Purloined magic… A mysterious jewel… A demonic menace… The world in the balance… Not exactly the way Morgan and Marissa intended to spend their honeymoon.
Married at last. And shipwrecked.
A storm on the Thundermist Sea has cast newlyweds Morgan and Marissa onto the shores of Parthane. This exotic land boasts ancient temples, sumptuous feasts, court intrigue…and deadly danger.
But it’s all part of a plan. The dauntless pair has been dispatched to recover a priceless jewel stolen from the wizards of Caerfaen by Prince Azim of Parthane. The ruby, known as the Demon’s Fire, is not merely beautiful and valuable, but is also a magical artifact which gives whoever wields it access to unimaginable power. Power which, in the wrong hands, could lead to a catastrophe of demonic proportions.
As Royal Enchantress (and possessor of an ancient grimoire), Marissa is the only hope to retrieve the jewel. There’s no way Morgan will allow Chief Wizard Foxwent to send his new bride off to Parthane alone and unprotected, but he’ll need to call on all his skills and instincts to keep them safe in this new world of decadent temptations and lethal double-crosses.
The book and the jewel are somehow bound together, and their confluence might turn both Parthane and Kilbourne into magical wastelands. Morgan and Marissa must outwit ghostly guards, malevolent magicians, and an impregnable palace to steal back the jewel and return it to Kilbourne. They’ll only have one chance to complete their mission, and failure might just mean the end of the world.
Keith W. Willis graduated (long ago) from Berry College with a degree in English Lit. He now lives in the scenic Hudson Valley/Adirondack region of NY with his wife Patty. They have one grown son, Matt, who actually thinks it’s pretty cool that Dad wrote a book.
Keith’s interests include camping, canoeing, and Scrabble. Keith began writing seriously in 2008, when the voices in his head got too annoying to ignore. When he’s not making up stories he manages a group of database content editors at a global information technology firm. TRAITOR KNIGHT is his first published novel.
I very much enjoyed this book, and am looking forward to seeing what happens next! I love Morgan and Marissa, and I enjoyed seeing more from the dragons through the story. Definitely excited for the next book.
Stolen Knight is the fourth book in the Knights of Kilbourne series by Keith W. Willis and this series is like a fairy tale for adults. It is full of adventures, witches, dragons, wizards, magic, Kings and Queens, danger, ghosts, love and so much more.
In Stolen Knight Morgan McRobbie, Knight Commander of the Legion and Lady Marissa duBerry are finally getting married !!! But before they can even think about their happily even after they are asked by King Rhys to go and steal back the Demon's Fire, a red ruby that holds dangerous powers. King Rhys knows that Lady Marissa, the Royal Enchantress, is the only one who can steal it using her magical powers but she will need assistance.
So Morgan and Marissa get a team to help them and they sail out to Parthane to steal the Demon's Fire back. Unfortunately it will not be an easy task as Prince Azim has a huge collection of items that he has set up traps and protective measures in order to protect the collection.
Readers cannot help but love this adult fairy tale series. There is so much to love and even when you think you have read it all, Willis adds something more to the mix and you are utterly amazed even more. I cannot stess it enough for you to grab your copies and dig in .... you will be thoroughly entertained.
Finally married and now for the honeymoon. Well, evil never takes a rest. The King needs Morgan and Marissa to save the world. The ruby, known as the Demon’s Fire, is not merely beautiful and valuable but is also a magical artifact which gives whoever wields it access to unimaginable power. Power which, in the wrong hands, could lead to a catastrophe of demonic proportions. But how to get it back?
Twists and turns, intrigue galore, and dragons to rescue them but nothing goes as planned. Evil is always there trying to destroy good.
Wizards are now trying to have all witches banished and anyone supporting them, including the King and Queen. They are using religion and the Bishops from various regions to accomplish their mission.
Waiting for the next book in this series. I want it now to continue reading the journey of Morgan and Marissa.
Keith Willis has penned a fantastic story that has your attention gripped from the beginning. Dragons are present, of course, but SOOOO much more!! There are not enough stars available to give this book.
