This is a well written shifter romance with strong characters in Declan and Milla. The author brings the heat throws in danger, fear and a few surprises and delivers a great read. Loved it!!

Milla was heart-broken when she was 18. The wolf shifter that she thought was her fated mate was going to college and was denying that they were mates. She demanded that he touch her to prove they wouldn't imprint and is confused when the imprint didn't happen. Since that time she has lost her belief in fated mates and has no desire to mate. She is concentrating on building her midwife practice for wolf shifters. She becomes very angry when the mate of one of her patients calls Alpha Declan when a delivery turns a little hairy. She hates that he stepped in when she had said she had it under control. She is so angry that she goes on a run in her wolf. Near the boundary of pack lands she is shot at by a hunter with special silver bullets. Luckily Declan is there to stop the hunter. Milla was hit with one of the bullets and needs the bullet removed before she bleeds to death. Declan can help her but that he would have to touch her risking an imprint. Is death better than being mated with a prideful wolf?.

This is a very cute, steamy short read. I like the main characters, Declan and Milla. Milla is recovering from a heartbreak she suffered 10 years ago when she discovered the man she had chosen as hers wasn't her mate. Fate had other plans and brought Declan into her life. Declan is the Alpha of the pack and she's now a midwife. Individually, they are each a force to be reckoned with. Together, they seem almost unstoppable. I really enjoyed their story. There were a few thing, minor things, that broke me out of my reading trace, but those were minor things that were easily overlooked. I liked that the author made a few time jumps to give us a look into the future for the pair. I plan to go back and read the first book to see how Cadoc and Reyna got toether. I loved meeting Jax. The scene where he showed up in the story and interceded when Donald went to approach Milla was great. His words to Donald had me cracking up. I look forward to reading more in this world.

It's 2 short!! It needed 2 b longer. I don't care 4 the ending of how it just dropped off like that. I would have wanted 2 c how she deals with their surprise. she thought she knew love and so sure about a mare but he was a chicken shit 4 not telling the truth upfront and waiting over 10 yrs 2 finally admit the truth!! yea he let his stubborn pride cause trouble like always lol but most men r like that... His bro needs 2 man up and take more responsibility instead of hiding out. When things get bad who will save her when its needed the most? Read and find out. Its interesting 2 actually c a "special" kind of man. U'll find out what I mean by a certain pain in the ass man that caused trouble in the past but not intentionally.

Declan and is twin are the pack, Alphas. Milla is a midwife in the pack, and she also is Declan's mate. She is wary about being his mate because of the heartbreak she suffered when she was wrong before. When she goes out for a run a hunter shows up and shoots her. Declan shows up as he was out running to and kills the hunter and forces Milla to shift in order to save her life. Its not long before things are heating up between them. Will they both finally get the happy ending the have been waiting for?

This is a great story that once I started it I couldn't put it down. This is a well written and very entertaining story. It's a book that any book lover would enjoy.

Declan and Milla . . .

Declan Harlow and his twin brother are the pack Alphas. His brother has found his mate, so Declan is feeling the pull of wanting to settle down as well. Milla Grey has come home and, when he touched her, the two of them imprinted. That means that within 3 days, they must mate or they will lose their wolf.

But Milla is stubborn and thinks Declan is an arrogant jerk. So she intends to leave and not mate with him. Is the Alpha willing to let that happen? Or will he show her how things could be between them? Will she accept him before their time limit expires?

This can be read in an afternoon/ evening but is still a full length story . The second in a series but easy to read as a stand alone you dont need to have read the first (but it is another great story ) . Full of angst with rejected (potential and real ) mates and fear of further rejection Strong characters and a well written story.

Oh! this story is wonderful. There is danger in being a wolf shifter, then you add in child birth plus Hunters. Trifecta, Not a way to go. Hunters are so full of hate. I don't understand why they are that way. Maybe because they are jealous. Maybe they want that kind of power. Very good story I enjoyed it very much. it is legal for the alphas to kill if necessary to protect their pack and themselves- so why is the mayor letting the humans get angry about it?

I loved this story. I couldn’t get enough of Milla and Declan.

Milla thought she would mate with someone after her 18th birthday but it wasn’t meant to be. She has lived her life and became a midwife. Declan is one of the twin alphas and while he is happy his brother found his mate, he wants his as well. Milla and Declan are both prideful wolves but Fate has plans for them. When they realize they are mates, what will happen?

Rejection is hard, shifter or not. Mila was humiliated but life goes on. Declan was a grumpy alpha but a good one. And after one touch, they are fated mates. Through in a little danger and you have a delightful little afternoon delight. I volunteered to read and review an advance reader copy

This was an entertaining read and I enjoyed following these two as they worked towards an HEA. Rejected mates is definitely a theme for these stubborn characters and I found myself moving from the edge of my seat to giggling away ;) Safe to say I'm looking forward to the next book :D
