Katie and Leblanc are working on a difficult case up in northern Canada in the search of a serial killer who leaves their victims at places that not always they can be easily found. The agents follow many leads until they pursue one that will take them to the culprit but will also endanger their lives. A fast-paced story, with so many descriptions of the harsh weather conditions that will make you feel cold. Very good entertainment!

FBI Special Agent Katie Winter and her partner Leblanc are on the hunt for a serial killer who seems to abduct hitchhikers. Can they unravel this complex mystery and find the culprit. Also, there is the undercurrent that the Special Task force may be shut down. Not because it is ineffective, but for political reasons. Really enjoy this series.

Katie and Leblanc grow closer and are working hard to solve their case because the task force is in jeopardy. A number of women have gone missing and are found murdered and dumped in the snow. Katie is still unraveling her sister’s disappearance and she’s having nightmares. Leblanc holds Katie after a nightmare and they inch close to a real relationship.

This book was excellent all the way through to the unbelievable end. I really enjoyed the twists and turns of the story but the ending is just implausible. It was exciting but not possible.
