I said no to Addler de Marco once, and he's never let me forget it...
Elena There's always been whispers about the de Marco family and the dark deals that made their fortune. I survived the rich boy nearly ruining my life but now, thanks to a careless mistake, I'm under his thumb. He's offering a no-saying-no deal that might save the future of the only father figure I've ever known.
Addler Elena Santos has lived in my memory for years. Meeting her again would have been perfect, except for the guilt that flashes across her features for the briefest second. Is she part of the underhanded activities my new company's been part of?
A twist of fate leaves her in trouble, willing to do anything to make things right. It's the perfect opportunity for some payback.
Vindictive Heir is a Dark Enemies to Lovers Billionaire Romance set in the small town of Nueces, Texas. If you're not ready to read about a ruthless, jealous/possessive hero using coercion/blackmail to get revenge, this is not the book for you. If your eyebrows went up, please be sure to leave a review. The story will continue in Brutal Heir and conclude in Crude Heir.
Sahara Roberts caught the writing bug early in life. She enjoys writing Dark Romance and Romantic Suspense. Her days are filled with international trade issues (the legal kind) and her evenings writing steamy romance.
She is currently working on expanding the Billionaire Heirs series.
Sahara lives in South Texas with her beloved husband and their three furry overlords. She enjoys cooking, baking, and cake decorating, but she would certainly prefer to have someone else do the dishes.
This is a dual POV story of Addler de Marco and Elena. Addler is the new owner of a construction company and Elena is helping with their books. Money is missing and Addler and Elena need to figure it out before he officially takes over on Monday. This entire story unravels over a long weekend.
I gave this 3 stars because I really do think Addler and Elena are kind of adorable by the end of this story. My biggest issue with this book is that I spent the entire book not understanding their history. I had no idea where the chemistry is coming from or why Addler is still so obsessed with Elena. Why did she give up *so much* with seemingly little convincing?
It’s labeled as a dark romance and I guess I didn’t really get any DARK. There’s a little mystery, a little spice. But nothing really disgustingly dark. Maybe I’m just twisted? But it fell short for me in that area.
I’ll keep the most shocking part of this story a mystery but I understand why it’s called VINDICTIVE heir because I didn’t realize until the end of the story how truly vindictive Addler was. This is a really quick read. I read it in just a few hours! At under 200 pages it feels like more of a novella. Thank you so much to Book Sirens for this electronic book. This is my honest review of the book “Vindictive Heir” by Sahara Roberts. The next book in this series is focusing on another couple that were introduced in this book, Ezequiel and Sage.
Addler and Elena knew each-other from school. They had a falling out that left Elena with a bad reputation and a broken heart and Addler focused on his future.
Present day Addler buys the company Elena now works at. He acts kinda creepy by propositioning her to help save her co-worker who is like a father to her's job. She agrees because she feels responsible to help her co-worker and in the process she sees another side of him and sparks fly old feelings are reignited and holy smokes these two have so much chemistry! I'm still mad at him though for tricking her into spending time with him but he ends up being a good guy so all is forgiven.

This was a great story! I think that the characters we're fleshed out nicely and the world was well-rounded. The writing was great! I love the fact that these two had history, it made it that more special and gave me a deeper connection to these characters. I love their chemistry and connection-they sizzled!
They had a history and he was back. She was trying to help her father figure out and decided to take the deal that he offered. One that would lead them down a path that they were meant to take all this time.
These two were so incredible. They are so sensual together. I love the fact that he offered her this deal, knowing, needing this woman in his life, in his heart, in his bed. I love the fact that he needed and wanted her so badly that he would resort to this tactic. I love also that she could not deny their connection. They were so sexy together! Oh my goodness the story had so much steam. What a mouth on that guy! I love how they were with each other, familiar and fulfilling something that should have happened a long time ago. I'm absolutely in love with this couple and the storyline. I love everything about it, I just wish we had more of their future and different kind of epilogue, like the whole what color should we paint the nursery kind, lol. But I look forward to the rest of the books in this series! I can hardly wait to read about the other couples, though I wished they had more of an appearance in this story. Can't wait!.

This book is described as a ‘dark romance’ but honestly, I don’t know where there was any darkness in this book, maybe it comes later in the series.
Elena and Addler knew each other senior year but unfortunately had a misunderstanding that both gave them personal consequences that effected them for their adult life.
Addler comes back into Elena’s life and he plays a little I guess cat and mouse game to get her to stay with her for the weekend. Well during that time he realizes he’s broken off more than he can chew and realizes maybe those feelings weren’t buried so deep.
This is a quick and easy read but it left a lot out there for me to still want. There was a major plot point that you want in every book and this one didn’t do it. I felt like I was hanging off a cliff when the book ended and we never got that part of their story. The epilogue had a chance to redeem that and it was more about the business side of the story (which is intriguing and I want to find out where that money is) but it didn’t do anything for the characters or their future. I was thinking the 2nd book would continue their story but it’s new characters. Book is a HEA.

The first part of the book flowing nicely, but a bit bored for me as they are mainly consist of re introduction of Addler and h, how he come to possess her company, her relationship with her boss, flashbacks here and there. When Addler catched h, thats where my interest peak. Heh. I was waiting for this part. It was a simple mistake, causing him to blackmail her. Its her fault, I know, but damn, manipulator will use anything to trap a mouse.
And comes;
"I’ll do whatever I need to do to fix this.”
The first time he touched her, God! The scene is gorgeously and soo beautifully constructed i can feel tge air sizzling. And the undressing show part, damn. Was I there in the room with them?
Imagined my surprised when he told Elena the story of his grandparents, it was sooo familiar.
The spice scenes are so hottttt, and they are resolving their problem and misunderstanding at the end of the book. HEA, yay.
I love myself some dark, smutty romance. Reminder that this book has TW dubcon. I reallly reallly love this book. Going to have a look at all of her books now that I have a taste.
I received a complimentary copy of this book and I am leaving an honest review. I would never overly hype a book for a complimentaty copy.
I'm a bit conflicted on how to rate this book. Overall, I enjoyed the plot and characters. It was a quick, easy read which is just what I was looking for. That said, I don't think the title, description, or cover image really fit the book. It wasn't "dark and vindictive" at all, and in my opinion, a better cover image and title would be helpful to get the right type of reader for this book. Vindictive Heir is about Elena, a woman working for a company that is having major financial problems. Money has gone missing, and when the company is purchased by Addler, a man Elena knew years ago, Elena tries to solve the financial problems while hiding them from Addler. In the end, the financial problems didn't really fit the description of "underhanded activities" as described in the blurb, and Addler was not nearly as dark and vindictive as the reader expects. That said, it was still an enjoyable read, so I gave this a 3-star rating, even though the book was not at all what I was expecting. Like I said though, I think the book would really benefit from a different title and cover, as I would have rated it higher if it had lined up more with what I was expecting. "Vindictive Heir" is an interesting story about Addler and Elena, who have a misunderstood history from high school 10 years earlier. He buys a division of a larger company and discovers possible embezzlement has occurred. Elena is the one person who can assist him with understanding charges and costs, so she hesitantly works for him.
She doesn't trust Addler and he thinks Elena is hiding something, so they are off to a rocky start. However, he has been attracted to Elena for years and he persists in trying to establish a relationship with her. Their relationship takes some fascinating twists and turns.
The title doesn't give the reader a sense of what the story is about, but I have the feeling it will have more to do with another character slightly introduced at the beginning of the book and I will read the second book in the series to see if that's the case.

Elena and Addler have a history, they knew each other in school then one day he disappeared and left her to face the many rumors about her. Elena has always had a fascination for Addler, but she will never trust him with heart. Addler is the heir to the de Marco’s empire has secretly been fascinating about the girl he knew from school, the one who betrayed him. He shows up to get revenge against Elena. I love Addler and Elena, he plays cat and mouse game with her, but he soon discovers his he’s caught in his own trap when he reawakens their feeling for each other, then after secrets and truths are revealed will there be forgiveness? A fun story to read and a great start to a new series. I can’t wait for the next book in the series. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Romance blossoms as the mystery deepens An interesting story with a company embezzlement mystery running through it. It is unresolved so that thread I hope will continue in subsequent additions to the series. This is Elena and Addler's story. These two have history going back to high school, she was the daughter of a single mother doing it tough, he was the wealthy heir to the family fortune, the famous family around these parts. She's carrying animosity about events in the past that painted her in a bad light, that she believes he is responsible for, for him she is the one he always wanted. He's back in her life in the form of the company's new owner. Can she put the past behind her and open up to the possibility of a future? A dual point of view telling gives us both sides as this romance charts its course.
Elena and Addler have history and he offers her a deal to help out the man she looks up to.
The plot was a little hard for me to follow (this is a me problem I couldn't wrap my head around it.) The forced proximity felt a tiny bit flimsy to me. When they have sex she's a virgin and I don't remember it being mentioned before that. (again that could be a me issue!) Its labelled dark romance but it's not dark, grey maybe. A quick read if anything
Dual Pov Forced Proximity Second Chance Virgin Open door romance
Triggers: Elena and Addler do the deed, there's no talk of contraception, he pulls out a condom thinks about using it and changes his mind, he doesn't give Elena the option and she thinks he did. When she asks about it later, he tells her not to worry, she assumes this means he can't impregnate her.
Vindictive Heir is the dark romance between Addler de Marco, the wealthy CEO of his families’ multi-billion dollar organization, who has just purchased a new business where Elena Santos is temporarily employed. Elena and Adler are forced to work together over a holiday weekend to attempt to find the tens of millions of dollars missing from his newly acquired business. They have a complex past history from their last year of high school.which is prominent in their current business relationship years later. This well written first book in the duet has amazing characters and a fantastic plot with unexpected twists, misunderstandings, suspicion, wit, and steamy chemistry.

I really enjoyed VINDICTIVE HEIR except for the fact that Elena and Addler’s story doesn’t seem to have ended. They are happy for now, but the next book moves on to Ezekiel and Sage although the overarching story of Addler taking over Kelly Oil construction division and its problems, is continuing.
The couple has the perfect second chance story with the misinformation that kept them apart eventually being revealed. In spite of that, Addler returned to Nueces, TX with the intention of claiming Elena, and he did a thorough, kindle burning job of that.
So I enjoyed the book but am left wanting more about Addler and Elena, and am unsure I will get it in the next book.

Although I hate being left hanging, for once it wasn't a bad one...
It was one I wanted answers to. One I NEEDED the answers to...
This story captivated me and held my focus in such a way that I wanted MORE.
Though Addler had a brutally cynical side, he also had unexpected depths. He made unethical demands, then fought himself not to take advantage of those demands.
On a side note, the family housekeeper, all but a second mom to Addler, was a character of rich understanding and wisdom, and stole parts if the story. And improved them.
Elena had every reason to be bitter towards Addler, but she didn't know the truth about what happened.
Excellent story; well written. I will read it again.
This is book one in The Billionaire Heirs series and it is Elena and Addler's story and what a great start to a new series. Elena and Addler have history that didn't end well and now she needs help and he sees it as his way to get revenge. Wow this book has twists and turns along with action, suspense, drama and great chemistry that have you turning the pages to see what would happen next and it also had great characters and a storyline that pulled you in and kept you on the edge of your seat and I can't wait to read the next book in this series. I definitely recommend you read this book and you will not be disappointed.
★ “Addler de Marco, the jerk who ruined my life. My new boss.” ★
—>>> Review Rating: 3.5 out of 5 stars - As the sole heir to a wealthy family with dark history, Addler goes in personally to investigate missing funds from his latest seven-figure acquisition of Kelly Oil & Gas, and he is confronted with the very girl who has haunted his dreams since his high school years. Nothing is going to stop him from finally having Elena Santos in his bed once and for all, while they find a way out to unravel the coding/billing nightmare which had dropped into their laps. Addler is not above being ruthless, manipulating Elena in every which way to get EVERYTHING he wants, either…
Elena and Addler will take you on an emotional roller coaster that will make you lose a little sleep. This book is part of The Billionaire Heirs series, which is a trilogy. They had a previous relationship that ended on a sour note and he was determined to get even. This is a dark romance with no shortage of control, jealousy, revenge and blackmail. Elena really has no choice is she wants to help her father figure out of a jam. This book is fast paced, dark and drama filled. I read a free advance reader copy via Booksirens and voluntarily chose to review it.
Vindictive Heir: A Dark Billionaire Romance (Book 1 of Billionaire Heirs) by Sahara Roberts. Adler and Elena have a history along with tons of miss communication regarding past events. In the present fate steps in and has these two-working side by side and with these feelings resurface and connection is felt once again. Told in dual POV with engaging drama, charismatic cast of characters, heated chemistry, and eventual HEA. Looking forward to next story with Derrick and Nicole.

Elena and Addler meet again after she discovers that he is her new boss. They have unfinished business from When they were both younger. Elena tries to help her friend out of a sticky situation and Adler offers her a deal which she can’t refuse. It’s steamy but it was ok, I feel the characters could have had a bit more depth. Saying that, it flows well and is easy to read.

I have read Sahara Roberts before, so I knew before I even started this book that it would be amazing. Addler and Elena are incredible characters, that are part of an amazingly put together story. Elena has always been different from the other women Addler has been with, she is absolutely not into fawning all over him. I could not get enough of these amazing characters. I cannot wait for another book.

A new author for me and I was pleasantly surprised. I enjoyed this story and look forward to the next. The story revolves around Adler and Elena. She ran from him before narrowly escaping until she needs help for a man she loves as a father. Adler takes no time giving her a deal which she ends up taking. Fast paced, which I like and I look forward to the next half of this duet.

Storyline is a slow build but once it gets going there is great chemistry between Addler and Elena. These two have past history but working together now brings out their long buried feelings for the other …

Vindictive Heir: A Dark Billionaire Romance Book 1 of Billionaire Heirs
by Sahara Roberts
This book starts the Billionaire Heirs Trilogy. The story and characters, Addler and Elena, are wonderfully crafted. The story is well written and exciting and the characters are hot and steamy with loads of chemistry. I enjoyed reading this and cannot wait for the next book.

I was pleased with the story. It was kind of slow building and sort of disjoinyed at first but once the storyline really got developed everything ablut Addler and Eleana's relationship made sense. The part where they go rescue the cow from the mud was hilarious. I am looking forward to Derrick and Nicole's story next.

Talk about a deal she can't refuse. I liked the two of them together, and I like how she caved to him. I did like them together they seemed to fit in an odd kind of way. It was a good story and kept me interested in the story. The characters were good and interacted well. There is some action and interesting ending.

I bought this book solely on the basis that it was engulfed in a lot of Latinness. Yes, I love it when I can see people who look like me in the story. To top it all off, it is a very good story. It has spicy scenes, a man determined to get and keep his girl, and some side romances starting out. Top it all off with a family with deep roots in the town, a misunderstanding and a thief to take down, and you have one helluva an adventure. Enjoy.
Elena escaped Addler nearly ruining her life once but when the only man she has considers a father figure, needs help she has no choice but to accept his deal. Fast-paced read with loads of drama, suspense and steam. Great characters with lot of depth and a fast-paced and entertaining read. I look forward to more in this new series. I liked it.
So Good! This was a very difficult book to put down. Every page is exciting and turns the entire story into a riveting masterpiece. Everything is designed to capture your attention and it is highly successful in doing so.

This is a very entertaining enemies-to-lovers romance. It was well written and fast paced. I was on the edge of my seat, flipping pages so fast! The curiosity was killing me, wondering what she did to him in their past! Very mysterious! It’s a very good start to the Billionaire Heirs series. Can’t wait to read more. *this was a complimentary copy and this is my honest review*
This is an interesting quick read. This book is packed with drama, steam and suspense. Elena and Addler have great chemistry together. The story has a nice flow but I wouldn't describe it as being dark, may grey. I enjoyed this read and am looking forward to the next book in the series.
