK, and I didn’t dislike anyone yet, then the ending was fine as well (sweet to see baby snuggles) besides my feeling of disconnect to the characters. I guess I wasn’t TOO bored at any point in the story. Overall, this book gets an annoyed “meh” from me.
Brooke DeBoise knows what disappointment looks like—feels like. The beautiful curvy, recent college grad, having returned home to Atlanta from Ireland, where she finally finished her college degree, only has to look in the mirror to see what disappointment looks like, feels like—it bears her image.
In her career-oriented family—except for mom, Karen, who has made being a doctor’s wife, a social butterfly and party hostess, a career. Everyone else in Brooke’s family—her dad, Peyton, the chief of staff at his hospital, and her younger brother, Rhys, whose law degree, sets him on a favored career pathway, have achieved professional success.
But her parents’ firstborn, daughter Brooke, can’t seem to achieve or please anyone. Her mom doesn’t mind that her firstborn hasn’t found her own academic based professional career path—an acceptable professional pathway could be marriage to the right man who has chosen an approved, professional pathway. But Brooke fails in that line of achievement—she isn’t a petite, fragile socialite like mom. Brooke, a beauty with brown eyes and with thick, rich, waist-length deep chocolate brown hair, is a curvy girl with big boobs and padded hips, not mom’s vision of an acceptable body type. Rather, mom always suggests that all of Brooke’s life problems could be solved by losing 10 pounds.
So, when the DeBoise family—mom, dad, and recently returned home Brooke—attend one of dad’s professional gatherings, Brooke uses the opportunity to network—socially—if having hot, melt your panties off sex in a broom closet with a stranger, fits into the range of how one can successfully network—especially when that stranger is later introduced as an OB/GYN who works with dad at the hospital.
Ava Gray creates a tale of secrets and withheld information that totter to near disaster, but which ultimately lead to love. I received this romance through BookSprout, but also bought a copy for my Kindle collection.
Mark is having dinner at his friend Peyton's house. It has been a while since he has seen his kids, needless to say Brooke surprised him, she is all grown and looking so gorgeous. He has been trying to talk up the other guy there. It is not long before Brooke is mad at him and fallen off the radar, he just cannot come out and ask Peyton where she it.
Brooke cannot believe Mark, she thought she was special even if they did keep it secret. Now to find out she is pregnant, she needs to get away. She decides to go to Chicago with her friend. Will she tell Mark about the baby?
I loved this story, but Mark was a dense at times, for being the older, I would have though he would have had more of a clue.
I received an Advance Readers Copy of this book with no obligation to write a review.

Age gap romance. Mark has been friends with Brooke’s parents for many years. He is a slightly younger colleague, and an Obstetrician/Gynecologist.
Brooke is home after graduating from college and she catches Dr. Mark’s attention. A quickie in the janitor’s closet of a holiday gala event later turns into a secret relationship.
Since their relationship is a secret Mark tries to avoid the matchmaking efforts of Brooke’s mother and his sister-in-law. Misunderstandings and miscommunication lead to hurt feelings and a separation. Neither Brooke or Dr. Mark act very adult-like which lengthens their separation and causes more hurt feelings.
All the angst is eventually worked out for a HEA. This was a book I saw a blurb for a few months ago and then lost track of the title. I was happy to come across it on a newsletter promoting newer releases.
I do wish the storyline had a chapter or two more after Brooke and Dr. Mark get back together after he unexpectedly delivers her twins and before the epilogue a year later. (I really would have liked to see how the author worked out Brooke continuing her grad school program in Chicago and Mark continued practicing medicine in Atlanta.)
Dr. Mark Bryant is a talented obstetrician who works at the hospital where his friend’s daughter, Brooke, works. (Two strikes against him if he even considers an affair with 24-year-old Brooke.) He had first seen her at dinner at his friend’s house, so he knew who she was. When he saw her again at a party, they “got it on” in a closet. (No impulse control?) Then they continued the tryst. She became pregnant and ran off with her secret to Chicago when she got jealous thinking he found someone new.
What are the odds that Mark would arrive in Chicago for a conference? And that he would overhear a frantic co-worker say that the woman was in labor? He offered his services as an obstetrician and found his patient was the woman he could not forget -- Brooke. She was the most ill-prepared female you can imagine, having taken no childbirth classes, despite working in a hospital, and then she argued with Mark at every step of the delivery! When he discovers he is the father of her babies, would he make things right?
When you never expect to find love it can show up somewhere you never thought to look. These two characters started seeing each other but they were worried about what her father would think. Mark is a sought after OBGYN, he is very busy and one of the best in his field. He is planning on telling Brooke how he feels about her, but they end up breaking up instead.
Brooke moves with her best friend and starts a master's program. One thing she didn't tell anyone before she left, including Mark, is the fact that she is pregnant. With twins. When she is interning at a hotel she goes into labor, only Mark is there for a conference and ends up delivering the twins.
Brooke and Mark make a good couple and their chemistry is intense. Ava is great at creating a complicated world full of secrets but in the end every one ultimately everyone comes out happy. This was a fast read because I kept wanting to know what was going to happen. I liked this book and recommend it.

Mark is at a friend's home for dinner and sees his friend's daughter for the first time in years. Brooke has turned into a beautiful young woman. It's not long before they start seeing each other secretly. However, when her parents keep trying to set him up with women in front of her Brooke starts worrying about whether he'll be ready for a more public relationship. When she sees him leave one day with her mom's friend, she thinks its over and makes plans for her future. Mark doesn't know why Brooke has been avoiding him and is upset to learn she left town without telling him. Will they figure out the misunderstanding they both are clueless about? Can they find a way to be together?
This is an amazing story that once I started it I couldn't put it down. This is a well written and very entertaining. It's a book that any book lover would enjoy.

When Mark sees Brooke again time slows down and the steamy hidden romance begins! Will their love make it to the end or will things get in the way? Who’s Mimi? Babies? Parents best friend? This amazing read takes you on a journey all the way through to the end! The characters wrap you up and suddenly I’m invested, country put this book down and read it in one sitting! On fire! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
**I wanted to mention that there is an overbearing mother figure who cares a lot about appearances and weight especially on her daughter and that may be a trigger for so even if mild.
***I also did notice a few spelling mistakes which could be from book conversion for example fees instead of feet.
Overall I give this steamy sweet romance a five out of five! Can’t wait for more!
I liked this story, and I know the "misunderstanding" troupe is popular but it makes me want to smack both of the MCs lol. I do like how they were put together in the frist place, with her parents and Dr. Mark. They start their relationship out in secret, she works in the building he does and he's great friends with her father. After a pretty big and public misunderstanding, she flees. And unfortunately is left pregnant, luckily her bestie is with her as they figure things out.
While she's working the event he is a speaker at, she goes into labor... realizing some time after he's the father. They finally come together, and talk things out, I wish they could've hashed things out a bit more? It felt almost rushed? But it was a great read and I'm glad they got their HEA!.

Mark was a doctor and not looking for love. Brooke was his friends daughter who he should avoid but couldn’t after their one night of passion. They kept their dating a secret and had a great thing going until some misunderstandings occurred and they separated. Brooke decided to take the opportunity to expand her education and headed back to college to get her masters so she could take care of the baby she was carrying. Mark had no clue where she was, that she was pregnant or what went wrong and he was miserable. Events lead them back to each other and both of them were surprised to say the least. Overall a good story.

I liked this story.. Dr Mark came to his friend's house for dinner and the "kids" were home. He was shocked that the daughter was 24 and a knockout. He saw her again at a party and they had sex in a small room. That started a secret affair as neither thought her dad would approve. When she thought he was seeing someone else, she broke things off and moved to Chicago. She didn't tell him he was the father of her babies. He figured it out after they were born. Her father was furious with his friend, but Mark was not deterred. He loved Brooke and wasn't leaving her or the babies.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this story about an older man and a younger woman. Mark is a Obstetrician, he visits his friend who is also a doctor for dinner one night and is surprised by a gorgeous young woman who we later finds out is Brooke, his best friends daughter who has returned home from college. There is an instant attraction and between both of them and they can’t deny their feelings and have a trust at a gala that they are both invited to and things go ahead from there with lots of sexy times and hidden secrets and eventually happy ever after.

Dr Daddy & Best Friends Daughter - Will There Be A HEA?
Fantastic story. I absolutely loved how the author was able to convey such a great story with so many emotions involved. Mark & Brooke's relationship is not all sunshine & roses even with their heated chemistry. Mark is a prominent OB doctor & Brooke has just started working reception at the same hospital. Sparks fly between Mark & Brooke but will misunderstandings destroy their chance at a HEA. I can't wait to read the next book by this author & have already added Ava Gray to my favourites list.

Mark and Brooke haven't seen eachother for years. She's just returned from abroad where she was studying. The attraction is instant. They become involved and agree to keep things hidden. Brooke gets tired of her mother always setting Mark up with other women. It is after a weekend at the lake house where she sees her mother's friend all over Mark when she decides she's had enough.
As she's preparing to leave to start an MBA program is when she figures out she's pregnant. She leaves without telling Mark she's pregnant. Can they all resolve their issues?
I enjoyed this read 📚!.

Brooke is a receptionist at the hospital that her father's best friend Mark works. Mark is an obstetrician and hadn't seen Brooke in a long time. They start a secret relationship but end up with a major misunderstanding and Brooke leaves town. What happens when Brooke finds out that she's pregnant with Mark's twins? Is she going to tell him? If he delivers her babies he will know that they are his. There are surprises, drama, misunderstandings, and amusing situations. This was a good book to read.

Brooke came home after getting her undergrad and she had grown up to a beautiful woman. Mark is Brooke’s best friend and also an obstetrician and Brooke caught his eye and he couldn’t get her out of his mind. Brooke and Mark started seeing each other secretly because they both didn’t want The repercussions of Mark dating his best friends daughter. Brooke was getting tired of being a secret and seeing her mom trying to hook Mark up with every single woman. Brooke got pregnant and she didn’t know what she was going to do. She decided to move to attend graduate school. Will she ever tell Mark? Will she tell her parents? I loved this book.
Doctor Daddy By Ava Gray Story: 4 out of 5 ⭐️ Romance: 5 out of 5 ⭐️ Spicy: 3.5 out 5 ⭐️
Mark is an older man, he is my dads best friend. But he is also very hot. Mark is also a doctor an obstetrician and he is a good dr.
Brooke is a 24 year old and has had a crush on Mark. They have a secret affair, she gets hurt and runs away with a friend to do this work program. She finds out she is pregnant, what will she do. Does she tell her older baby daddy. Read Doctor Daddy and see what happens. Definitely a must read!
Loved the book! It was funny and sweet. Two people that haven't seen each other in years found out that they are definitely attracted to each other. But, he is her father's best friend and a bit older than her. Between sneaking around and a whole lot of misunderstandings, they part. But, she finds out she's pregnant. Some surprises are really big surprises. Loved the way the author did twists and turns in this book and the characters are amazing. Really good read.
This wasn’t too bad for an age gap story. But it did show that Brooke was not ready to settle down let alone have babies. She was treated like a teenager, when in fact she is a adult. She runs away when the going gets tough instead of being the adult she is. No wonder her parents treat her like she is a teenager. The only redeeming was Mark. Although he was cringe worthy during the first dinner. But he got better as the book got closer to finishing.
OMG! This was one of the best older man-younger woman stories I have read. Dr. Mark is a family friend and hasn't seen Brooke since she graduated. They hook-up at a gala and start seeing one another in secret. There are humorous situations, misconceptions, surprises, and a HEA ending. Don't miss this one!.

Wowsa this book was absolutely fantastic and smoking hot! Mark Bryant is friends Payton DE Boise both doctors and when he sees Brooke for the first time in years can he stay away from her or will things blow up everything in their lives? Enjoyable age-gap romance. I loved how sassy and self-confident curvy Brooke is, especially when she goes after what she wants – in the shape of her father’s friend & colleague, Mark. I really enjoyed their steamy ‘forbidden’ romance and wanted to bang their heads together when a silly misunderstanding parts them. Readers will enjoy the great last part of the book when Brooke goes into labour and Mark unknowingly delivers his own babies. A sigh-worthy read, with a lovely HEA.
Mark was Brooke’s father’s best friend. They had known each other all her life but had not seen each other in years. At a gala Mark saw Brooke as the woman she was instead of his friend’s daughter. That night started their secret romance. A misunderstanding had Brooke running. Mark unexpectedly delivered Brooke’s twins and realized he was a father.
