If Shantel don’t do nothing else she’s going to write an MFC getting her time wasted by a nothing 🍑 🥷 for several years and her willingly accepting the 🐂 💩!!!

Storm met Zo 5 years ago and it’s been hell on earth since they met. Storm may have been in a committed relationship with Zo but he for d*mn sure wasn’t in one with her!! Just when I thought the worst of the worst was exposed when it came to this man, I was wrong! Hats off to Zo because he deserved a gold medal after the way he ran circles around Storms dumb 🍑.

Thankfully she FINALLY got some sense about herself and left him tf alone. She did meet Lionel and he was clearly all about her but unfortunately he had to pay the price for Zo’s mistakes! Shantel knows how to write a toxic love story that will take your emotions on a rollercoaster ride and even tho the title says it’s not a love story we do get us a HEA. Shantel was already on my radar so I snagged this during BRAE and it was money well spent 😂😂 4.5✨’s

Wow!!!

I was not expecting to love this book the way that I did. It read like a movie. The drama was not too over the top, but just enough where I was definitely on the edge of my seat. I really enjoyed the characters development of Storm! She was a heroine to love and root for. I appreciated how she took accountability for her part and did everything she could to grow. Lionel!!!! What can I say! He was everything. His gentleness and devotion brought me to tears. However, I'm sideeying his working with Jessica. That was dirty. Whether for a good cause or not. And even Alonzo, I was glad to get a peek into his head. I did not want to have any empathy for him, but in the grand scheme of things I did.
There were a few hiccups with the editing...misspelled words, misplaced punctuation, etc. But overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this book.
Also, this is definitely a love story.

F**k Around and Find Out Juicy!

Ma'am why did you take my pressure way past ten? Whew....If there is a poster child for an ain't ish n***a, it is Zo! This damn man had me so heated with his 👑 like behavior, and the way he treated Storm! 😡 How you gone strong arm a woman to stay with you, knowing you got a whole situation going on? Then your flunky friends help you in your evil behaviors? Ughhhh.... Miss Storm! Such a sweetheart, that allowed this man to basically rule her; knowing they weren't good together! I know it was hard for her, but so glad she got away from that clown! Lionel! I admired his patience, but on the other hand why? You knew this man wasn't ish, and you watched him hurt this woman for years! But, I had to give him some grace. He knew that his heart desired Storm, and he would do whatever was necessary to enter her world! He had some work to do, as she was scarred from Zo; but she was worth it! They were so good together once Storm let her guard down. Made my heart smile! Storm was better than me! Cause after all that Zo put her through, he wouldn't have gotten a syllable out of me; much less a conversation! 😡 All in my feelings! Good job! 👍👍👍

The synopsis did not do this book any justice!!!

Storm just wanted to love and be loved. She wanted the husband, 2.5 kids, house and white picket fence.

Zo wanted his cake and to it eat it too. If audacity and unmitigated gall was a person, it would be Zo.

Lionel was a knight in shining armor, he knew exactly what he wanted and went after it. However, for all of his gentlemanly qualities bro was a little shady (side eye) 👀

This book was an unexpected treasure. I loved the drama, just enough but not too much. Lots of 🌶🌶🌶🌶. I guess that's why it's called Not a Love Story - A F*ucking Story. Well written characters, I felt like I personally knew everyone. And I was not disappointed with the ending, I felt like I got closure and could move on.

I would definitely recommend.

Wack!

I was so tempted to not even finish this book. I only pushed through because it was a short read. The characters were all so ridiculous. Zo was an absolute animal that needed to be put down. Storm was unbelievably dumb. Even on the very last page, she played the fool. Lionel was supposed to be the good guy. He turned out to be obsessive and manipulative in a very creepy way. This story was so cringy. The typos and misplaced punctuation were out of control. After being known as Zo for most of the book, his name switched to Zoe towards the end. This book desperately needs to be edited.

SO GOOD!

The thick, oozing, beautiful chemistry between Lionel and Storm was perfect and sexy! This book was so good! Alonzo just wasn't giving what he should have, such a disappointment honestly. I could not put this book down. Every page, every chapter was full of everything necessary to keep me heavily engaged. I love reading everything by this author. She's so talented! Y'all better read this book!

F**k Around and find out you will love this story 🤣🤣🤣

Oh I did not see all the action in this story and I am so glad I opened this book. I have NEVER and I mean NEVER read a bad book from this author. This is a fast paced book but it truly worth it!

First off Alonzo was a nut case and I was like are you really this stupid, but he proved me right 🤣🤦🏾‍♀️🤣. Storm I felt for her but also glad she held herself accountable because she never asked questions and when it was meant for her to move on she kept opening the door until Lionel came along and gave her what she deserved. Lionel (Lion) was BDE all day and I was not made about him going for what he knew was his. I also wasn’t mad he gave her that ultimatum because she needed it for them to move towards their future.

I did not want this book to end but I am ready for the next book for sure!

After the first 2 or 3 I almost gave up on the book because I didn't like the toxic love situation that was going on. I'm glad I stuck with it though. That plot twist was a little unexpected. I feel like there should have been more to the ending. It felt incomplete. Still a good read though.

5 years of bs

I let this be a mystery in my head because I needed to know what Storm was going to do and choose. That damn Alonzo has me seeing red! I can understand the hesitation in Storm to wanting to start over again after dealing with 5 years of bs. I enjoyed the book.

Over Him

This was really good! Zo had a lot of nerve and I don’t know what was more alluring, Lion’s words or the way he used his tool😂

Escaping toxicity

Storm was in a five-year toxic relationship with Alonzo, and one night after finding out about his extracurricular activities with other women, she decided she no longer wanted any part of it, but Zo just would not let her go. Zo had to be the most narcissistic man ever! The way he disregarded Storm's feelings and held her against her will, I was so glad she stood her ground. Now Lionel, he was a man's man. He did everything to prove to Storm she was his one, and I’m glad she didn’t run from him. The way he chased her, it was so cute.

This book was a window into a messy relationship / love triangle (or square). You get a chance to see into the mind of a cheating ex-boyfriend, a potential lover, and a broken-hearted girl you can relate to. Her feelings were raw and truthful. Her thoughts and actions were unfiltered. There were a few nuggets of advice we can all benefit from. Great story.

Also, it was a wonderful bonus catching up with Simone and Seth.

Read This!

Such a good read. Great writing and character development. Alonzo is trash from the jump and you pray that Storm finds her way to greener pastures. Lionel shows up and shows out when all Storm wants to do is ease her aching heart. You will definitely not put this book down until the end!!

This book left me smiling

I love the stories Ms Davies weaves and this was no exception. There was steam and drama, love, tears and a HEA. I loved how Storm stood up for herself and the two men in her life loved her the right and wrong way. It was great to have characters from other books pop up too. Do yourself a favour and 1 click this book. I eagerly await the next book.

Good Story

This was a really good book. Storm was working my nerves being so wishy washy. She put up with Zo for years and but gave Lionel such a hard time. I’m so glad Lionel pushed through and didn’t give up. Zo was cray cray, he really thought he could have his cake and eat it to.

Treat her right or someone else will!

Loved this story, usually read darker themes but I loved this story; I also liked the twist towards the end, sometimes those little twist remind you that even the knight in shining armor may not be perfect and makes him more realistic... a few minor editing issues along the way, but nothing to stop you from reading.

Over Him

Heat level ***** Lion plays no games! He lays it out and how can you not scoop it all up with both hands! The audacity of Zoe just makes you want to bust him in his €ock! Storm finding her self worth and the journey it takes you on makes you want to scream. But when the journey is complete it leaves you rubbing your hands together wanting more.

The cover is everything. I found myself 20% into a book where the protagonist not only stays with a man who cheats, but also acknowledges her part in accepting mistreatment. But I would have liked to have seen some forward movement in the plot, or at least something that hints that she won’t be torturing herself the entire book by holding onto a piece of man

Good Story

Ms Davis always gives us spicy, twisty stories. Storm has come to realize that her boyfriend Zo is a possessive trifling cheater. But walking away is hard and it’s complicated. She meets Lionel who is connected to Zo and JESSICA. Mercy! It was great seeing Simone and Seth, again!

Glad I gave this read a try

First time reading from this author. She definitely has a lot of potential as a writer. But she desperately needs an editor. For the most part the grammar was fine but there were wayyyyy too many typos. It was very distracting from the story. Otherwise I look forward to reading more from Ms Davis and I definitely recommend anyone who likes “urban” romance to give this a try. It’s worth it

Mannnnnnn

Man, So was 100% complete fool. His level of arrogance and entitlement was out of this world. Storm was a trooper and found her way through the battle of life. But Lion, I don't know how nicely about him by the Time I got to their book. Sneaky...
